Low Mackenzie River water levels strand some communities

  • Water levels in Great Slave Lake are now the lowest ever recorded thanks to two years of drought, which is also drying up parts of the Mackenzie River - a major transportation route for a wide swath of the Northwest Territories - and leaving some communities unable to ship in goods and supplies.
