that conversion is so nice! love the taillights! i probably will not be converting mine to the Asian body kit considering the price u quoted... but yes, this car is so so so fun to drive... some people trash on it bc sub 200hp and stuff, but its really fun... not about the power, just the cam profile and the responsiveness in the bends... gl on ur utube account!
Exactly yeah it’s mainly for having fun. Plus a great daily driver. You can always make it fast but I’m more focused on driving it

Yo bro! Stumbled upon your channel! I bought a new to me a white 2009 Civic LX. I'm somewhat picky and found it in fantastic condition. All the panels are surprisingly straight and the paint looks great despite the unforgiving Florida sun lol! Some would say it's a beater but to me, it more than that. I always wanted an SI but I've seen sellers asking way too much and looks beat on and possibly abused sadly. So, i was able to find a set of SI wheels. Needs to be refurbished but it's a fun project. I may not have a build like yours but it inspired me to make it my own. So, may i live vicariously through you and your videos lol? Oh, and instant sub without a doubt!!!

i have the same white 2010 fa5 with hfp lip kits. the fd2 look was the passion i aim for and though i made it a last mod. i got a supercharger pair it up with k24 , i was afraid what the aftermarket fd2 front end look and yours look awesome , i already got the front end just need to paint it which soon will come in the next few weeks. kudos the car looks awesome , i wish i got gray wheels instead i got the white one which was freshly painted and cant pass up on 900$ ship

Trying to hook up turn signals and it's not working properly. Oem has 3 wire and jdm has 2 wire. Any tips would help. No info on the net
I think I made a video on that for the turn signals. I’m pretty sure I left the link for the socket w the three wires. Not sure if the 2 will work for the usdm

Carlos Chang Needed more room for the little one. Also at the time I couldn’t find a clean 8thgen so I got a 9th. That wasn’t the plan but I rolled with it till I could find a clean 8th. Also I wanted to do the Type R conversion. Fd2r is pretty much my dream car 😅👍🏽

Carlos Chang Haha I’m telling you man it’s so worth it. The Jdm look is very underrated. Just make sure if you are getting an FA5 that it is in solid condition first. I got lucky cause mine was girl driven ha 👍🏽
Idk something about the fd2 type r front looks nice. One of my most favorite civic body. I hate the original us front end. It look bland and boring for a SI. I'm really wanting a 06-11 civic si and do this conversion. Wish we could of gotten a type r model in the US.

With an OEM Type R front end, would you have to replace the old fender liners off of the Si sedan as well? Would you need to order the Type R fender liners along with the Type R fenders?

Yeah there ar so many kits out there for our cars. To name a few you can go Js racing, mugen, spoon, mandm there’s too much to list. It is worth it to me for conversion. I plan on getting fd2 seats and possibly rear bumper too

HmXoBTsIsGxY Thank you man! Well I wasn’t sure if the usdm fender liners match up but if they do I plan on getting some and probably make a video on it. My cold air is pretty much on the ground ha which is not fun but it hardly ever rains here in the desert. 😅👍🏽

HmXoBTsIsGxY Yeah I actually might just for my cold air ha. No I didn’t have to buy clamps. Conversion came with hood, fenders front bumper front lip headlights and headlight brackets. I had to buy the side markers
For the rear trunk did you have to extend any wires to make everything work? Or everything was plug and play?
The only thing you have to extend would be the reverse lights only because it’s in the trunk and not on the outter lights. Pretty easy you just run the wires through behind the trunk lining and leave some give for opening and closing. You would also need the Jdm pigtails which you can buy off eBay for the low 👍🏽

@@kxnnyth so I saw a kid wire it so you strip the ends of the wire and stick it between the bulbs for the stock lights. That way they make contact then run them up to the Pigtails. Those you can just twist together with the other end and use shrink wrap. No cutting required
@@Vicwavy so do i just need the pig tails?? Or do i also have to buy some extended wiring to reach the oem reverse socket? I saw the guys video where he just took the wires and connected into the oem reverse socket and put the bulb on top of it. But what if the pigtail won't reach to the socket? Would i need to get extra wires and connect it to the pigtail so it would reach?
@@kxnnyth yeah I would buy wires. So you just need the pigtails extended wires the bulbs and shrink wrap. I might actually be doing a video on that but there is a video where this kid does it and I can link you to it if you want. It’s kinda hard to explain through here lol 👍🏽

Been having trouble deciding between a 8th gen civic si or a 7th gen accord v6 and this has almost confirmed my choice for the si. I drive an 8th civic dx right now and I would mod it but the tranny is getting bad and the paint job is dog shit and rust is now starting to come in.

tungky lagi In my opinion I like fd2 setup more than FA5. You can go on icb Motorsport or Art of attack or Nengun performance. I like the FA5 rear though. Up to what you want to go for man 👍🏽

yea so the wing I actually got from Canada and it was off a csx too. I have a friend who lives in Ontario who has an si that he converted to Fd2 aswell. Mugen emblems I got off of JHPUSA expensive tho and I’m sure the price went up
