I got this exact message from someone who was posing as one of my friends from high school who is a Facebook friend. I got this bad feeling about the message because I knew that my actual friend would never talk about government funds. I never replied back and blocked the scammer immediately. These scammers are DISGRACEFUL!!!
I just now received a message from a family member I haven't talked to in a while. We exchanged a couple of messages a few times. Just catching up. Then it started getting weird. They asked me if I heard about CSBG? I said I had heard of it but nothing specifically. Then they sent what seemed like a page and a half of text saying what it was and that they applied for a grant and received one for 150,000 dollars and that I could too!!!!! Immediately blocked.
Facebook and instagram should be able too stop this madness if you can’t be honest don’t be online people who do this are sick human being with no shame or respect for anyone else if I had a business I would not scam people when you do fraud you hurt people
This happened to me just now. I posted something on Reddit and immediately afterwards I was messaged by this random account saying that they got over $8,000 from this free grant program. I asked them specific questions about criteria and the application process but they quickly glossed over it and sent me a link to a Facebook account promoting the grant program.
After I messaged them about the specific questions I mentioned earlier, again they glossed over it and gave me a “form” to fill out as well as a list of things that the grant would cover. Now, the SBA Grant program is legitimate; It is a government website that helps fund relief for small businesses affected by Covid. But, this Facebook person was not a part of it at all.
They messaged me to tell me that I was eligible for the “National Community” grant (not the same as SBA) and will be given $15,000. I was selected at random even though I haven’t been active on Facebook for months.
I asked them when I should expect to receive the money and they didn’t give me a clear answer. Instead, they made me provide my address so the cash can be delivered to me (btw cash can never be delivered through any service). They gave me a list of random numbers and said not to disclose any of the information to anyone because of past “mix-ups” or whatever.
The most questionable part was when they said that the money would be delivered in 12 hours if I payed $1,000 to verify my information. They demanded the payment immediately and since I was already in too deep (i.e. gave them my personal information), I went with it.
They also pressured me into using Bitcoin to pay them which was a major red flag. They were very impatient and pushy about the whole thing. Meanwhile, the other person who messaged me initially was in my ear telling me how everything will go smoothly and I’ll get the money successfully.
This did just happen to me on election day 22. I fell for it. They've taken over my Facebook and messenger accounts and even have made new accounts in my name, with my info and pictures. They've locked me out of my own accounts. I don't know how to get my accounts back. I've received many calls from my friends asking if I tried to contact them using the messenger app. I told them absolutely not and please report it to Facebook, which They've done. I'm locked out of my accounts and can't report it. What can I do to get my Facebook and messenger accounts back, please. This happened on Election day.
Please help us guys because they can invite me this kind of program I'm over thinking about that.. And also once you approved this kind of program they will receive a $20,000 and they can delivered on your doorstep for their delivery mail as he said but before he send your package they can pay the delivery fee worth of $300 to process your grant package
I have been approached by someone on Facebook saying that I have qualified for a grant but the amount that is offered depends on how much I can afford to put upfront for processing fees is this a scam
My mom is just about to fall for this scam today. She needs to send her bank card pictures and buy 300 dollars of gift cards for amazon and apple. It came from her childhood friend saying shes gunna get pald 50k for raising klds. And shes going to get 100k for the kids she raised...
According to my auntie she is American citizen there.. They are proved that they are received a dhhs program for the government in US, and they have an evidence to receive that kind of program.. Its it legit or not?
It’s really so saddening how and what this DHHS an organization that was made for a unique human purpose has turned into and it’s so kind of barbaric cos everyone doesn’t believe in this anymore
i just got this one in messenger. I got a FB friend request from someone who stole my brother's FB photo and sent out friend request out to people on his FB page. I knew right away it was not him when he first tried to get me to fall for this scam. but i played along fora while, asking "How's mom?"
They steal your friends account the tell you you have a grant ready for you. I also go along with it with fake name and address. At the end they ask for you to buy 2500 worth of target cards or try to get you to use bitcoin. Then I tell the after I pretend to go to the store that I gave the cards to the wrong Grant agent. This makes them angry.

You have to apply to receive federal grants they will never call you on social media
Nothing is free unless the actual federal government sais there sending it in the mail.
Even then you will have to claim it on your taxes and give every penny of it back.
A scam only ends up in being scammed! That's it! Facebook is full of it.
