    Amazing playing and amazing sound :) It sounds like Sitar and Setar. I also love the much darker sound of it (compared to sitar)

    amazing instrument and playing. may i ask which strings / gauges do you use for main strings and sympathetic strings... cannot find any information on it, would be very grateful :)

      @markuswach  Год назад

      Yes sure, it's always little different but I use 0,22 and 0,3 for main strings and 0,2 for resonance strings

    Beautiful, I love the tone cluster of the resonant strings. Also, 1:11 sounds like the spongebob guy announcing the krabby patty secret formula.

      There are so many in Herat, Afghanistan. You can ask your friends/relatives in Afg. to buy it for you from there and send it to you by FedEx .

      Ik heb wel een pure Rabab uit Herat te koop als je interesse hebt?
      Hij is van top tot teen versierd met sadaf en het is het grootste model inclusief tas.

    Dutar sounds like a sitar

  • @mohhamadpouyamollavali

    ah yes dutar(دو تار) it definitely has only 2 strings
    o(دوتار) translated means two stringed, tar(تار) is string and (دو) is 2
    si( سی) = 30
    se(سه) = 3

    • @markuswach
      @markuswach  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, Dutar means two strings. The traditional afghan Dutar got 3 strings in some Part of History. And about 80 years ago the Herati Dutar was invented and Just kept the Name although it has a Lot more strings
