Seems like a weird rule to release someone who has no travel documents and can't prove they legally entered the UK.
If he entered illegally, he'll know he's likely to be deported. Its no surprise he absconded.

Lots of schools and 'colleges' in East London have Bangladeshis on student visas. They turn up for registration and then go off to work.
