Why is it so expensive?
I really enjoyed these 40 problems and the tips you give, but I can't afford to pay 100 USD for the rest. Too bad.
@The Organic Chemistry Tutor, could you create a course on GMAT, especially, the quantitative section? Going over Data Sufficiency and problem-solving questions starting from the basics? I bet a lot of people will pay for that including myself. Especially for those who need to take the GMAT for their MBAs. Please let me know if you will, so I can be on the lookout.

GREAT VIDEO. I took the GRE, did okay but not too well and will be retaking it again. These are EXACTLY the type of problems that are on the exam. Must know formulas: area, perimeters, circumference etc of all common shapes! If you don't, you are well off missing an easy question...I been watching your videos long time too, don't know why I am not subbed. Thank you
Tigran Martirosyan hi I am studying for the test now. Can you help me with your experience?
Thanks for the heads up ! I am planning on taking the GRE later this year.

I'm going to PA school, so for my major, I only had to take about three math classes. I haven't seen half of this stuff since high school. Thank you SO much for going over all of this in your video. I take the GRE on Wednesday. Wish me luck, everybody!
how did it go bro...hope you did well..im taking the gre in august, freaking out already
How did you do?? I'm gonna take it in a couple weeks. Did these help you?
how did you do? im taking it for PA school as well

Dude, you've helped me traverse some tricky stuff through multiple semesters -- thank you. Now you're helping me do well on the GRE to get into grad school. I will definitely donate soon. :-)
Bless you for this! I've been struggling my way through workbooks and this is an excellent review. Thanks for taking it step by step for those of us who are not so mathematically inclined!
how did you do?
GOD BLESSSSSSS YOOOOU OOOOOMMMMMGGGGG. And I love how you assume I'm so damn stupid when it comes to math, cause I really am. And this REALLY helps.
I love this comment!! (I completely feel you!)
I have limited time to study and your videos are such a blessing right now. My background is health science and I forgot almost everything about maths from high school. Thank you so much. I really need a good score in the gre to apply to graduate school.
Ruy Perez hey Ruy. How did it go for you?
Your videos have helped me get through community college, then my Bachelor’s, and now helping me get into grad school!! Thank you so much!
This inspired me to create a set of GRE Math videos/playlist, after I got a 340 recently in the GRE. Thank you!

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you going through these problems so thoroughly. You even took the time to explain long division to people who, supposedly, are going to take the GRE. My math stupid self is so grateful you have no idea
I want to give GRE. Can you please tell me the process
I’ve come to this channel for help since high school- I’m currently perusing a masters. THANK YOU OCT
Thank you so much! I haven't taken a math class since freshman year so you're saving me a lot of stress.
Here the night before the exam...thank you for this! The effort you put in is undeniable. It was extremely helpful. Love the content, subscribed!
How was it? Similar or harder?
I haven't taken the exam yet, but I know from the sample questions I took that the questions in this vid are too simple and straightforward to be in the GRE. This, however, is a great initial confidence and overview boost.
Got my GRE in few weeks! Hopeful PA student here. Good luck to all!
Daniel L how's it?
how was it??
chi chip math portion is very hard and stressing! Vocab isn't too bad as you can use process of elimination. The easiest was the essay..but be prepared to write on absolutely any topic.
@@schmo2109 math portion was brutal...ugh. but vocab and essay writing wasn't too bad. Overall super stressing, but math was the hardest imo. Especially because if you spend too much time one trying to solve 1 problem, that'll get ya far behind on time.
What did you use to study and how long did you study?
This guy is from heaven. I survived from my gen physics by his videos, and now GRE.
Taking my GRE in about 30 minutes, i feel far less shaky after this!

How'd it go?

This is by far the best math review video ive come across. I just got bachelors and gonna try for masters but for that I have to give GRE. The last time I did proper maths was in 3rd semester of my bachelors and that also was calculous3, all this stuff I haven't even seen after school. Thanks for making this video man.
Spent time on Magoosh, ETS, etc... This has been by far the most helpful study tool. I haven't studied as much as I need to and my test is next weekend. This is the only crash course I'm going to watch over and over. Thank you for this.

literally saved my life. thank you for sharing this video.
Excellent video that emphasizes a breadth of different quantitative subjects. The variety is great for learning. I especially appreciate the geometrical examples. I feel I have a strong foundation besides the geometry and graph involvement (complex functions and such), as it has been over a decade since I could recall using those formulas.

I take the GRE Friday! Wish me luck! Any last minute tips are much appreciated!
Are these questions just like the ones in the exam ?
Was the problems harder on the exam?
Great videos, because of you I was able to Clep out of Calc 1, and get an A in Calc 2 without going to class and spending little time on homework. Thanks for your sharp cogent explanations and relative problems.
Just booked marked this video. You are a rockstar and a hero of the people.
On problems like #5, I plug in each answer choice to see what results in 15- which I think is much easier and quicker...
Great video! Quick Q: for #39. The question did asked how many cans she needed to paint the house, not how many *more* cans. Your final answer was 10.5, but I think it should have been 13.5 because you have to add the first can.
I was thinking that in the first place, but the answer is actually 10.5
The answer would be 13.5 if the question was, "how many cans are required to finish THE ENTIRE house?"
Since the question asked, "how many cans of paint are required to finish THE REST of the house?" , we need to subtract what we already have.
I hope it helps.
Good job! I really appreciate the geometrical examples you've given. It will be great for students who are still struggling to score good marks. I remember no such help was available at our time but still, I got my dream score in all modules, thanks to PassPyschometric academy who polished my hidden skills to score my dream score in the GRE Exam. This material is also good and students who are struggling should join academies like PassPyschometric or other. Thanks!
Literally you save my life every day
Great video, thank you very much!! It would be also nice if some other subscribers that have already taken the test told us how good did these guide helped you!
I always appreciate you.. easy explanations helped me pass my calculus exam. never took GRE yet, but I was able to solve each problem. in my mind with guess and check. I still got it.
Hello. I am confused about #10. I did it and got the answer to be D, can't be determined. I plugged in X to be "2" and did it again as "-2" and both results were different- A was bigger when X was - and A was smaller when X was positive. Thanks, trying to see where I went wrong.
In question 32, I believe the answer is the contrary of what you said. If you take the first number you tried for the fraction, you get 1/x^2= 1/100 and 1/x=1/10. In this way, 1/100 is actually smaller than 1/10
X is between 0 and 1, so if x = 0.1, x^2 = 0.01 and 1/x^2 = 1/0.01 = 100. Therefore, 1/x^2 is greater than 1/x as long as 0
Anyone find the wording of question 15 really confusing? Those damn GRE writers. Thank you for this SUPER helpful video. You are a gift! Thank you for your time and effort.
Great Video. Well simplified. I love it. Learned few techniques and I will be facing the GRE soon in December so help me God
Morris Obiri how did it go
How did it go?
I believe #32 1:20:43 is incorrect. Even tho x is larger for Column A the 1 in the numerator actually makes Column B greater. For example, 1/100 is SMALLER than 1/10 so the answer is B not A
These questions are great as a brief beginning refresher on some extremely basic math, the GRE is much more difficult than this.
That's why it says 'Review.'
How did you study?
If possible, it would be amazing if you had individual lessons on specific topics on the GRE - including more challenges problems and explanations. Love the format of your videos for Calculus, and I bet I could do much better on the GRE with help like that :)
Important tips -
41:25
43:00
Consider doing number 12 as a system with the two equations being B+G=400 and 1/2B=1/3G and then substitute B=400-G from the first equation into the second.
Great video, as always with OCT. Faster and easier way to #12: 2boys : 3girls is same as 2 boys out of 5 students. Just multiply 2/5x400, which is 160.
This stuff was amazing man thank you very much. I clicked on the link you provided for the full video. I was wondering is that video still relevant for the GRE now in 2020?
Thank you so much!!! You were able to explain GRE math problems so well.
Studying right with u XD when is your test? mine is the 16th ^^"
Good practice and explanations, thank you!
so confused, but question ten. why is the x raised to 5/3? i feel like i missed something in math
please help
Who is here studying to take the GRE soon and what are some tips?
for anyone who has recently taken the GRE, is this still relevant?
about 80% is.
q10 the answer is d because in x= 1/2 x^2= 1/4 and 7x+4 = 15/2 in this case column b is greater and since there is a case where a is greater than b and there is a case where b is greater than a, the correct answers is d because it can not be explicitly determined because of contradiction.
IDK who you are but, I am thankful for you.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I work and have been struggling to find time to complete the course before my gre. Ive been doing magoosh videos and manhattan but had topics left still. Wasnt sure if I should do new topics with only a few days left or review all I knew and then go on. I've delayed it twice already. On a whim, searched for crash prep math videos gre on youtube and came across this. I just wanted a video or so that would help go over the topics with a few questions each. Bless you!
Thankful for you! Am more confident on geometry now .

Q: 35. 10 < x < 16 means x is not equals to 10 and 16. 8< y < 12 means y is not equals to 8 and 12.
Take example 6 which runs at minute 15:00. That takes you 3 and a half minutes. If I practice a lot, maybe I can do problems like these in 2.5 minutes. How can it be that they only give you a minute and a half, per problem? Wait others like probability I got them without writing anything and in 10 to 15 seconds. That helps. Same rates of growth.
Being a grade 10 student I was able to solve this to a good extent
i dont understand why you sometimes add random equations on the top right before doing the exercise and you never explain how you got them. it makes no sense. how do i come up with them for them to help me solve the equations during the exam?
This is so straight forward questions CAT is so tough
my brother did manage to solve all these questions , and he is a bit in doubt , without being all cocky and such , he is wondering = is the GRE going to be THAT MUCH easy ? , again = i salute the effort and great vidya .
you got the column A X^2 and column B 7X +4 question wrong. It should be cannot determine. For example you plug in a negative value for X right, quantity B is greater. Plug in 1 for X, 1X1 = 1 for column A and 7(1)+4 = 11, column B is greater.
facts
For #10 did you make up any equation to solve for x^2 initially, or how did you come up with x^5/3=32?
Exactly. That's what I want to know. Like, where did 5/3 come from. And if he did make it up, why use a fraction rather than a whole number
It was given in the question, he didn't make it up
@@lennonation Where was it given in the question?
What if we take a negative number it’s not mention anywhere a positive number or positive integer
Thank you very much, u make things simple and very easy to understand
#7. How do you compare area to perimeter? The units are not the same. The answer should be D? "The relationship cannot be determined"
Thank you SO much for this. Very helpful!!
How can you compare area and perimeter in question 7? Area is two dimensional measurement and perimeter is linear measurement. So shouldn't the answer actually be D?
You have to ignore the units, when they ask questions like that they mean which number value is larger
its because it asks which quantity is larger. Units are a quality
This was so helpful! Thank you!
This is so helpful. Thank you so much for your help. God bless 😀😀😀
At 1:20:45, wouldn't the answer be B, since fractions with a higher denominator are lower in value than fractions with a lower number in the denominator?
Your techniques are awesome!!!
Men we are solving these kind of questions in secondary & highschool in Turkey.
31:18 seems there is an little mistake ! Since that value of x is not precise, X might be an negative number, therefore the right ans should be D. As per the question. However it is cristal clear your explanation
question #10 should be D. If .5 is plugged into the values B becomes greater than A which means D would be the correct answer. Unless the problem explicitly states an integer has to be used you can use any amount.
I realize now you wanted us to use 8 as x
"And that's how math works" IM LAUGHING SO HARD!!! This is such an amazing video thank you so much! You're saving me
I got all the questions correct!
Awesome video! How similar are these problems/level of difficulty to the actual GRE?
WHAT A LIFE SAVER thank you!!! totally forgot math lol!
Awesome tutorial, clean way of explaining. I have a doubt in 28th question, isn't this is a wrong way of doing it, here percentage of each year's end sale must be calculated separately?
