Best i did for her was a bunch of Jo Malone fragrances. Shes by far the most difficult person to shop fragrances for. Cant be too floral or too sweet either. It always seems idk, more aquatic or ethereal. Like i said, Jo Malone seems to do it for her, bt im looking at around for something more niche and special while retaining the traits she likes.
I totally agree about everything you said about Oud - I feel like that note can be used in so many different ways it’s difficult to know how it will play in fragrances! It can be awfully tricky !!

I have heard a lot of negative stuff lately about companies putting all sorts of rules on fragrance reviewers and I think it's shameful. What?! Asking to see a video first?! Ridiculous. Not everyone will love a particular perfume and there is not a thing wrong with a review where someone just doesn't jive with a perfume. In fact I feel it's more realistic. I can tell when a particular reviewer I watch and really like is gushing over a perfume house where they never ever act so impressed with any other perfume. It's so obvious they are afraid to make the house mad. You are transparent and I value that. oxJulia
Hi there! I’m sad to come inside but I think everyone is ready for a video change up. There are certain companies (ones you have heard of) that require a reviewer send the video over first. I don’t work with them. That’s a big “no”. The only ones I will agree to do PR for will never ask that. When they say, “ say what you want”…..that’s when I’m good with it. It also speaks to the company.
At the same time, human beings in general want to be kind and gracious about a gift given to them so it’s a very tricky line to walk and not easy. Very very few reviewers do that well (IMO). I can think of 3. ❤️😉
Love niche list videos! I’m finding it hard to find my designers interesting lately. There are so many amazing niche fragrances specially for fall! One that I just received is Espiritu from house of Bo…perfect for fall ❤

I have a full bottle of that, and Moonlight in Chiangmai. A Dusita fragrance will be the perfect birthday present to yourself. I also seem to be on a Myrrh kick lately, and this has Myrrh in the base, which pops after about 20 minutes. A great choice for fall! I'm also looking forward to wearing Gris Charnel which I picked up last winter. Oud Sakura sounds very nice -- I'm going to check out the brand.

Fall is definitely here! 🍂 there was frost on the ground here yesterday morning 🥶😅 I just re-organized my whole fragrance collection this weekend and I put most of my fall and winter perfumes out on a bigger tray. Just by looking at it, I think I’m going to be reaching a lot for Armani code and its flankers, maybe Crystal noir, Nirvana bourbon & black, and my cozy-woziest one The Musc by essential parfums. I have samples of three of the ones you mentioned, and I really like them! And I always love when you talk about the dragonfly perfume. (I can’t pronounce it either 😂) There is a strong connection between my daughter and dragonflies, long story but I’ll just tell you that it always puts a smile on my face! It is still on my wishlist to sample, and it really sounds like one I would like! thank you for all the time and effort you put into filming for us, it’s a bright spot in my days to watch these kinds of videos!! ✨ Xo

I have had the Milano Fragranze discovery set for ages, got it just before I lost my sense of smell due to covid and only recently tried them and they are gorgeous. Nobile 1942 La Danza … is also stunning and I really need to try Café Chantant. And Psychedelic Love is so gorgeous. Great selection. I really need to get my nose on the Argos fragrances. The bottles are so gorgeous. And Arquiste is something I want to try too. If only our trip to London hadn‘t fallen through (yep, Covid) I could have tried so many fragrances. Argh.

Now I need to sell them and for some reason I have some much anxiety about selling them on Mercari. I purchase from there but never sold. I even watched a few videos about how to sell on Mercari but it just makes me anxious thinking about it. Maybe I’ll gift them to my mom and aunt during Christmas 😂. They sent me Holiday, Emerald Reign, and Nouez Moi. They’re not bad, just not for me.
Psychedelic Love is my favourite from Initio. I absolutely love that fragrance. That lasts well over 10 hours on me. Divine Vanille is amazing! Smells similar to Herod from PDM. I love it. It’s a great house. I have 4 bottles from them. And your lineup has me pencil down some new gems to try, as always 😃btw: you look absolutely stunning!!

La Danza, Divine Vanille and Gris Charnel are all gorgeous and I wear them throughout the year😍😍. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Basillica and Panettone, thinking of getting a discovery set🤔🤔. I paused the video and sprayed my friend’s sample of Milky Musk 39 and oh my word it’s so beautiful even in the heat🙌🙌. I don‘t like Scherzo by Miller Harris either. I keep trying it, thinking I am missing something and maybe my nose is just tired. But I just don‘t like it. I am also very careful with Oud (and I am really not a fan of Rose, at all), but then again some of my fave fragrances have oud and some even quite prominent oud notes. Strange. it is the same with leather notes for me. Some leather just smells stinky and some is absolutely delicious.

Have you considered just staying away from Vanilla based perfumes? I think it would be really challenging to do a vanilla perfume video for those who hate it with a passion. 😬There’s no middle ground. 😂
Have you tried any of Gritti's fragrances? I was at Scent Bar yesterday (Luckyscent is their online store) and I sampled Duchessa, Rialto and Chantilly and I nearly passed out. I used to hate cherry but Duchessa made me a believer. I've never smelled anything like it.

Yes it’s worth a try! It could definitely be an Anne fragrance because it’s very unique (as far as incense goes) and comes off gourmandish to me!

Would that white floral be Melodie de l’amour by any chance? I purchased a set of travel sprays since first trying it in February. One day I’ll get a full bottle. I even wrote to Pissara to thank her for making such a beautiful fragrance and received the kindest reply. Issara is the first Dusita fragrance I fell for though. I have a full bottle of that, and Moonlight in Chiangmai.
A Dusita fragrance will be the perfect birthday present to yourself. I tried convincing my husband that since October will start my 40th year, we should celebrate with 40 fragrances. He didn’t think it was a great idea 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe you can run with the idea for your birthday ☺️
Triumph of Bacchus..I was supposed to like this one lol. La Danza..Love! Great review of Oud Sakura..how would I feel about that one? Try 4160 Tuesdays Cherry Who..a very pretty take on cherry that doesn’t smell like everything else. I just sampled this and liked that it wasn’t another Lost Cherry, though It might be more for spring than fall.

Hi yes I have a sample. Santal Blanc to me is much heavier on the fig and doesn’t have the wood chippy thing I love so much in Milky Musk. 😉❤️

I also seem to be on a Myrrh kick lately, and this has Myrrh in the base, which pops after about 20 minutes. A great choice for fall! I'm also looking forward to wearing Gris Charnel which I picked up last winter. Oud Sakura sounds very nice -- I'm going to check out the brand.

I just re-organized my whole fragrance collection this weekend and I put most of my fall and winter perfumes out on a bigger tray. Just by looking at it, I think I’m going to be reaching a lot for Armani code and its flankers, maybe Crystal noir, Nirvana bourbon & black, and my cozy-woziest one The Musc by essential parfums.
I have samples of three of the ones you mentioned, and I really like them! And I always love when you talk about the dragonfly perfume. (I can’t pronounce it either 😂) There is a strong connection between my daughter and dragonflies, long story but I’ll just tell you that it always puts a smile on my face! It is still on my wishlist to sample, and it really sounds like one I would like! thank you for all the time and effort you put into filming for us, it’s a bright spot in my days to watch these kinds of videos!! ✨ Xo

Wow, another great video. Some great choices here. I have had the Milano Fragranze discovery set for ages, got it just before I lost my sense of smell due to covid and only recently tried them and they are gorgeous. Nobile 1942 La Danza … is also stunning and I really need to try Café Chantant. And Psychedelic Love is so gorgeous. Great selection. I really need to get my nose on the Argos fragrances. The bottles are so gorgeous. And Arquiste is something I want to try too. If only our trip to London hadn‘t fallen through (yep, Covid) I could have tried so many fragrances. Argh.

Now I need to sell them and for some reason I have some much anxiety about selling them on Mercari. I purchase from there but never sold. I even watched a few videos about how to sell on Mercari but it just makes me anxious thinking about it. Maybe I’ll gift them to my mom and aunt during Christmas 😂. They sent me Holiday, Emerald Reign, and Nouez Moi. They’re not bad, just not for me.

Psychedelic Love is my favourite from Initio. I absolutely love that fragrance. That lasts well over 10 hours on me. Divine Vanille is amazing! Smells similar to Herod from PDM. I love it. It’s a great house. I have 4 bottles from them. And your lineup has me pencil down some new gems to try, as always 😃btw: you look absolutely stunning!!

I don‘t like Scherzo by Miller Harris either. I keep trying it, thinking I am missing something and maybe my nose is just tired. But I just don‘t like it. I am also very careful with Oud (and I am really not a fan of Rose, at all), but then again some of my fave fragrances have oud and some even quite prominent oud notes. Strange. it is the same with leather notes for me. Some leather just smells stinky and some is absolutely delicious.
I’m exactly the same with Oud and leather!! Did you like Galleria?? Which Oud and leather perfumes are your favs?

Have you tried any of Gritti's fragrances? I was at Scent Bar yesterday (Luckyscent is their online store) and I sampled Duchessa, Rialto and Chantilly and I nearly passed out. I used to hate cherry but Duchessa made me a believer. I've never smelled anything like it.
