Sound is More powerful this year. Trumpets and Euphos something serious.. They built power this off season for sure.. Will have to wait to hear the rest of the SWAC.. They got younger this year. The Freshman class was almost bigger than the upper classman. All around, great performance I enjoyed. Tone, power, and warmth there for sure, however, color and touch is a little light, I think its becsuse they got younger this year.. But this will change once those lips adjust. Great Merge JSU!

Yo the freshman we’re clean on black and blues. The horns will grow throughout the season. More of them would have made that piece superb since they add another dimension to the prevailing melodic patterns.
Whatever comments people made about last year was heard by Dr. Little and the entire SBOS community because DANG! They really look sharp and sound much louder. Low and high brass are crisp. Drum line is much bigger too… 2023 IS UP!!!

One reason I feel this will be another 2014/2015 size band is because the drumline isn't THAT big, so they shouldn't have to cut that many people (if they're mainly cutting drumline). But, I admit I don't know anything about the process.

I've noticed that Jsu (and SU) never seems to struggle with numbers. They're always consistently over 200. That says a lot about their program(s).
They don’t use euphoniums, only reason you saw a few last year was because the school horns we’re getting repaired

15 snares, 10 basses, 12 cymbals, 11 tenors, and 6 quads is still pretty big. LOL
@@DrumLuv23 True, their merge drumlines have been like 50-60. The actual drumline for the season is like 30+.
