I'm glad you managed to have fun with your day and still catch the train home; I started getting nervous after you pointed out the need for punctuality and then had the issue finding the museum to begin with.

Very nice video! I loved your husband’s eye roll in the elevator, lol! There’s one of those big pendulums in the Jesse Besser Museum in Alpena. Last time I was in Chicago was May 2011 for a Rammstein concert, but my ex and I just drove past downtown and didn’t go see it. Maybe someday Don and I will. We’re small town/country people, too. I like to visit big cities, like I went to New York City In 2008, but I’d never want to live in one!

I actually visited New York City in 2008 as well! That was... one of the most overwhelming weeks of my life lol. I kind of would like to go back there now that I'm older, but I think we'll stick to visiting place around Michigan for now.

PandaBunny I won a contest from Sirius Satellite Radio. They flew me and my now-ex-husband to NYC for the Warped Tour. They put us up in Hotel Pennsylvania and the first night we walked to Times Square. By the end of that I was getting frustrated because the crowds were so huge. I wanted to look at things in the big Toys R Us and people wouldn’t even move over so I could see things on the shelves. Walking down the sidewalk was like a sardine can. We ate at McDonald’s and it was so crowded we had to go the second floor and we’re lucky we found one tiny table in the corner. However, getting to see Times Square, a place I thought I’d never find myself standing, was pretty cool. The next morning Sirius had a limo take us to Warped Tour and we spent all day there and then they took us back to the hotel. The next day they flew us back home, so the whole thing was 3 days. It was pretty fun. I had never been to Warped Tour before and I ended up liking it and I went to the Michigan stop 3 times over the years. The whole thing made me realize nothing is impossible. If I could find myself in Times Square, I could find myself anywhere.
