Where is a Dash spell in a cat form in Xaryu clip ?
Gnomeregan, we have killed last boss and we wanted to finish quests, we went middle road and Dark Iron Dwarves came behind us. This was so quick, Dwarves laid about 3/4 land mines. I wanted to run back as my instinct would tell me, but i forgot about mines, they killed me instantly. Whole group died. Rip my Hunt 33

I did some research on wowhead and it seems that the Crypt Walkers in that area are bugged. They cast without aggro
The reason that person died is not even the Crypt Walker they're fighting.
Will you see in the background is Crypt Scarabs spawned by the spell Crypt Scarabs.
Crypt walkers will cast the spell even if you are not in combat with them. If you're unlucky enough to have this happen to you while eating, they all crit you at once.
It is common for them to attack at once too. 6+ mobs doing 100+ damage. The curse also makes you weaker if it's the one i think
Ironically enough, that last pally popping Divine Protection is the only thing that saved him since it prevented him from melee attacking
Average streamer: runs into 6 mobs and dies - "surprised Pikachu face"

He shouldn't have run away. These 2 mobs are easy to kill

When there is no mana, you can bubble + Bandages

"Please get in before it closes" is just the dumbest thought process. Unimaginably dumb. Rushing to get on an elevator right at the end is the one thing you shouldn't do. Either get on it right at the beginning or wait.
I just died again at lvl 38 coz of escort quest in Desolace, i felt so bad and wanted to give up but watching your vids just helps me get over it and go again, ty
i've started idly getting characters to like 8 or 10 and then leaving them sit so that if something dies at 30 or whatever i don't feel like I have to "start completely over"

Why did the Priest die at 5:15- 5:35 ?
Like I wrote in another comment - the scarabs are spawned by an ability Crypt Horrors have but the ability is bugged. The scarabs don't attack properly, they have issue reaching their target and just mass up until the attack succeds (?) at which point all of the scarabs combined do massive damage in a single moment
I need a combat log followup. Looked like some kind of holy spell. Maybe something to do with the shadow form?
I'm guessing the crypt walker has a spell that summons 6 crypt scarabs which all hit for 15-16 damage, and probably summoned like 12 scarabs and they all did 1 united attack. Since the death text says he died to a crypt scarab.
His hp went to less than or equal to zero.

1:24 Tauren druids always regrowth after war stomp and its getting them killed by melee. Get the distance first after war stomp, either cat form dash or travel form then heal cause he still had plenty of mana.
This is funny to me because Xaryu is always breaking down deaths in HC Classic "How they could haev been prevented" and you called him out on his death.

@@Kanoog I always look at things where rng could screw you. Melee mobs usually crit more than caster mobs and they daze you.
It was a very fake death. Otherwise he'd have used Nature's grasp.
Or just clear mobs around first so you don't pull 3 elementals sigh!

I'm gonna call out Bronzai hard here. We don't know his exact level because he runs away with auto attack on, so we still see combat icon instead of level icon after he left combat, but a level 23 is green to him. So he is 26+.
yet he did not train concentration aura (level 22)
I mean sure, just hard cast with 0% interrupt protection through two dual wielding mobs. 12 silver well saved there. I also love how he loot goblins in a life or death situation. Gotta get that silk cloth. Even though he apparently doesn't know what bandages are...

So far, my understanding of a majority of hardcore deaths is:
Dying to fall damage.
Dying while AFK
Dying because of someone else's stupidity
And (my personal favourite) dying to a pack of mobs you pulled and used 0 AoE or cleave abilities on and being surprised Pikachu face when you die after only killing 1
dieing for clout pretending to be ignorant about the game. two clips in this video alone
there is so much more than that.

i'd say probably 10% of these clips are fake, and some are clearly not even hc deaths at all, like literally no deathlog even when in level range

That last pally did not deserve to live. He has everything up and decides to LoH, burning all his mana, then runs with his back exposed, keeps judging the mobs and resetting leash, then finally bubbles but instead of bandaging, he just runs and makes it jut outta pure dumb luck.
And he easily could'Ve killed the mobs right away. bubble - bandage kill them. maybe LoH later if he need s to, but no shit, easy kill, was horrible to watch this as Paly player. Such Idiots are the reason we paly get trashtalked.

A lot of streamers I feel like they kill their HC character off if their viewers start getting bored of a class or lack of deaths since all hardcore players want others to die.

99% of players trying to run away with the characters back facing the mobs. You cannot dodge/parry/block and much higher chance of getting dazed. Instead you should strafe and use your mouse to turn your character!
You can only be dazed by being hit in the back

oof, the mage at 2:00... clicks ice armor, then clicks health pot rather than mana pot. Could have used blink to get out of there, and would have had an ice nova ready. Could have even put on a mana shield at that point.
I just aoe grinded at Dalson's Tears from 52-60 and the main threat of that pack is almost entirely the Invoker who nearly infinitely channels Arcane Missiles. All he had to do was actually Counterspell the missiles followed by either a rank 1 Cone of Cold or a delayed rank 1 nova and he would have been entirely fine

that warrior at 6:30 is so dumb i have no words, not listening to his healer, casually leaving 2 enemies on him like it's no big deal. 10/10 deserved
also warrior has 1 taunt and 1 mocking blow, so healer could run to warrior too. I play protection warrior more, but I think it is better to distribute damage evenly coz that big heal would create more threats

The Walker spawning the scarabs is not the one that he is in combat with. That is part of the bug. So, during combat he had 6+ scarabs-which do full attack amage compared to other minions- attack at once.

Crypt Horrors (other type of mob in that area) have an ability that summons scarabs. Those scarabs are supposed to reach you > damage you > disappear but, as seen in the clip, they're bugged - I'm not sure how it works but they can mass up and attack overwhelmingly and/or don't despawn after attacking.
They're also bugged in another way: if you aggro those mobs but don't kill them then the scarabs will keep you in combat indefinitely, no matter how far you run. The only solution is to kill the mob or leave the zone
If you look into the background, there's another spider that he mouses over real quick. That spider is probably an elite. The crypt scarabs hitting him aren't coming from the spider he's fighting, they're coming from the elite in the background. In the first hit, near the power word: shield, he's hit by the first set of scarabs. The second hit wipes out the shield, and I think that's two sets of scarabs. The third hit has like three sets of scarabs and doesn't have the benefit of a shield AND his inner fire wore off, which made the damage horrendous. You can watch the inner fire ticks to see how many hits he's taking.
The Xaryu one was painful after following the journey... It's almost like you don't think it's going to be true

When you start panicking a lot of people overestimate their ability to think straight. Like the saying goes Hardcore is easy until it's not.
You dont know how bad healing is in classic. Just one mob causes a 2 heal second cast to last 5seconds. The bar resets all the time. THe warrior should never made the pull to begin with.
