The quest gives you an item that you drink, which makes you see the fire elemental. He didn't use the item. Most likely before the clip he used Stoneclaw totem (It's on CD) when the stoneclaw totem died the mob pulled onto him instead which lead to his death from an invisable mob.
If you dont have the sapta up the elementals are invisible

First clip is in the Checkpoint quest area. Lvl 17 centaurs are CONSTANTLY spawning there, and if you're doing the quest (which 13 is way too low for) you're supposed to stay near the friendly taurens. Maybe he didn't know that and got caught in the middle of it...

I'm always impressed by how spatially unaware the average HC player is.
It's no different in wrath or retail, it's just more obvious in HC because nobody posts non-HC death clips
I wouldn’t necessarily say that, it’s more these people put in 6-9+ days played just to get to max level and not paying full attention for just a few moments at any point in that can potentially cause you to die.
To be fair, it is far more entertaining for the viewers if the player doing the HC run is somewhat reckless and arrogant.
if you pick the most spatially unaware moment from tens of hours of gameplay then sure

Ppl either die due to bad calls or bad spatial awareness.
I always wonder what's going on through people's minds when they think they can run through a zone or solo an elite that is higher level than they are. Throwing days of progress away for almost nothing.

Forgetting that you cannot breathe underwater is always a Classic! Considering that most times, under water breathing potions are actually quite plentiful and cheap!!!
i dont get half of these, its like ppl play for hours been carfull, then just go "well lets run through 20 mobs to save 3 min"

Why do so many of them have their backs turned? Even when using shield block lmao, you can't block/parry from behind and it also enables you to become dazed, alot of these deaths could've been avoided lmao :P
I was in the group with Emilios (HCAS World Tour teammate) - the turbo AOE spec he rolled with didn't have Ice Block in it. In the moment he forgot he didn't have it which is why he stayed in and kept AEing - you can even see on his bar that he's mashing his IB macro right before he gets clapped
@@M._R. To win $5000. Like I said, Emilios was my HCAS World Tour teammate. This is the problem with videos like this - there is ZERO context given at all. The HCAS World Tour is an 11-week long HC dungeon speedrunning tournament with 5 different dungeon circuits. The whole point is to run the dungeons fast by using risky strats, and at the end of it all the team with the most points wins the money. The clip in this video is from Circuit 3 of the World Tour

@@M._R. No worries, my team actually dropped out after Emilios died. Circuit 4 is April 29 with a level cap of 51.5, and we had decided before C3 that if any of us died during the circuit we were just gonna be done. Having to level from 1 to 51 in 2 weeks is pretty grueling lol. But the rest of us survived and we're continuing our characters as regular HC toons instead of World Tour toons. Onward to 60!!

I think the meta is to jump up and face them while you're in the air so they hit you face on. But you have to know their attack speed. That way you can dodge and not get dazed
@@Dmoskians yea or strafing with your body slightly turned to them so they can never daze and you can dodge/parry/block. You’re just completely vulnerable to them.
@@Dmoskians Nah there's a way of jumping sideways and never leaving you back to the mobs so you can evade daze while dodging some hits alltogether.
But weird enough none of these "pros" do that.
@@youknowwho257 Jumping side ways is ideal as you will still be going in a straight line. It can be annoying to while paying attention to other mobs getting aggro. I feel like its not even worth doing depending on your class. Like rogues should definitely do it since they have a high chance of dodging. But on the other hand once you're dazed its gg.

I was wondering the same thing. How do you get to level 48 with your camera zoomed up your character's butt? Zero spatial awareness, and running around with their bags open instead of having everything keybound?

What I noticed is most of these deaths are by mages and warriors, along with druids. Are the other classes just above NPC IQ or just not played that much?
Most likely more people playing those classes and submitting videos. Mages are one of if not the best solo leveling classes in the game, druids are rogues that can heal themselves, and Warrior is a tank or tanky DPS for groups, so they're naturally more common.

Context is important - that clip is from my team's HCAS World Tour Circuit 3 Cath clear. The plan was to Eye of Kilrogg pull the boss, which would also pull the rest of the mobs in the Cathedral, which we would then AOE using a combination of Goblin Mortars, bombs, sappers, and regular AOE, with target dummies to hold mobs while we AOE'd. The mage's literal job was to blow everything and turbo AOE. He specced for extra AE damage and everything. We were just late on the target dummy drop so he died

I had a death similar to the first clip last night that's really put me off playing.
Areas are super crowded so there's high competition for mobs which seem to spawn so slowly and then suddenly every single mob respawns on top of you and there is nothing you can do.
I hope blizzard make an official HC server and put some effort in to sort put spawn rates, maybe turn sharding on so questing isn't either fight for tags on mobs or pray you don't get spawn ganked

The first clip wasn't a bug or anything, someone just started the group quest near him, which spawns hordes of centaur that then attack the quest givers location. He was literally just unlucky to be walking through there just as someone started it, and the only way he could've avoided it would've been knowing about it beforehand so he didn't go near it.

He’s a horde retail rank 1 pvper/Blizzcon champion. What killed him was someone starting the event in that southern bunker defending from the massive centaur attack; he got unlucky crossing at same time and they jumped him. Those were not hyperspawns
