Some people get overwhelmed by sensory input. Constant crying can trigger panic and anxiety in some folks. It is pure torture to be in a situation where you cannot escape the noise. Not anybody's fault, just is.

Airlines should make some rule with gov and doctors backing that for the wellfare of others on the plane if a child is continuously behaving in a loud manner that doses of valium or some other medicine governed by childs weight should be given to the child to settle them down. Four hours of that sort of behaviour is rediculous. At least the parents should recieve a warning that they should see a doctor about medicine to relax child while flying before the next time they fly if the same issue arises that they will be banned from flying with that company.

Even if the child did not intend to, that was still the effect, me personally four hours of that i would open the emergency exit and jump out, stop defending the parents who are being selfish to others, you know your child and you know if they are a big cryer or not, and if they are, you need to take steps to prevent tantrums mid flight that disturb other people, such as making sure they don’t sleep right before the flight so they sleep during it, and if you can’t do that, you need to find another way to get where you are going.
