Been twice both times during October and the weather was great. However, the 2nd time was a lot more people visiting than our first time.

We were obviously in Florence, but we use stock drone footage. - You can get a serious fine for flying drones in Italian cities. be careful!

IMO Florence is much better place to visit than Rome.
