I’ve gotten so many ideas from you, I do my own take on it, depending on the crafts I have on hand..I just made the flamingo in a frame, modge podge Christmas tree, and the pumpkin, I love your art..
Thank you!!
You do amazing art I just love it. You have given me so many ideas and projects to do. One thing when I have used fire glass in the past I color mine with alcohol ink, have you tried that technique before?
yes i have but i stoped doing it because I had a problem where it faded away. I know a lot of people do use it . I mainly use translucent spray paintruclips.net/video/ULWgfrwT4TQ/видео.htmlsi=ba2mJ-TRUPHqX1gB
The snowman ⛄ is adorable. Merry Christmas 🎅🎄♥
Thank you! Hope you had a Meery Christmas!

Love the snow man. I used the artist loft iridescent medium with paint But never thought about adding it to the fire glass. Thank you for sharing this and other great ideas. Can’t wait for your next video.
Thank you! Yes , I love the way it colors the fire glass.
any other way to make glass wht
@@crazyglassladyanything else to change glass wht
@@donnaalbertson9456 They have white alcohol ink, Or you could buy white glass from Hobby Lobby. or use white tiny stones
Adorable!
Thank you!
Love all your videos. Can you show what type of glass you use in your tumbler? I am not sure what I should pick up at thrift shops.
I have two videos. One was my very first one. I made a couple years ago and then another one that I made how to make sea glass. Here are the links.ruclips.net/video/YgvleUtaONM/видео.htmlsi=hu0UKSeuHaV_buND
Here is the second link, how to make Seaglass ruclips.net/video/dMqmKrRgxm4/видео.htmlsi=_3PrIugwOiZbHGhu
And if you can’t find colored glass, you can always paint it with spray paint, and here’s a video on thatruclips.net/video/nHuuYNoQN2g/видео.htmlsi=jM4lAV5b9hFoiE0C
Absolutely love this!
Thank you! Hard to believe the holidays are here again.
I love you! You are always giving us the details in all your videos! You are real! You share mistakes and how to fix them. You don’t make everything look effortless and goof proof...I love that about your videos. Your talent is amazing. Do you have an Etsy shop or website? I even love the mixed media using jewelry and other materials. You are truly one of my favorites on you tube. Thank you for sharing your process and your secrets. I wish you great success! Gail in SC.
Wow so nice of you! Thank you, yes I am learning as I go. No Etsy shop or web site. I do not sell anything just a hobby my husband works 12 hour days so I had to find something to keep myself busy. Everything either goes on my walls or to family and friends.
So Beautiful! Thankyou for sharing your amazing art! I have learned so much fromyou Cheers and Merry Christmas from Nova Scotia, Canada
Thank you! You are so welcome !
👍☕🙂 very cute!
Thank you!
Can you do this with watered down Mod Podge like you did the Christmas trees?
So most of the glass I used the mod Podge on was crushed glass whick is lighter but Im sure if you really saturated the glass ( before the frame is on of course) and let it sit undisturbed for about 1/2 hour it would prob hold I would start small .
I just love your videos. All so cute. Just wondering it when you tumble your own glass, do you add sand to the tumbler, if you do can you reuse the sand? And how long do you tumble for?
I have tried sand you just have to tumble for a longer period I have a video on how I tumble and the tumbles I use.
ruclips.net/video/dMqmKrRgxm4/видео.html
The wax you used on the frame, can you tell me what to look for?
What I have been using lately is something called big top after show to seal the paint goes on with a brush 1 coat and dries in like 30 min. You can google DIY paint its a brand name and see if you can find a local distributor or you can go online and order it.
I’m doing a 4 Season tree. What is the best thing to use for snow? I have had problems with my snow disappearing after the epoxy.
Well, whatever you use the trick is to put it on top of the resin and have the resin thin enough so that it doesn’t cover it I have used tube confetti, white tube confetti from the dollar tree that looks real pretty look on some of my Christmas videos from two years ago I’m trying to think which ones I did one on a cabinet door. It might’ve been a penguin I’m gonna have to look.
This one has tube confetti on the bottom
Can caulk be used to glue glass on too?
Yes of course I did a small snow man with liquid nails which would be similar to silicone. The liquid nails may be more invisible here is the small snowman ruclips.net/video/YWzOUuLoSBg/видео.htmlsi=YW-MPA7yllPwu5R3
Are the snowflakes stickers? I love this idea!
No they are actually a stencil I got on Amazon, so much easier then hand painting. You can get them on a sheet with multiple sizes to be reused over and over. There is a link to them on Amazon under my description I think you get like 5 pages of different stencils for $6.99
I loved this! I know you often tumble your own glass, but do you always use 1/4" sized fire glass or 1/2" as well?
1/4 inch fire glass
@@crazyglasslady I know you did in this project but is this the only size you ever use? ( When using fire glass? ) Just want to clarify.
@@Flutterbyartstudio with the clear fire glass yes but i do have some reflective gold that is 1/2 inch
@@crazyglasslady thank you so much for your reply. I'm excited to give this a go.
I am a little confused. You put painters tape on the back of the glass on the edges of the frame. Also on the front of the glass at the edges of the frame. When your project was done, there was no painters tape. Did I miss something? At what point did you remove the tape and how because resin was on top of it. I am going to replay this because I had to have missed something. Your work is awesome.
Only painters tape on the back. After the resin had set the next morning I removed it from the back before I did the video. I put the painters tape on the back just as an extra precaution against resin leaks
What is your preference for s glass tumbler? Not going to use for rocks. Going to order this am
I am in my 70s so am experienced with safety, etc.
Thanks for your help and videos.
Yes I guess they call them all rock tumblers. So this is the second one I had bought and it works wonderful. It's a national geographics tumbler I got on Amazon. This is the newer version of my national geographics tumbler :amzn.to/32LNmiw and this next one is less expensive but it's hard to tell the size because its not listed Im wondering if its too small ( the barrel) amzn.to/3HxvKGx just click the link to look at it. I'm not sure if the links will work on this but if not just google national geographics tumbler. I also have 2 huge tumblers but if you are just starting I'm assuming you want a smaller one . So the one in the link you could break up one large glass plate or a couple of glasses. The 1st one I talked about Im thinking the other one is smaller You would want to put it in the garage or back porch because of the noise
This is the one I have now amzn.to/3rfdQ5m holds 3 lbs
Also I was just thinking if you look back to my video that I did the yellow starfish I have my dan and darcy tumbler in that one . Just to give you an idea of the size that is my smallest which is a wonderful tumbler. but you can see in that video how much it holds and the national geographic one the more expensive one holds almost double.. So it just depends how much you need to tumble .
What are the snowflakes made from?
The snow flakes are stencils from amazon they are linked in the description just click on where it says ...more. stencil with white acrylic paint so easy to do.
What tumbler do you use?
I use several different tumblers. They are linked in the description . I also have a video how to make your own sea glass and I show you the different tumblers that I have and compare the sizes. .ruclips.net/video/dMqmKrRgxm4/видео.html
How do I share my pictures?
There is no way to share them on youtube I was thinking of starting a facebook group so everyone could share. But I would love to see what you made lberman6079@gmail.com
Have you found that the resin begins to yellow in any of your projects?
Not any of the ones in doors but one that is outdoors, My Mermaid is definitley yellowing. I did store all the Christmas ones that I kept indoors, like this snowman.
Also I have a video about one that I made as a welcome sign that sits in the direct sunlight at my entrance way ( I live in Florida) Some resins are more UV resistant then others. That is why I started using Art resin.
@@crazyglasslady Thank you for information. Love watching your videos
Dear sweet friends. I hope you will help me out. I am wanting to make 9 window (frame) Snowmen for gifts 9 to be exact. Hoping I have enough time. I would like to know if K S Tesin is a good least yellowing resin
That is what I have I. Hand it's the plus uv protectant kind. Also my frames are 8 x 10 largest being 11x 14. Not sure how much resin it takes for each. I notice you use gems to outline so things. Those I do not have can I make them without it. Sorry so many questions. You are my glass guru and I pray you can shed some light on my projects. I hope to be able to send you pics of what I do unless they do not turn out. I am somewhat intimated about starting . I have never donevthis before. Forgive me for asking so many questions. If you don't want to share your ideas I understand but you have me fired up on these snowman and I will do my best to make you proud. Again thank you for all the inspiration. I adore your work an I hope my friends like these as much as I do. Much love and hugs Sheryl White from Greenwood Indiana. 💙🎨💙
I have been using KS resin but I just started using it so I do not know any long term effects. Just be sure to tell the recipients that it should not be exposed to direct sunlight and to store it inside in a controlled climate. Another words do not store in the hot attic for the summer. Im sure it will be fine. Of course you can make them without an outline. what kind of glass are you using? Crushed class or chunky glass like fire glass? You could so a small version of this one. Have you seen this one it is smaller like the size you are doing> I did not use resin on it but you can do it with resin. ruclips.net/video/YWzOUuLoSBg/видео.htmlsi=5cMNeUMy5d3GsLGg
