I'm so used to playing with real small nations, like Iceland and the Sultanate of Aussa, that I was shocked when someone called Austria, Hungary, etc. "Minor Powers"
They are minor nations in name only, because they can quickly obtain and core enough land to jump from minor to major within a few years and its why I cant understand people liking the new changes to the British AI, because whenever you bring up how it almost makes a lot of minors unplayable they just go "wdym I just conquered them with austria (hungary), im just better lol"
@@vault6242 Good. You shouldn't be conquering the british isles as a solo iceland with basically nothing. I'm so tired of that kind of ridiculous crap. I much prefer the game stick within the realm of believable physics and present alternate history timelines from a point of believable physics. It's physically impossible for iceland to conquer the british isles, and should be in game. Form a unified Scandinavia if you want to invade the british isles successfully.
@johnteixeira1791 lmao hoi4 is not a realistic simulator, its a ww2 game, if you want a game that all it does is make you micro manage everything for 8 hours play black ice instead of wanting everyone to go through it
mothership aircraft were actually tested in ww2 by the soviets at least, though they strapped fighters to strategic bombers for close air support instead of air superiority
Germans theorized planes like the Amerika Bombers with me163s strapped under the wings. Same with usa during the coldwar, alooking into b29s with f84s underneath.
Mothership aircraft is way too expensive resource-wise, but if you're playing as a nation with a lot of aluminium, for example hungary of yugoslavia, it's good
put guns on cas support is totally worthless wtf. That planes are gonna attacks the troops on the ground because the missions not the planes, thats totally useless
Yeah. If you're that worried about being intercepted then you should be building fighters to blow them up before worrying about CAS. If you don't have air superiority you aren't going to be doing CAS damage enough to matter anyway. My cas is always armour plate, dive brake, fuel tanks, early designs get bomb locks, later designs use Heavy Bombs, AT Cannon 2 and Rocket Rails. In single player it doesn't really matter what you do unless it's incredibly dumb. I also avoid putting guns on CAS for the reason that it stops you being able to deploy a bunch of fighters + CAS and then clicking air superiority and ground support, because if your CAS has guns on it, they'll do air superiority missions instead of CAS.
could you do a new byzintium guid ? would ve realy thankfull for that I am always strugling with greece keep up with the good work 👍 you helped me a lot with the game
motherships were a thing, even in ww2. The russian used them on a raid in Romania against the King Carol 1st bridge with the Zveno-SPB bomber. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zveno_project
Huzzah! It happened. Great vid!
I'm so used to playing with real small nations, like Iceland and the Sultanate of Aussa, that I was shocked when someone called Austria, Hungary, etc. "Minor Powers"
I most of the times play with Brazil, who is huge, but is a minor power in early game because of its small army and industry

you couldn't sell the equipment early because of the treaty of trianon , only to germany because of the german influence over your economy modifier

Hungary can trade using market only with Germany due to Trianon treaty

It helps if they get intercepted by enemy fighters but yea you want to get air superiority and not intercepted in the first place

Did the Poles give up Danzig in this run? It looks like they did.
Yup. It's not weird Dave. It looks like the Poles gave up Danzig and lasted past September of 1939. Or, Germany took forever to beat them.
Go Dave go!
I hate how they added burgenland like that it looks disgusting
