YES....this is one time I disagree wth Ms. Shereen. Fresh pumpkin puree is a pain in the ass to make and there are some great quality canned PP's on the market, including Libby's. I have never been able to tell the difference. Other quality baking ingredients like real vanilla and good butter make are a must, also.

Literally cutting the pie pumpkin in half put a little oil around the inside and throw in oven for 35-40 min and purée. I mean aside from waiting for the pumpkin to come out oven I mean the fresh Purée is incredibly. It be different it you had to throw all these ingredients together to get the purée. She even says on the video. It’s not that hard if you just basically just a tiny effort. Lol

Shereen, in multiple videos I’ve noticed you take scoop the flour into the measuring cup opposed to just using the measuring cup as a scoop. Why is this done? In another video you said it’s better or something… what’s the reason for this?

Okay her choice if she has the time, but for me the canned stuff tastes exactly the same. Same nutrients and everything. So I wouldn't be running around searching for pumpkin if your in a climate that doesn't sell all year.
Tinned pumpkin is pretty much the exact same as fresh to cook with.

Unsolicited internet advice: if you make your own puree, it cannot be canned safely at home. It has to be frozen, dehydrated or freeze dried.
