More than 100,000 km down the road, this EV still makes its owner proud and happy. I've owned my 2019 Chevy Bolt since brand new and still love it. Bye-bye, EV haters.
The simplicity is what makes this car so attractive, in the future when EVs trickle in the market with better all around range and charging options, people won't go back, we are still in the infancy stages of EV Cars, so it will get there, takes time and a few bumps down the road!
@@corradettimotorsports360 Of course! Today's EV haters remind me of those old timers who opposed the advent of gas cars, saying exactly the same things: "gas cars are unsafe because gas explodes" (still does), "there are not enough gas stations out there to move around freely" (range anxiety), "horses are much better because there is fuel (grass) for them almost everywhere", "cars are soulless", and so on. And I agree, once you've tried an EV you are highly unlikely to go back to an ICE car. A world of difference.
I looked at the MiEV about 10 (?) years ago but just couldnt be bothered; It only charged at L1 (and a slow L1 at that, 2mph IIRC) and it could only just barely handle my then commute on a charge and would not be able to charge in time for the next commute, so I would have needed 2 of them. $20k was too much for that.
I agree, it was like a Model T Ford for EVs (without the bargain price) Limited Range, Style and Charging Options were a reality back in the day, but it was well engineered and was part of the EV Chapter in the automotive world, for me it is serving a purpose and so far, exceeding them, I am buying a new Mirage in June/July so I will do a very comparable competition between them in future episodes! This is a very specific EV that is not for everyone, but man I love this car!
Your Mitsubishi i-MiEV brought me to your channel! This car would be perfect for me. There aren't many places to go here, so the range would be good, too. Aloha!
Thank you for dropping by! For most people this car would be perfect, small, efficient and gives enough range for most daily city commutes. Maybe in a couple years new subcompact models like these will make a comeback!
@@corradettimotorsports360 all power to you o7 Will be looking forward to any updates. You're probably familiar with one RUclips EV channel called 360mpg or Ben S is his nane
Thank you for your contribution in the EV insanity, and for supporting the blasting of mountains and other places for that.... wish you great times at lineup for charging.... and mostly, thank you for helping rising my hydro bills.
It's all about choices, for many this car can work and being EV just gives you more choices, its not for everyone, but for those that need a short range city car, this one fills the bill nicely and with 16kw hr battery pack, it does not use a lot of electricity.
So if you're so concerned will you consider that the business practice is dead wrong? The business practice of digging up oil and coal for profit and flatten everything that gets in the way of a business profit motive?
@@toyotaprius79 It's also wrong, but in the end it's all to support the insanity of the money, as the current economic model is a giant fraud. If people would realize how much everything they're doing is useless, the insanity would stop.

Basically all torque and no action. I am so spoiled driving the Tesla model 3.
oh 100%! while this is not a hot rod by any stretch of the imagination, its very smooth and does get up and go better than a small compact gas car!

sorry your not a fan, its been doing great for my needs so far, really great car to be honest!
