The new living room set up is much more balanced and conversational, I think. More of my unasked for advice: I think the contrast between the fire surround and all the white furniture and light wood would be brought together with a different rug. Something in a really neutral melange or flecked weave in brown with some green and or grey tones to the colour, so that the overall effect is a natural brown darker than the blonde wood but not heavy and chocolatey, and providing textural contrast rather than a pattern necessarily. It would ground the sofas, lights, and tables in the space. Also my coffee roaster friend roasted me for having a clear glass container for my beans and keeping them out in the light, so if you want them to retain their flavour and freshness for longer, put your container somewhere cool and dark.
i've been thinking about that too!! I think it's a great idea a rug with some more dark details could really ground the space and tie together the dark ceiling beams and the fire place -- just gotta find the right one!
Your living room looks very nice this way. When the fireplace is burning it brings such a cozy look to your home. Since you said you and your girlfriend are cooking more, it would be great if your mother would let you share her noodle recipe with us. 😊
Idk if you have heard of it but a game called tiny glade came out just this week. It’s a cozy architecture/ castle builder where you can make cute digital dioramas. It’s available on steam and I’m really excited to play it. I think you would rlly like it, especially for those gloomy days you’ve been seeing recently : )
I'm new here and this may be a weird comment but I clicked your video because of that font?? Your whole aesthetic is just too good. Also, elden ring!! I would recommend the cyberpunk 2077 dlc if its your kind of thing, I loved it.
Have you considered painting the fireplace mantle a neutral color? Might make it fade in the background in case you dont want it to stick out. Alternatively, you could add a rug with some black tones, say a black checkered rug, to tie the black into the rest of the living room.
I played Elden Ring too much tbh. I don't know if you like Metrodvania games like Hollow Knight? Or try some rpgs like Golden Sun 1 and 2. Great story, top round based combat so it's hard but cozy too
Living room setup flows so much better! I guess you can also always have your back temporarily to the fireplace for watching TV with the Togo as well if you have friends round as that’s quite an easy adjustment. 2 things for the coffee station that you may want to consider: - Set of coffee scales (usually with a timer as well as for weighing) - Exposing coffee to too much light can affect the quality and flavour over time, so it may be worth either placing it in the cupboard or getting a version of the vacuum in full matt black. The process is called photo degradation if you wanna find out more! The new Fellow coffee brewer looks great! There’s one we have in Europe that’s called the Moccamaster which if you ever want something more retro looking could also be good too (and for larger batch brew coffees if you’re making it for 3+ people 😊)
looks really great! super cozy and the flow is good. just one thing- please dont let the armrest chair in the reading nook touch the walls, even if you need to move the adjacent shelving and sofa a tiny bit as well for that 😌 (💚 shiru, interior designer 😎)
New setup is much better! Starting to gravitate away from the TV aswell, and making the LR more of a LR instead of a watching room 😅 have you considered a move able TV stand such as Pedestal. Those would definitely work in your living room ❤
Can you do a plant tour? Some look like they’re not getting light. I don’t have much light in my home so interested in how yours are doing and what types you have.
I love love your new coffee set-up! I recommend with the bags of coffee beans you haven't opened yet to store them in the freezer - it'll help keep them fresher for longer 🙂
Where do you get your things like your shelves? I love the white and light wood conbo but I have trouble finding more than the same 3 style of shelving units...
if you haven't played Baldur's Gate 3, I highly recommend it. Even if you aren't into Dungeons and Dragons, the storyline and RPG elements are absolutely a 10/10.
The new living room setup is really nice, there is a nice flow and having that separated space behind the couch also introduce a “wall” between it and the possible motion to the window; maybe the lamps cords may be a little in the way but the cohesion given by the similar design of them is worth it. Great job!
The LR setup is sooooo much better!!!
for real is way better than before
so glad you like it!! I wasn't sure about it at first but we've been really loving it :)

@@imericwang Finding the right rug is one of life's adulting challenges. Sooooo tricky!
Best setup! I love that shelf behind the couch

bro omg I love your house. You NEED to make a video showing all of your furniture and where you got it from like couches, tables, shelfs, and chairs.
It looks so much better!! More organized, clean and like you!!
first one! yay!
woohoo!!

Love your living room set up and your coffee nook. Your noodle night looked delicious!
Great video. You might want to check out Borderless Beans for your specialty coffee beans. They’re delicious

Once again Eric's video made my day ☺️!But I wish it was a little bit longer, 8min. feels like seconds!!
The living room set up looks great ❤️
I love the LR setup, but I see how it can be difficult to arrange. And best of luck with the Elden Ring DLC! I just completed it yesterday.
Amazing video as always. Glad you're enjoying Elden Ring!
Your coffee cafe is sooo cool also the kitchenaid mixer is simply beautiful just subscribed thanks Eric your design inspiration is very unique ❤

A gloomy day is only a state of mind. I choose to call it a cozy day. ☔️ Enjoy your beautiful place.
You gotta play Hollow Knight if you've not already! Love the new living room setup and I'm jealous of your coffee bar!
love your content man, this really got me into home decor ❣
so happy to hear that :)
I think I can recommend you to play a game called "Squirel with a Gun" it's a really fun and very unique game tho!
i genuinely dont know how i missed this upload with notifications lol
Ooh please give us tips about demon pet cats who destroy everything in the home. What a to do… ugh
Please if anyone knows the name of the shelving unit that coffee station is on, I need the heck out of it.
I love love your new coffee set-up! I recommend with the bags of coffee beans you haven't opened yet to store them in the freezer - it'll help keep them fresher for longer 🙂
Finally evolved into the perfect living room setup. It takes time.
I really like the new arrangement.
Good job!
Is it just me or do the chairs look way too high for the circle dining table? Everyone's backs were so hunched during the noodle dinner lol
Hey! Love the video. Just wanna know where did you get the mirror. Thanks!
The new living room setup looks so much better, more of a “grown up” space, if you follow me?
Where did you move to from the city? Is this Sausalito? It’s so beautiful and serene.
Local project… always a good choice for an afternoon on the couch 🤓

Loved the video as always, can I ask what the carpet is called at 3:46 ?
You should play animal crossing!!😀

If you have a ps5, Astrobot!
Do you have a link to that coffee vacuum sealer?
I love your coffee shelf …. Where you got it from 😊
Nice rearrangement! What's the name of the shelving system at 3:49 behind the couch?
Is eric ever gonna answer 🫣
It’s an IKEA PS modular shelving system from 2014!
@@imericwang thanks a lot eric!
@@imericwang thanks Eric

yeahhh i wish i had a better solution for the lamp cables but thank you!!
Love this! 🌻
i need MORE!!!
We're not going to just glance of their new Kitchenaid Mixer in evergreen that everyone has been talking about.
HAHA i wasn't sure anyone would notice
you have the kitchenAid of my dreams - How does the wooden bowl hold up? Do you use it often?
it's amazing!! getting into baking so maybe ill include that in a future video -- the bowl is good it just needs to be carefully handwashed
I love it!!!!
Your new alocasia is extremely poisonous your cat btw.
Yes true! She doesn’t bother out plants at all so we are very lucky
What's the song you use in the background here? 6:06
Actually if you have a playlist of the songs you use for your vids that would be awesome, they're so relaxing!
Your living room setup is actually perfect now
New setup feels more natural now. Old ones felt a bit cramped
what camera do u use to record 😪
fujifilm XS-20!
Your cat is my spirit animal 😂💛
Much better!
