A fun little idea. The classic free will vs predestination argument. A cheeky twist is that everything is predestined, but whoever is making the rules wants people to eventually be weaned off predestination so true free will can exist. For a small movie, there are lots of interesting worldbuilding ideas; like all doors being connected by a dimensional hub, hats disguising the Agents, waterways creating a sort of dead zone. A lot of thought and care went into the movie.

@@KnyghtTeddy I mean. Kinda? I think your more referring to what many world call, maximal autonomy. The idea that nothing, and nobody else has influence, over you.
Cause in real life we dont define free will as requiring maximal autonomy to function. In real life we dont get to make ANY choice we want. When we have a choice we get to choose amongst the options that there there, sometimes we have more to do with what those options are than other times. Like someone who made the choice earlier in life to get a master's degree in cyber security has more options than someone who did not go through the trouble of getting that degree.
And there are also choices that you have no say in what the options will be. Like say you are at the rec center signing your child up for a recreational activity. You reallyvwanter him to take some form of martial art, but unfortunatky they do not offer any martial art classes at your rec center. So instead you much choose between some of the available options like basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. You still have a choice to excersize your free will upon, but you had absolutly zero to do with which choices that rec center was going to have available for you.
In the first situation you are closer to maximal autonomy, than the second, but you dont actually have it in niether. Matter a fact the o ly being that could have maximal autonomy is an infinite self existing being like god in the first place.
Which is why I think it is a strawman to require any hint of maximal autonomy in defining free will. It is more fair, and congruent with reality to define free will as something like
"Having the ability to make a distinct choice between options whenever, and wherever there is a choice to be made."
Because that's more of what free will of classically (and in my opinion correctly) thought of as. Just because there are factors beyond your control, and some instances in life will give you bo choice at all does not mean free is eliminated"

4:27 Harry is just Sam Wilson/Falcon from Captain America : Civil War, David is Steve Rogers on the run from a shady agency, and Elise is a gender swap for Bucky. Richardson is Baron Zemo.
We soon realize that this is a Multiverse version of Captain America: Civil War set 5 years into the past.
