Another pen to add to the list for next year! Beautiful design. I like the design of the nib to go with the model. Also another pen, the Wing Sung 900 with the Heartbeat nib. I am guessing it is also the #9 nib. There was a desert of new offerings this year. Now, with the holiday season upon us, more models have come out. Thanks Chris.
Enjoyed this video, interesting looking pen as is the 100. A lot going on there. My favorite part of the video was the birds at your bird feeder, really cool also that cat pen holder at the very beginning. I have to get me one of those.
Not only did I enjoy the video, you and Une Fontaine de Plumes have almost convinced me to buy one. I thought for sure, that was Nahvalur Starry Night ink.
Another nice review Chris. It's a nice looking pen, and seems to work well for you. I know what you mean about losing motivation to buy new pens. For now, I'm happy with my Hongdian 100, and the D5 metal piston filler pen. I did get one new pen, and that was the Kanwrite Mammoth X which comes with a #9 nib. It's an interesting experience to write with it.
Hi Chris! Thanks for this very interesting and important review. I also added the Hongdian WA35 to my collection since they and the A7 are the fountain pens with the fourth generation nibs, but the A7 has some obvious issues. Beautiful ink!
@@chrisrap52 Its the not the pen itself. Mao's Red Star is the main symbolism on it. Like a Montblanc Alfred Hitchcock or Ernest Hemingway, and any other "homage" pen designs.
@@chrisrap52 Been here before. The 2022 Hongdian 100 anniversary fountain pen celebrated the Communist Party takeover of China. Hongdian itself says this pen is a symbolic collaboration with China's military and aerospace industry. I don't drink Mao's tea, Chris, that's all; just my personal view.

I've been trying to tell myself I don't need this pen but I want it 😊. Thanks for another great review Chris. Love the birdies 🐦🐦
I only recently bought my first Hongdian fountain pen and i was delighted at the quality. Thank you for sharing.

Greetings from Australia.
Great video, Chris. I'll put this down on my list.

I post many bird videos on Facebook. I have 2 camera feeders.
the nib is really cool looking! i have a CA35 on the way, same nib i am pretty sure...thanks for the review!
I sure enjoy your reviews! Thank you
Thank you for watching & supporting my efforts.
Hongdian is coming up with some great pens lately.
Thanks Chris, I always like your reviews! Love Hongdian pens too!

I enjoyed The Wetpen's review.
Thanks Chris. Mine too is stuck somewhere in transit.
Hope it arrives soon.

How do you identify the 4 generations of Hongdian nibs?
@@chrisrap52 It is Hongdian that defines these nibs as fourth generation, as they write in Chinese on the presentation images of the fountain pen.
Thanks, I'll try to find that. Interested in what changes in each generation.
Interesting and nice, thanks. I would never, however, own a pen with the Red Star on it. References to Mao's Cultural Revolution turn my stomach.
I have no political thoughts about writing instruments. Maybe I write some.

A red star has many meanings. Understand your feelings.

Nice review. Thanks!
Chris, you might have convinced me.
Thanks.
I loved the ink you used what was it please?

A nitpick from my taste if the red on top and back changed with the solar system engrave, that gonna be amazing
Great suggestion.
