There's getting good at jiu-jitsu and getting good at competing. Just gotta do it as much as you can until you get comfortable. It helps to have an army of 50 people cheering for you.

Then you can also prepare for a competition that actually means something like $$ or real prestige not a NAGA or open. It's dumb, and yea I've medaled and also been submitted in competition..she had time to tap but chose not to, if a competitior wants to go out getting hurt when they literally have the choice of not then okay but I'm fine to call it out for being stupid, especially in the long term (there's more comps to prove yourself, 95% are hobbyist with day jobs)

i mean not really there’s not a set time you’re going to get a belt plus if he was on other teams and switched thats practically a reset in time for most teams but like i said there’s no set time someone’s going to receive a belt especially at a competition based school.

@@chetfreeland1920 i mean there’s people that spend years on one belt i spent about 4-5 years on my grey and only made it to orange before i got my blue (i’m 16 for reference on belt colors) but my point is that people spend a longgggggg time on belts especially from purple to brown since that’s when all of 50/50 opens ups in competition so there’s a large gap that’s just my opinion though
