Getting "rich" at the start of the season is kind of a main activity: people try to find most sought after items as fast as possible and sell them as high as they can. Starting as a barbarian gives you enourmous advantage - all the high value items are for Sorcs and Paladins, so you can sell them very easily without hurting your own progress of gearing up. Main disadvantage is well...you are a Barbarian! It is arguably harder to get going with him.
I thought adding trade value will be helpful to some of you, although they were done in different time periods and can vary by now. Traded mostly in Chaos Sanctuary discord.

Last weekend on SP -- after a dry spell of around 800 Trav runs with my Horker -- I found a Jah rune on one of my last runs of the day. The next day, I found another Jah rune within the first 40 runs. On the same weekend, I also found a 30 Mara's. Pretty good weekend... Dream's coming true :D
that's why when i finished 1000 runs i did 5 more lol found 1 def auras skiller and a gul rune haha
@@KvotheD Sure, but keep in mind that RNG depends on more than your "number of runs" or any single factor like that. It might depend on the date, time of day, state of your inventory, movement of your char and mobs, and / or many other factors.
Like, I got my second Jah within 40 runs after the first Jah. But if I had done these 40 runs on the same day instead of the next, the RNG would probably not have given me the second Jah. Get what I mean? The factors determining the random numbers would have been different.
Single Player mode is cursed for me. Running for weeks with my Bowazon finding multiple Shakos, SoJ, Life Skillers and many more but didn´t get a single rune higher than Mal... Last time on Bnet I kind of found a HR on every hell playthrough with a new class lol.
@@veritate8955 It can be really hard to power through long dry spells in Trav! From what I've seen in other people's reports, Trav gives a very good average regarding HRs, but it's not rare to drop none for 2000+ runs, then a few within 300 runs. HRs definitely drop more consistently from LK... but OTOH you need 4 Surs to cube a single Jah :-/

Bro I just had 3 hours to farm after work today and I found a cham and a vex and an ohm in trav just by hitting them up at the beginning of each main run. Glad you had luck too!

What difficulty were you on and do you feel the Zerk Barb is superior to the Singer for this? I have recently been doing Trav runs with my lv 79 Singer and temporarily switched to fighting Eldritch in act 5 when the Frigid Highlands became terrorised. I finally got a Shako for the first time and I've been playing off and on since D2 originally came out. Lmao. Keep up the good work. You truly inspire me.

Singer is tough for travincal super early on I think, you will run out of mana, not enough damage, your merc is not strong enough etc
I started as a singer and stayed a lot at eldritch and pindle(although this guy spawned phys immune quite often) and farmed some basic gear.
I feel zerker might be a bit easier as you can do it yourself with basic gear, but it's tough too.
Also with level 79 you will miss a lot as a zerker, so better level up first as warcry and around 85 or higher switch
@@KvotheD thank you so much for the information for a berserker barbarian what would you then suggest for a weapon going with like a sword and shield or a mace or something because I still have two respects. I only used one to go from dual swing to war cry early on. I just realized by doing terror zones I just got to level 81 when I saw your messages
@@KvotheD and this probably sounds a bit goofy but I'm still doing nightmare difficulty terror zones I'm not super worried about rushing through the game or anything I'm just really having fun with it right now I do wish there was more ways to build up the damage and everything on war cry but I've got all of the synergies maxed out but I will take any advice on building a character that can do some really good farming
@thedwarf4121 generally warcry barb is good with dual spirit swords, +3 amulet, +mana rings, caster belt, gloves with fcr etc you could quickly get to ~lvl 30 war cry which is enough for eldritch/ pindle/ the Pit, perhaps Countess too barb in general cannot farm a lot of places really, and warcry is the safest due to stun

You earned MUCH more in that trading for Ber than all the farming you did. Ber is worth roughly 6 Ohm's, but you only spent 2.6 Ohm's.
16 ists, ohm is 5.5-6 ists. Everything else is random inflated prices

Im newbie and this video really inspired me to make this build. I have 2 questions.
Where can I find a detailed guide for this build, e.g. how to level up and how to make transitions to the main build?
Fortunately, by some miracle I found the Vex rune in the tower and I have a question if I would sell it on the forum for fg... would it be enough for me to wear more or less such a barb?
I farmed Trav for 5 hours straight the other night and found a Jah and an Ist and also a Mal.
You had way better luck on the trav runs than I have had in over 20 years of playing. I did about 800 trav runs with my barb and only got 1 high rune (ohm), no skiller GC, no uniques or rares worth keeping.
I agree, i think it was pretty lucky tbh. I'm currently running trav for 1.2k runs with no highrune on players 3

You did a good job i see. i did one of run and 100 terror zones. Other than that just rushing people or testing new chars through normal
Great drops man. I was lucky on Thursday found my first griffon. Rolled 13/17. Happy with that and a few runs later a Ber Dropped. Not regretting making a MF barb.

Did i say 40? might have been a mistake, meant 30. Lacerator...yeah you can use it on frenzy, but never seen used elsewhere. Thx man!

What weapon were you using when you started farming early on?

damn son, why your all so lucky-.- did 1k+ trav runs now with my barb just found 1 single Lo rune 1 ist 2xmal 1 um 2xlem, in way more than 1k runs, yep i counted them all :D sometimes if i had a trade i began from start meaning if i was at run 335 i started at 300 again xD

I made a zerker to try this and i'm having a hard time staying alive. I've got the grief, two dwarf stars. Any suggestions?
Try The Rising Sun amulet and unequip Dwarf Stars (unless you want gold). The amulet will heal you when hydras attack.
Also, way more problems are caused by their physical hits, so get some damage reduction and bigger health pool. String of Ears or Verdungo are the easy ones. Can try Stormshield too. When you see Might or Fana auras - be very careful, can even use Howl, or for example, i did leap to knock them back and then attack, leap again to recover health etc.
Since Zerk doesn't leech life it can be quite hard

Armors I used: Myth rw, Lionheart rw, Wealth rw.
Shields: Rhyme rw (cbf), Gull dagger (with Death Sash for cbf, later with Trang Belt)

Dang, I have a lvl 75 zerk barb. Ans he can’t even do trav yet.. and I have ALL the goodies
75 is a bit lowish, your attack rating won't help hitting them + missing HP and some skill points. Leveling up with zerk is hard, so either join a group to 85, or spec into war cry if solo and farm eldritch/pindle for levels

How to make mf runner transparent?
hey, in OBS I added a Color Key filter to the Run Counter source, set it to Custom Color, chose Black and then played with the settings so it doesn't remove too much. Gl!

You had pretty bad luck to be honest, Travincal usually pays off even better than this, typically in the form of high value charms, jewels, and runes.
Well, Mara was good for sure, but i agree, these are worse results than i had last season with FoH pally for the same runs, minus item find
