@RoversAdventure It was such a beautiful day sailing. It had a very peaceful dream like vibe. Mostly you just let us ride along. Like I said perfect sailing video.
Masterpiece. Gold Standard of YT sailing videos -- information, sounds, sights, inner monologue, and that junk rigged sail that goes up and comes down and reefs so easy.
Just another beautiful sailing trip with nice weather. I love to watch your videos. I couldn't help thinking which other "movie" or video would I watch again and again, but this kind of video, being much of the same, never gets too much. I love it.
27 years ago I sailed out of Kinsale, between gales, in an Oyster 26, heading for the Solent. 30 hours out we lost the mast! One of my more exciting passages! God bless the coast guard - the calmly reassuring voice at the other end of the vhf really helped while we limped our way into Falmouth 24 hours later.
Your videos are very relaxing. I would like to see a date stamp/temperature. Also a clip from the build . I would be most interested in your rudder. Enjoyed the welding story. Thanks GOD BLESS BLS
Beautiful coastline. I'm also 60 years old but I don't think I could handle being in that boat without a heater. I just installed a diesel heater in my 44 foot sailboat. It uses more diesel than I was expecting, but it sure makes the boat warm. Fair winds.
Sometimes the best thing you can get told about something you have built when your not too sure on what your doing is .....'thats good enough'......might not be the prettiest but will work as intended ... and that's all you really need
I saw you moored in Kinsale last August. Was hoping to say hello but the next morning you had departed. Maybe see you around the Irish Sea this season.
How could I hear the sound of an ouboard when I see an outboard on the rack to stbd? It looks smaller than the Wave Rover's powerplant on the transom. It looks smaller, so I suspect it's for the dinghy. I don't recall you having it... or maybe I haven't been paying sufficient attention.
Really Soothead! That's what you got from this latest entry? Perhaps you are just looking for a got you moment rather than enjoying to journey and the accomplishments that Alan's efforts showcase in each episode.
@@tomwaite4594 That's what you got out of soothead's comment? Lighten up Francis. I just thought he had either picked up another engine or I had just never seen it before and I think that's what he was saying.
Alan, I moved my fluffy chair up closer to the big screen - not much else visible to my one eye - I'm right there with ya! In watching your dinghy, does it change anything with regard to the performance of your MK3?
Of all the videos I have watched of yours this one is my favorite. Just perfect.
Thank you. What was it that stood out for you?

@RoversAdventure You're very welcome

Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it.
I really love that you include long sequences of just sailing. No intrusive narration and no muzak, just the wind and water. ❤
Thank you for saying so.
Thanks
Always interesting

That was really nice, thank you.
I enjoy your personnel anecdotes. Your an interesting person.
Thank you, I enjoy sharing my experiences.
that boat looks like it's well designed
Thanks Tony
Beautiful sailing. Interesting how Ireland can look both lush and rugged from the sea.
It's such a beautiful place.

Exciting stuff for sure. Rudder failures and rig failures are the 2 big ones to wreck your day
@RoversAdventure learned a lot about myself and my crewmates that night.
And the adventure continues. I am in love with your boat! And youre pretty good to!
Thanks! I'm really enjoying the voyage.
Smooth sailing to what appears to be an interesting port call.
Thank you. And Kinsale is very special.
Another enjoyable episode Alan. A nice 'downhill' run. Cheers, Nigel.
Wave Rover looks great. What a boat.
Thank you! She was fun to build.
Alan, your content and format of videos are continuously excellent! Well done with everything - regards, Janne/ Finland 👍👋
Awesome! Thank you!
*Good* story!
Thanks fer sharin' skipper.

I'll try to remember to add that information in future videos.

You can always add Jerry CAns : )
good luck with storm tonight
Thx
I used to use the lazyjacks to lift that bottom panel up until you need every panel in light air. Gives better view forward.
Just plain awesome 💫👍🐬
Glad you enjoyed the sail!

True
See you soon in kinsale for a Murphys my friend 😊
Can't wait!

Cool story about the metal boat and learning to weld. Hull thickness? Size of the boat? Welding rod used?
26ft LOA and it was about 1/8th + inch thick
Great update, Captain.
Thanks for watching!

It's in the details. Not just water.
@@tomwaite4594 I got what I got. You got what you got. It was a simple question on a detail I had not noticed
with all your travels that you've had now. anything you'd have done differently with it's design?
The design has served me well, I'm quite happy with her.
I wonder if that sail acts a good roll damper.
She rolls less than my Contessa
Do you have a second outboard?
The 2.3hp is on loan for the dinghy
Hello Alan,I m wondering, how can the boat often exeed the hull speed ? Safe voyage...Robert ,Québec...
Plan your passage to get a good boost from the current
Hull speed is no sharp limit, it's often possible to get about 25% above hull speed with only sail.
Did you ever consider the other outboard might be for the dingy?? Hello!
Yes the 2hp is for the dinghy
Alan, I moved my fluffy chair up closer to the big screen - not much else visible to my one eye - I'm right there with ya!
In watching your dinghy, does it change anything with regard to the performance of your MK3?
I had to compensate for the drag by a few degrees. Great to hear from you as always Rob
I thought you had a Tohatsu outboard. Did I miss something?
The 2hp is for the dinghy
@@RoversAdventure Did you bring it from North America?
@ It's on loan from a Rover hero while in Ireland
👍👍👍👍👏
Another good one. I noticed you have 2 engines? Why?
the 2 hp is for the dinghy
