I feel like I should finally comment on this video. I have used this video about 12 times now to make salmon over the past few years and it is THE BEST salmon recipe. Delicious and so simple.
That is awesome!
Me too. first time I found this video 3 years ago; created the best sockeye salmon. Whenever I forget the recipe I am always thankful IT'S STILL HERE! YAY!
Yay I'm glad I found this recipe Im making this tonight for my family along with some sweet potatoes and some veggies.😊
AWESOME!! Always ENJOY :)
Wow perfect way to make Wild Salmon! Thank you for the culinary tip of cooking at 450 for just 10 min if the cut is 1inch thick. So many recipes say 10-15 minutes. At 15 it is sooo dry.
Ooooooo MG😲
That was the first time I ever cooked a giant piece of Salmon. It was 1.5 Lbs. I put olive oil on both sides, a litter pink Hymalain Salt, then layed them on top of a branch of Rosemary thay Mami has been growing in the living room, on a foiled sheet with some more olive oil. 10 minutes of 450 degrees and POW 💣 🔥 I also made green peas and red potatoes.
I was going to saute red peppers and onions, but I forgot. Now I'm going to watch a movie and black out😴😴😴
Thank you so much for the tips honey 🍯
Thank you so much quick simple easy and to the point no extra talking love it

INDEED...Ur!! You may wrap your baked SOCKEYE SALMON, in the foil it was baked in, for storage in the refrigerator!! Stays good up to 2 days refrigerated!! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
Thank you for these tips. We remove the scales from the skin and eat it. It has lots of vitamins. Yummy!Sockeye salmon's texture is different from atlantic salmon so the part about the temp and cooking time helps alot. Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing!!
yummy....gonna bake some for work now
Have fun!
I must remember this one. Looks good, although I think I will add a bit of butter.
ENJOY your way, always :)

Very nice!! ENJOY your Sockeye Salmon with your Mom, my friend!! -Deronda :)
Thank You - looks amazing
Enjoy!
Perfect! Luv it.
any idea what's that white stuff that pop out after it's done? I only see that in sockeye for some reason....
It's called albumin protein and it's flavorless and safe to eat.
You’re the first cooking person say they are adding “Himalayan Salt” the the Healthiest salt as well as Celtic or Sea Salt, the regular cheap salt will raise your blood pressure cause they are bleach to make the salt white.
Thank you for your best choice of Healthy salt.
You're right about that salt. I only use Sea Salt...
It worked yee. Thank you.
New sub! Loved this recipe! Came out perfect ❤
Nice vid, baked mine on 425° last night for 12 mins and overcooked it 😫😫😫
Healthy and yummy!!
☺ 💕 👍 XOXOX
INDEED...Stella!! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
I've already messed up. I cooked mine at 350 degrees. So I'll keep it in the oven longer
Hi, Deronda. Your salmon looks beautiful like you. Maybe sometime, you should make No Bake Triple Chocolate Cheesecake. What do you love about salmon? Have a good day, Deronda. 🌹💗💗💗 BTW, you should definitely subscribe to Country Hill Cottage, their recipes are truly inspiring.
next year in 2018 I'll let my cousin take me to store I'm gonna buy my own sockey salmon for my own house for i'm gonna bake it too.
Well it's 2019, did you ever buy your own sockeye salmon for your own house, bake it in your own oven, and eat it with your own mouth?
@@dude4173 it’s now 2021. maybe she went to fish 🎣 it for herself.

Love is an action. Feed the hungry, house the homeless, father the orphan, and protect the defenseless and vulnerable.
Read the Word for yourself, not only relying on others for guidance. Pray for guidance.Yahushua/Yeshua - His Hebrew name who is usually called (Jesus) taught to keep the whole Word. Including the Law/Torah. Matthew 5:17 “Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not [g]the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished! 19 Therefore, whoever nullifies one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [h]others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [i]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Read 1 John. John tells us that sin is lawlessness, and that we must keep the commandments. Trust in the atonement of Yahushua/Yeshua who is usually called Jesus, and keep God (YHWH)'s whole Word/commandments. Revelation 12:17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Yeah we'll have to modify our cooking of this fish. First time we cooked it was way too dried out.
What if its frozen?
Thaw in the fridge. Rinse and pat dry
I don’t oil my pan because I want the skin to actually stick to it.
I only ate can salmon tried this never eating can salmon again 😋
ENJOY!!
450F 10mins per inch thickness
That`s what i`m gonna have tonight with some string beans and something else,,,Not sure yet
The traditional way to cook it is on a fire adds way more flavor and way better. That's the traditional way in quinalt
I never knew that. Thank you for sharing that.
It’s good to eat the skin to, because it’s full of collagen.
James Beard recommends setting the oven at 425 degrees, not 450. 10 minutes per inch (The Canadian Method)
I was mistaken. James Beard also bakes fish at 450 degrees, 10 mimutes per inch of thickness. Sorry.
Himalayas sea salt? Lmaooo
cooking in tin foil, well i guess we all get cancer somewhere...
I was thinking the same thing. I don't use aluminum foil due to dangers. Wondering if you could get the same results from using parchment paper?
@@SpaceTimeMimicgood point. However, I wouldn’t wrap and store in aluminum foil. 450temp is too high to cook with aluminum foil. I wrap a beef brisket in foil for slow low 250 degrees.
Ah just salt and pepper I see…
Why would any cook use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for baking? Duh
Omegas aren't a flavor!
