- Denver's airport (DIA) is one of the largest and busiest airports on the planet, and many people find it to be one of the most confusing airports in the United States. You can get to the Denver airport from Downtown Denver by train using the RTD light rail. It's also one of many airports that has a train inside. And sometimes, you just want a tour of the airport before you get there.
While most people know Denver International Airport for its many conspiracy theories about lizard people, the Illuminati, and underground bunkers, there are also some helpful tips that can help you navigate this airport that has become one of the major airport travel hubs in the United States.

Hey just a few things to add! One when getting picked up the easiest way to orient yourself is that every door has a number 400-4… (I don’t remember the largest) but the first number represents the floor and the second is the door number. (Even I believe is for east side and odd for west although it’s been a few months so not too sure). Also important is that DIA is an important hub specifically for United and Southwest so United is generally in the B terminal and southwest is typically in C. BUT NOT ALWAYS TURE so don’t get confused if your ticket doesn’t follow that. A is mixed use for smaller airlines along with parts of B and C. Also you are missing in the B terminal there is a voodoo doughnuts and a snooze for brunch people.
Great tips, Danny! Thank you for adding them! Absolutely on the “not always” 🙏
I appreciate the info. Sometimes when I pick people up, I have to go around again because they are upstairs instead of down on 4. This is better now that I know the difference. Thank you.
You’re so welcome! It can definitely be confusing to first-time visitors. Hope it makes your future pickups a little smoother!
I fly out of DEN tomorrow and am terrified...checking luggage..locating clear...
Flying out to Denver next weekend and I've been told that you can get lost easily and that is why I'm watching a lot of videos to be prepared and know where to go 😅
Hello Dave. As a DIA travel veteran, I will tell you that if you're trying to avoid the slow, Neolithically incompetent and slow TSA security lines, do what I do and take the skybridge to A concourse and go through security there. It's a HELL of a lot faster.
Departures pick up works good for me as well. It's much easier.
Appreciate the tip! That departure pickup is definitely a DIA life hack 😀
LET'S GO NUGGETS!!!! Thought about you & all of your Denver videos.
Let’s gooooooo!!
here is a thing my mom works at dia for southwest and she know's everything about the airport. There are some facts that are really cool.
Security is currently getting rebuilt and moved to level 6 on the north end of the terminal. West security opened earlier this year and east security is currently being built. Once complete all security will be on level 6 with level 5 getting reworked now that security is no longer in the fish bowl that is level 5.
DIA added a new security section called DEN Reserve Where its limited but TSA goes fast and you can Reserve a spot and avoid the big lines
Thanks for adding this! There have been a few recent changes with the security lines!
What about layovers in DIA?
Great advice! Thank you so much! 😊
Thank YOU so much for always supporting my channel, Debbie!
Congratulations on Denver Nuggets on their FIRST 🥇 Championship 🏆 Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Yes!! Thanks, Mark! We did it!
Is it posible to sleep from 10pm to 5am in this Airport to wait for a fly instaed of gettin a room?
You should be good! I’d recommend going to Terminal A and going to the second floor outside of the lounges. There are much more comfortable spots up there!
So so helpful
Thank you 🙏🏾
You’re so welcome! Thank you for watching!
TSA pre check is on north and south side.
You didn't mention the United Club lounges.
Bah! Thank you for the catch! I'll update this video soon with the Capital One lounge too.
I have 47 minutes between flights at Denver next week and I am scared
It’s gonna be tight, but if you’re in the same terminal, there’s hope!
Did you make it??? I’m in a similar situation 💀😂
Thankfully I have 2 hours 30 minutes
Edit : My flight got delayed and I barely made it.
I have 45 minute’s between flights at Denver. Did any of you make it 😰😱?
@katherineboutz3569 As long as your flight doesn't get delayed yes
I am flying from london to denver, how easy is it to navigate to border and customs patrol
It’s not as nice as some updated international areas of bigger U.S. airports, but I’ve personally never had issues with it, even with a toddler.
Are car rental companies located off site from the airport? Do you know if shuttles are available? Thanks!
Great question! Definitely should’ve included this in the video! 🤦♂️ they’re a quick/free shuttle ride away, and the rental cars are right next to the Pikes Peak lot.
@david, lots of this information is out of date due to construction, especially around security. You might consider making a new one.
You’re right! It was inevitable with how many changes have been happening. I’m waiting for the dust to settle a little more before making an update to this one 😀
Where’s the checked bag area?
First class TSA? North or South?
Hello everybody , i hav only 46 minutes coming from washington D.C to phoenix. Can somebody help me how i can make it? Frontier airlines. Thx.
No comments regarding transferring at DEN.
DIA Is Doha International Airport
The RTD A line isn’t light rail. It’s commuter rail.
Is this airport have tunnels n why this airpot tooks 2 billions dollars more then its eśtimate money
Probably the underground castle for the lizard people!
I like USO
the terminal is not the same as a concourse.. get there 2 hours early
I hate DIA. Always have to take the tram to the terminals.
I avoid DIA like the plague if at all possible. Did they ever finish the terminal construction (just got to that part of the video :D)? Over a year between flights and the Delta terminal looked like the same mess both times. Everything was so dirty, no power at the seats and massive clogs of people going to and from the trams. The general flow for the movement of people felt like an afterthought, especially going to and from the trams downstairs. Vehicle traffic outside going to and from the rental car bus areas seemed just as much of an afterthought.
OH - and skip the Denver ChopHouse. Terrible food, high prices and it's absolutely filthy.
It’s still going 😂 it’ll be a few years!
One bowl containing the terrible punishment will poured into the Denver airport the contents of the bowl will completely fill take over the entire complex turning this place into a mirror of what is waiting in the graves of the antagonizers for contents of the bowl will list ten thousand years filling up all those places that they prepared
One of the worst airports in America go to the one in Colorado springs
Sixth busiest airport in the world, not the third.
Totally right 😀 the video is over a year old, so things got shuffled!
Then in every other place these people have prepared to escape all over Earth I will send my Dog to pour out the bowl every time their rabbit holes are struck great shakings tremors and signs will take place
