Exactly. He deploys the garrison when he senses a Rebel attack, while Tarkin deploys literally maybe 10 TIE Fighters when the Rebels attack the Death Star. Besides him being a bit of a megalomaniac as well, at least he knew the importance of protecting the Empire's assets
Thinking this was John Williams is probably the best compliment you could give to Michael Giacchino. He did an amazing job replicating John’s style, and especially the Imperial Suite would be right at home in a mainline Star Wars movie.

One thing I liked is that at the end of the movie, he doesn't just send his Death Troopers to deal with Jyn and Cassian. The man goes with two troopers to take care of this himself. A lot of imperial officers I've seen, seem rather more focused on saving their skins or letting their troops deal with problenms. But not Krennic, he's already on his way to deal with them. "Two men, with me, now! Get that beach under control!"
Krennic was really intimidating honestly. He managed to get more kills than most of his imperial comrades. Shame his own project killed him at the end. But it did got the rest of his targets.
The man understood that if you wanted a job done right, you did it yourself. He knew how incompetent the imperial troopers were, thus took action to make sure his goal succeeded.
He was already in hot water, and the invasion of the planet was likely a death sentence for him. He probably figured apprehending the rebels in person would save his neck

He actually was highly respected by all of his men, they saw him as someone who finally stands outside of all the political bs and actually does his highly important work.

For me he is one of the best Villans. The reason for that is that he is not the strongest or the most Powerfull one. But because he is being cruel and arrogant to the People underneth him which brings him somehow respect even from the Audience. He screams yells and is being rude to other people who are underneth him in rank, because someone like Vader and Thrawn will never take him seriously wich makes him desperate to prove himself so he always sends everything in a battle he has.
I mean, he wouldn't be taken seriously until his engineering genius wins the empire the war, which it genuinely could have. Shit, if you can build a giant death ball, you can update the ISD 2 into an even more menacing ship, like the non-canon ISD 3, that and fuck thrawn, aliens can go back to the rim where they belong.
Absolutely masterful and worthy successor which respects the John Williams legacy. We need more Michael Giacchino and other classically trained composers in this world and less of the malignant virus that has invaded the world of film music. I won't say who, but it rhymes with Bans Bimmer.

For me he is one of the best Villans. The reason for that is that he is not the strongest or the most Powerfull one. But because he is being cruel and arrogant to the People underneth him which brings him somehow respect even from the Audience. He screams yells and is being rude to other people who are underneth him in rank, because someone like Vader and Thrawn will never take him seriously wich makes him desperate to prove himself so he always sends everything in a battle he has.
I mean, he wouldn't be taken seriously until his engineering genius wins the empire the war, which it genuinely could have. Shit, if you can build a giant death ball, you can update the ISD 2 into an even more menacing ship, like the non-canon ISD 3, that and fuck thrawn, aliens can go back to the rim where they belong.

Absolutely masterful and worthy successor which respects the John Williams legacy. We need more Michael Giacchino and other classically trained composers in this world and less of the malignant virus that has invaded the world of film music. I won't say who, but it rhymes with Bans Bimmer.
