He was great. Great with Poco, great with the Eagles, great on his own with the Silverados (saw them in Sacramento CA back in the day). One of my favorite bass players (I play bass as well).

That is exactly what I felt. His eyes were haunted and afraid by the end of his stint with The Eagles. The early Eagles pictures show four happy guys; possibly friends. Later ones show two sets of dead eyes, one set of angry and one afraid (Randy's was the latter.) He was better off out and happy here (even if for a short time).
True you did not see Randy enjoy performing with The Eagles as you do in this video & 1 other I've seen with this group. Which I've really enjoyed immensely. ❤RIP RANDY ❤
He is here with a lovely, friendly band. These are kind people. He needed that after the horror that was the last days in The Eagles for him. He is confident and it is lovely to see.
He must have been desperately unhappy whilst playing with Eagles, his eyes were closed singing Take it to the Limit, which was always outstanding and show cased his voice, now he’s having fun smiling that beautiful smile and joking around. I get sad when I think of his latter years of life, still he gave us so much joy when he was well. An early sign of Michael Richards being a jerk. It's painful to see Randy so unhappy, until the music and the band pull him through. What a sweet man he was.
After a drunken Michael Richards screwed up the intro, at the beginning of the song Randy says 'You can call me Randy.' LOL love it Randy! Remember Michael Richards' anti-Semitic rant many years ago? Love Kramer, but I get a bad vibe from Richards.
Between "Fridays" and his iconic work with "Seinfeld" Michael Richards guested on "Cheers" as a jerk drinking buddy of "Sam Malone" who tried very hard to hold "Mayday" to a long ago bar wager.😉🍺📺B.W.
O.K. Leave Richards out of it. Seriously, he's been through enough. Here's the point: Randy Meisner was good here, better than Glenn fucking Frey anyway. If Randy had stuck to his guns, he could've made Frey look like the douche he apparently is. Between Irving, and Glenn, and quite possibly Don, Randy didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of having a successful solo career. And that bullshit of Walsh saying he wasn't alpha is garbage.
Joe Walsh is out for Joe Walsh. He & Don Felder left Randy high & dry when he wanted to confront G&D about more equality in the band. Then Felder got it in spades when he did the same thing & got fired. Walsh has always just been on a paycheck & he likes it that way. Randy has said in many interviews that he had gone past all that. He was a millionaire when he left the band and still is. Unfortunately many years of self medication harmed his health and we haven't heard a word from his conservators in 2 years. Randy might want his privacy & wants to keep a low profile. I just hope he's ok.

Good old 80's music when people could actually sing and play their own instruments! And also back then the songs told a story and made sense.

Randy Meisner had a instrument and that was his voice . The reason why the Eagles were famous back in the day was because of Randy.
It took all of them to make that unique sound they had, but Randy's high harmony voice was a major part of the formula that brought it together.
