@RaisedCane-qn3ts yeah, typically players do get better during their final years. I'm quite familiar, I watched every single game Herbert played in college.
The Rose Bowl versus Wisconsin was the game that really put the nail in the coffin of how Mario held him back. Mario tried to do his typical nonsense, but Herbert wasn't going to lose the Rose Bowl and overrode him and basically took it over to the chagrin of MC.
@erikleask6569 Yeah, sure, whatever you say. However, Herbert's 2019 season speaks for itself in regard to a senior QB who finally mastered the offense. That is, in a nutshell, the reason why upperclassmen perform better... EXPERIENCE in the system. It's just that to refuse to acknowledge that Herbert's stock gained value under Mario's tutelage or that Mario somehow held Herbert back is simply lack of understanding. That's all. 😐
