Hoosier slicks, skinnies up front, half shafts, McLeod twin clutch, 1 PC driveshaft, vertical links, BMR lockout, good air, 6k rpm launch sold shifts , 10.95 at 124 . none of this stuff adds horsepower either. great runs man shows how awesome a little 302 cu in motor natural aspirated can be. keep vids coming , good luck
Hey guys I hope you enjoyed this one! Scott drove the crap out of the car! It took a few tries to get it right but man did Scott get it right! If you have no seen the full build video be sure to check it out now! The video includes install of parts and dyno at VMP Performance: tube.com/watch?v=oNF7GZ2mm9Y
Great job guys, very impressive. Dont forget part of the bragging rights are getting that time with a 6-spd too. Its one thing to mash the pedal and hang on while the automatic does the work, but another when you gotta have the ability to be quick with the stick.
Perry DiMarco exzactly what im saying ,its eazy to stall a car at the light then let a trans brake go or release the brake pedal. real skill is to bang gears in a mansmission!!
Just need some more practice . Just remember everyone that's talking shit they are all pro drag racers and ran low 9s with zero errors they're first time at the strip
this makes me rethink installing my vortech... My 03 cobra ran 11.2s at 122 with 490 at the wheel, if my coyote can do that NA then why install the blower and take away the reliability and add the risk. Congrats guys!
Ryan Fonseca I would still go with the blower, just get it tuned right, don't go crazy on the boost, full exhaust, E85, call it a day. You'll still be way faster than this car full weight and everything.
Ryan Fonseca depends on how fast you want to go. If you have a Cobra and Coyote have the Coyote be the reliable daily and then the Cobra be the track car that's still street legal.
Ryan Fonseca i think you should go with the blower. In the intake manifold install vid Scott pegs the rev limiter each run to 7800rpms. I assume these runs are no different. I think thats just as bad if not worse on stock internals than a blower. At least with the blower you dont need 7800rpms to run 11s. imho a gt350 manifold in a gt coyote without gt350 internals doesn't mean its safe to run at near gt350 motor redline, but these guys are crazy that's why I love their channel lol
+1234zcrom same internals as the boss 302 of the previous s197 generation and that was revving just as high from the factory. these motors don't hurt revving high , if they were hurting revving that high then they wouldn't build a ton of power all the way to 7500 with the manifold change . they need to rev
Ryan Fonseca I agree 100% my own 03 cobra FBO (ported blower also) ran 7.0-7.1 @ 93 in the 1/8 with 1.6 60's.... if I can replicate that n/a and trap 120's I'm happy
*CLUTCH FAILURE - BECAUSE you didnt do your burnout at the leading edge of the burnout box where its still wet. You NEVER NEVER EVER try to do a burnout that far in front of the burnout box. Thats where the VHT is and its the stickiest. You roll into the water, then creep to the edge of the box Stop there and start the burnout. At good smoke, you let off the brake and let the burnout roll out into the sticky stuff. It will slow you down when your tires hook. But for the love of god stop doing what your doing.
Wow, great runs!! My heart dropped when the clutch "smoked" instead of the tires. Amazing it still stood up to more runs, that says a lot for the clutch. A whole second, that's pretty damn good!! Your the real deal, from making the car look better, sound better and perform better but more importantly you can drive it to it's max! Great job!! I guess you're not just a Mexico burnout queen...LOL...LOL
Congrats! I would have called it a day after that 11.3 @122 run anyway. Were you on the stock half shafts? Also do you think the Cobra Jet intake would have performed better? I am trying to decide between the two intakes. Thanks!
Yes stock halfshafts. I typically suggest gt350 for s550 and cobra jet for 11-14. GT350 fits under the stock hood while Cobra Jet does not on S550. The Cobra Jet usually has a slight edge on performance but personally I would go GT350 again before trying to go Cobra Jet route.
So a stripped interior too? Based on the early part of the vid? I ran a 1.77 60' and 12.5@115 in my 2013 automatic base 5.0 with just a tune and K&N drop in and properly warmed Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Nice launch on that last pass! Perfect amount of slip. Congrats! What rules does that track go by? I remember back in the day people getting kicked off the track for running sub 12 sec passes without a cage.
Scott...GREAT RUN !......Are you running 3.31 rear? I notice you went thru the traps after having just shifting into 4th. Do you recall your RPM in 4th at the 1/4 mile mark? Thanks.
I wonder what i can get at orlando speedway on my 16 gt. I have a lund tune (on 93 currently), a pmas intake, and long tubes. Running on a 6r80 auto with 3:55 gears
I have the same setup in a 15 premium gt. The key here is the E85, get that and you could probably run a little quicker time. I have no e85 near me so I do with the 93 tune.
Mustang Lifestyle he half shaft won't hold much :) I'm afraid to snap my with the DRs :))) but will c how ill do that's my next for this year half shalfs and driveshaft.
Have you had any issues with the VMP E85 tune? I have one on my 2019 GT and it would randomly dip under 500 rpm’s and turn off. Doesn’t happen often but it has happened.
I fucken love you guys!!!! You guys entertain me when in bored!!! And SCOTT I HOPE YOU READ THIS BUT YOUR CAR IS AMAZING, THE WAY IS SOUNDS JUST MAKES ME WANT TO MAKE MINE SOUND THE SAME. LOVE YOUR CAR
2nd in theory gets the tires hot faster because more wheel speed and therefore generate less heat prior to a run but in this case the clutch was not strong enough to hold it.
That was badass. Driveshaft should be scotts next mod. It's easy to do. I have a 17 5.0 and I'm building very similar to Scott's 5.0. It was awesome to find quality video on a bolt on S550. I have kooks Hpipe exhaust, kooks catless headers. GT 350 intake, mani, and TB. With E85. And aluminum DS. Should be interesting to compare.
Reaction time does not count towards the time. Hence why when most people go for a good time they are not concerned with the light and they focus only on getting the best launch possible.
ah ok thx. here in germany the most quarter mile events includes the reaction time so it's a bit more difficult :) but 11.3sec is really good time for a gt. a stock gt s550 takes about 13sec right?
Mustang Lifestyle ok i will see what my s550 will take at quarter mile. But at the moment i still wait for it. My mustang is in transit to baltimore :) it should be arrive in may here. can you tell me how much cost a s550 gt without track/performance package and without premium package in the us? and how much with track and premium?
Hoosier slicks, skinnies up front, half shafts, McLeod twin clutch, 1 PC driveshaft, vertical links, BMR lockout, good air, 6k rpm launch sold shifts , 10.95 at 124 . none of this stuff adds horsepower either. great runs man shows how awesome a little 302 cu in motor natural aspirated can be. keep vids coming , good luck
2017 or 2018 GT?

Mustang Lifestyle Do you think Andrew and Scott can drag race to see who's car is faster?
MGW short throw would keep Scott and Ashley from missing 3rd with the Tremec. ;-)
Mustang Lifestyle dude! Is Scott from Detroit? And are u at Milan dragway?

Hi
Great job guys, very impressive. Dont forget part of the bragging rights are getting that time with a 6-spd too. Its one thing to mash the pedal and hang on while the automatic does the work, but another when you gotta have the ability to be quick with the stick.

Perry DiMarco preach
ouch that clutch burn hurts my heart
Kevin G rear main seal maybe? ouch......
+Mi•cha•el's nature of the beast trying a 2nd gear burnout with too much grip. After it was all 1st gear to ensure no slip
+Mi•cha•el's the RMS is fine, just got the stock clutch hot running it on the track and asked too much of it. Look for a fix coming very soon
Just need some more practice . Just remember everyone that's talking shit they are all pro drag racers and ran low 9s with zero errors they're first time at the strip
Hell yeah, sick run Scott! I can't wait to review that beast. 👍
RIP FBO
Congrats Scott, one hell of a run! 11.3 daily driver. Holy shit that's fast.
I have been looking to get a 5.0 and these videos just make me want one even more.
Guy with the broom at 5:50 is like "move out of the way please" LOL
Lol his ears were probably hurting. I know mine were behind the camera Lol- Andrew
HELL YEAH!!!!! What a run, very impressive time and speed for bolt ons. FORD = First On Race Day
this makes me rethink installing my vortech... My 03 cobra ran 11.2s at 122 with 490 at the wheel, if my coyote can do that NA then why install the blower and take away the reliability and add the risk. Congrats guys!

Gets me excited to get mine to the track. Got a few more special things to get
Grats Scott! Good run!
Congratulations Scott! Now that's. Putting in work!
Quicker then I thought, impressive time slip Scott. Kudos!

LMBC6Brian someone that knows the proper way!
LMBC6Brian the way he does his burnout is a lesson on how to break stuff
He said it was his first time on those tires too so cut him some slack guys. We all start somewhere..
Thank god you said it. That poor mustang :(
I sniff sweaty smelly hot chiks stained Panties
The real meaning of a BEAST
Amazing, that last run was some great shifting,
Loves the wheels and tires set up. Sweet combo
Wow, great runs!! My heart dropped when the clutch "smoked" instead of the tires. Amazing it still stood up to more runs, that says a lot for the clutch. A whole second, that's pretty damn good!! Awesome run. Just have headers to do to catch up with your setup.
Been waiting for the new footage! Enjoy the videos as always!
Congrats Scott that's incredible achievement for NA making us mustang fam proud !!
Congrats Scott last run was a beauty 👏🏻👏🏻
Congrats, and hella good driving on that run!
Good work Scott!
Well done man impressive!!
You got that time bc you had the perfect amount of spin, you didn't dead hook or spin half way down the track
Congrats! I would have called it a day after that 11.3 @122 run anyway. Were you on the stock half shafts? Also do you think the Cobra Jet intake would have performed better? I am trying to decide between the two intakes. Thanks!

Ironic, 4 years on and a ported 2018 manifold trumps both.
Especially your cobra man, I'm getting my first car in a few months and it might be an 01 cobra, something I can mess around with
That just looked like a ton of fun.
So a stripped interior too? Based on the early part of the vid? I ran a 1.77 60' and 12.5@115 in my 2013 automatic base 5.0 with just a tune and K&N drop in and properly warmed Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Awesome run! That launch was nasty. I have the exact same setup without cats. Dynoing Sunday 🙌
btow1105 what did u get catless adds alittle more flow and power
What’s ur setup
The biggest mod on that car is the driver!
ok maybe you were right about the rt nice run waybe i will see u out there when i get another motor for my 03 gt
What’s gears
Nice launch on that last pass! Perfect amount of slip. Congrats!
What rules does that track go by? I remember back in the day people getting kicked off the track for running sub 12 sec passes without a cage.
What weight saving mods are done to the car.. car runs good.
Hell yeah nice run!
That launch was crazy
Great job Scott
sick ass time scott!! great video
Scott...GREAT RUN !......Are you running 3.31 rear? I notice you went thru the traps after having just shifting into 4th. Do you recall your RPM in 4th at the 1/4 mile mark? Thanks.
Congrats!!!!
All the mods you said aren't full bolt on but dam that impressive
Nice runs. Don't forget to mention what was removed. I have same headers/cats. Did the CAI really make a measurable difference? GT350 intake?
looks like hard work does pay off great run, with that tune does that permanently turn trac control off?
The tune retain traction control. It can be turned off with the stock buttons.
I wonder what i can get at orlando speedway on my 16 gt. I have a lund tune (on 93 currently), a pmas intake, and long tubes. Running on a 6r80 auto with 3:55 gears

@@mache2784 yea im on a flex tune to run e as well but likewise e isn like half an hour or so from me
love you guys, your awesome and have the baddest cars out there😍
Thanks! :)
I remember my first time at the track too, cute.
she runs hard bruh and I'm a Chevy guy telling you that I'm impressed
After seeing this Stang mode has less mods and is just as fast if not faster now with his headers
Stangmode runs an automatic 2018 Mustang GT. Different motor and trans. Different car.
congrats on the fantastic runs Scott 👌 car hauls ass man
Very impressive!
Man he knows how to drive that car, way too go bro
Congrats, that was a boss run.
Thanks!
nice run
nice solid run
awesome guys 11.37 kick that Camaros butt!!!!!
Great job guys
Man, who knew there were so many professional drivers in the comment section?!
#drivermod
Just wondering, how does that car handle with just lowering springs? I really love these mustangs.
Handles fairly well. Tires also make a difference in handeling
Very NICE. How much HP?
You gonna cam that mustang sometime?? That would be absolutely sick, great video btw
Good video looking for fbo with Circle D converter times
very, very impressive!!
Fast times for sweet car.
very nice , now that a great time. i cant wait for my wheels and drag radials to come. U still have stock Half=Shafts?
Stock half shafts, stock driveshaft, and it was a stock clutch....
My 15 has Corsa longs, xpipe, mufflers.
E85 Lund tune. Only trapping 113...a bit disappointing.
great run, what tire are you using ???
M&H Racemasters 275/45/17
Congrats!! dam and no forced induction, badass. Gotta save my pennies for the coyote swap for my cobra, lol. Im back at $0 now though :(
Damn. Watched a view of your videos...you beat the hell outta that thing lol.
Long live the manuals - good runs, anything done to the MT82?
What does full bolt on mean? Does that include full exhaust + intake + cam? or just full exhaust + intake ?
Longtube headers, Intake Manifold, Cold Air Intake, Tune, Injectors, and E85
That car is fast. Nice shifting. Driver MOD
Stock half shafts?
I fucken love you guys!!!! You guys entertain me when in bored!!! And SCOTT I HOPE YOU READ THIS BUT YOUR CAR IS AMAZING, THE WAY IS SOUNDS JUST MAKES ME WANT TO MAKE MINE SOUND THE SAME. LOVE YOUR CAR
Nice fuckin run man! That thing was scootin
Do you think they dyno tune from vmp is way better than a vmp email tune? I have the same mods but no where near as fast around 12.5s
What rpm do you launch the car I can’t grip or anything at 3-4.5k I get 9.3 on the 1/8 tips?
That things fucking moves!
LS what???... Solid run man. it feels good when you drive it right don't it, it returns the favor.
Spectacular. Nice build Scott.
Now, to get Ashley a blower.
+jkrigelman #AshNeedsASupercharger!
What's the big difference between doing a burnout in 2nd vs 1st? Wouldn't 1st be better to get more torque to break the tires loose?
2nd in theory gets the tires hot faster because more wheel speed and therefore generate less heat prior to a run but in this case the clutch was not strong enough to hold it.
Ahh, I get it. Pretty neat
+Bryce Pratt I will be! Looking forward to your results! Half Shafts and a Single Piece Drive Shaft are definitely on the list for this build
put a nitrous plate on it now
Did you put fluid down for the burnout? You should never do a burnout dry
Congrats on the beast run scottie-o
great job scott but still need a lil more ponies :)
1 question. does the quarter mile time includes the reaction time?
Reaction time does not count towards the time. Hence why when most people go for a good time they are not concerned with the light and they focus only on getting the best launch possible.
ah ok thx. here in germany the most quarter mile events includes the reaction time so it's a bit more difficult :) but 11.3sec is really good time for a gt. a stock gt s550 takes about 13sec right?
+n3sh0m stock s550 is high 12 low 13 second card typically with stock tires and a so so driver (if manual)
Sick!
WHERE IS THE 2V "GREEN TURD ZILLA" WANNA SEE MORE OF THAT!!!!
Damn that car would be a monster with a procharger added to it.
11.3 from bolt ons is fucking fast
Y'all making me wanna come over to the dark side lol good shit fellas
Hey guys just subscribed and bought a 50th s550 but I'm wondering why he's not using launch control?
Launch control doesn’t work that well for drag racing in a prepped surface. This was launched at 5500 rpm
Will you guys be getting 2018s?
what rpms did you launched it in the last run?
+ricardo simon 5500
great video.
I have one question. Why aren't you dumping the clutch on the launch? Ik the amount of grip doesn't help but curious
+illestFoxbody YT it will spin through second with a straight dump. Need the 60' grip
