#ketosis #ketogenicdiet #waterfasting
Adding MCT oil can speed it up. If you can manage a workout while fasting, this will speed it up too.
dry fasting is even quicker.
its just that you might feel pain in your stomach but its not for long.
Although I 'think' a ketogenic diet is more sustainable in maintaining
The quickest way there is to flush your digestive system (Epsom Salt) that way you deplete your system of glucose faster and then you can start water fasting.
wow.
didn't think of that one.
You drink the salt? 😱 you wanna die of blood pressure
@@dayner989 You must not be familiar with Epsom salt flushes. It can be used for occasional constipation. However, in the manner one is trying to speed up the achievement of Ketosis, a light flush of Epsom salt (dissolved in warm water) can be of some assistance.
Hence depleting the body of glucose and switching it to use Ketones. It's sort of like a cheat code. :)
Dry fasting gets you there even fasting
But I don’t recommend
Consult your doctors
Im 34 but look 18, ive been doing this without even knowing I was doing this fasting.
It just how i always was. I dont like to over eat or feel bloated
Fastest way is to fast for 24 hours
On my way to redemption 😅, my highest number was 225lb, and it was horrible. Feburary 25th i was 215.6, and today/ march 7th. I am offically 207.6
I am at a 228lb now looking to get to sub 200. Only a few days in and got screaming headaches and feel starving but this isn’t my first rodeo unfortunately .
@@Crsf84 Oh man, i feel ya. Constant aches, random poor or crazy decision making. Im currently sitting at 198.2 lb, slow progress but i can feel the difference. I no longer preform ketosis though, it did mentally change something.
I’m at 195lb i trying to get to 170 any advice guys??
@@armaans2496- how long do you plan to fast?
I just started a 21 day fast one day ago.
Start: 221.5
Current: 216.1
Goal: 200
I built up my pecs, biceps, legs, tri’s, lats, shoulders for 6 weeks, now I’m burning off the fat. Can hardly wait. 😆
I’m totally late on this but is it possible to kick start ketosis on a long distance run while also starting a water fast the day before the run? I’m starting my fast as of tonight so I had a massive fast food cheat meal but looking to get back on my carnivore diet asap and I rather reach ketosis as quickly as possible to experience less transitional side effects. Any input is appreciated whether you have experience or you’re an expert on the matter!
Exogenous ketones could help?
I also wonder if the hacks such as exercise during fasting, ACV, Berberine, cinnamon, turmeric and a few other herbs refered to in keto tip blogs are founded in research?
Have you any thoughts on metabolic flexibility being improved through cyclical keto?
A lot of stuff here for me to investigate, LV. If only I had more time, I could go at a faster pace.
Have you watched my video on metabolic flexibility? Keto would certainly make one more metabolically flexible toward fat use, but what use that offers is limited, and cycling it seems a moot point.
@@Physionic I have thank you
@@Physionic please don't take my questions are criticism though. I feel that with each talk you provide there are answers but they inspire more questions as I realise the more I understand, the less I know I am still to learn
I never take your questions as criticism. I love your curiosity, LV. I hope I can help over time.
Gallon of water per day and sleep for dinner
Fastest is keto diet meal with water fast
It’s great for health benefits, but kept breath and limited energy is crazy
I couldn’t lift my arms for long periods of times lol
After you become more adapted to running on fat (stay in ketosis for longer periods), energy comes back up and the breath doesn’t smell anymore.
I have way too much weight for my age
I got into ketosis in 2 days just eating sardines
No way, can I do this without sardines?
Nick, it's still wrong.
Just go do cardio and deplete liver glucogen. Done.
?
Whats still wrong? Can you be a little more specific? I'm honestly curious as to what you are referring.
@@jacklabonte6839 i should delete my comment because i respect nick. My choice of words was poor.
But here it goes.
If you do more than 90 minutes of moderate to high intensity cardio workout (running, bike, swim, etc) you deplete liver glicogen and get into post-exercise ketosis. A small increse of ketone bodies in the blood. All you have to do after that is not eat. Body will enter full ketosis really fast. Way faster than waterfasting. (It takes time to deplete those liver stores and depens on the individual).
This way is the fastest way.
@@synsynsy I take your point. It makes sense that exercise(cardio) would hasten the process of getting into a fasted state, although I would add that a good hard session of strength training would have a similar glycogen draining effect; although no everyone is into weights, and it likely has more broad appeal to just go for a walk/hike up a hill or mountain.
Really appreciate your clarification.
@@synsynsy Faster than Fast? that's pogger than pog.
