    So, can you leave a Lay Z Spa out in the winter? Conventional wisdom is to deflate and pack away when not in use. Our experiment of leaving it out and covering it worked well. With the freeze shield feature you could use it all winter, but electricity costs may become prohibitive.

    Hey! Thanks for another great video 👍🏻 We put a beach ball under our cover to help the rain water drain off. Also, the tub would have needed to be shocked in the same way as when the tub was new as it’s a new lot of water. Happy tubbing! 😊

      Glad you like them! For us it's pure pleasure so we couldn't justify the high electricity costs, but I totally get where you're coming from.
      I'm hoping to do more videos this season and, in particular, keeping the electricity costs down.

    I too had forgotten how to use the control panel along with the rest of the set up. It is so useful to be able to watch you going through it, thank you 😅.
    I also could not find info about whether to ‘shock’ the water after a refill. Your solution sounds very reasonable.

      Have fun! It's well worth getting a cover too. This will protect the PVC from the direct sunlight when not in use. I got 239x58 size and under 20 quid s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AC6GHJ

      @AbouttheHouse0 I need your help 🙈 you've been my guru on everything St moritz but I'm in bother. I inflated it after being in storage for 24 months and I can hear a leak from the C Pipe, not the pipe itself but when I wriggle the C pipe it gets worse. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED
      Thanks a million

    Hello.
    Me and my partner recently bought a st moritz second hand off eBay. Got it all up and running easy enough by watching your videos so thank you for uploading them I found them very helpful :-)
    After having the tub set up for a week or so we noticed that the tub was going down, obviously a slow puncture. I don’t know if it was already an issue when we bought it or whether it’s something we have done.
    We have bought a repair kit, but any advice you could share I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much :-)

    Another informative video..we've recently purchased the st moritz so we found your straight forward videos and comments invaluable...Thank you...in this video you mentioned you'd found some really good filters..Question..how do.you determine how good or bad a filter is as they all just sit in the water and collect bits and pieces...secondly when you have 5mins maybe you could post a link to the filters. Once again thanks for taking the time to make the videos and keep em coming 😃

      The ones I was referring to are out of stock atm. Give these a try, they use PP filter medium instead of paper which makes them slightly easier to clean and extend their life

    Very useful video once again. Could you consider doing a video on using the tablets with the ChemConnect? Its very difficult to find good info on this as most people seem to use the floating dispensers instead

    • @AbouttheHouse0
      @AbouttheHouse0  2 года назад +2

      I've just started using tabs in the chemconnect. Planning to do a video of tabs vs granules in a month or two once I've got the hang of it.

    Thanks for the video! Have you considered using an outdoor lpg water heater inside of using the egg to heat the water? There's lots of people doing this these days with energy prices going up.

    • @AbouttheHouse0
      @AbouttheHouse0  2 года назад +2

      I have, but the last time I compared the cost of electricity and bottled gas, the gas was several times more expensive. I'm happy to revisit that though. Got any links for these heaters?

    Its a good idea to keep it out inflated and empty of water when not in use, do you really need that extra cover? or will it be ok with just the lid on? the spa gets mold so easy its always a worry.

    • @AbouttheHouse0
      @AbouttheHouse0  Год назад +1

      The extra cover protects the tub from the sun, bird dirt etc etc.
      Allow to dry before closing up.

    Packed mine away after 4 months of winter use my electric bill just for the tub was over £400, will be far worse now with electric almost doubling.
    So I am sad to say I cannot justify £150 a month to run it.

    Your joking!!, with the electric price increase!!!.
