Nice to see you reunited with Mrs GLovesTrains (175109) Brilliant Vlog G and that Class 197 at Conwy did look a little evil waiting to replace the Class 175s :(
Haha yeah like the poster was gonna come alive 😂 thanks cyber!
175s are so comfortable! I'm going to try a 180 in a couple of days for the first time. I'm really excited! Let's see if I end up going nowhere!
Fantastic video G hope your well glad to see you got onboard 175109
Hi G,
I enjoyed your video of your journey on your favourite train, I did wonder if it was going to form the back working, which it did. It is unusual for a young lady to be as interested as you are but I congratulate you for it. Have you met Francis Bourgois yet or seen his videos? He has even written a book called The Train Spotter's Notebook...it was really an enjoyable read...
Look after yourself and take care,
Cheers, Jon B.
Wow, what a journey and on your Valentine Train too, incidentally you past by my house and you could have seen it from the train when you crossed the bridge on to Anglesey (but a bit dark outside). Love your Travel-volgs s keep them coming, great to have you back in Wales. Kindest of regards Mark-Edwyn. 🚂🚃🚃
We are off to Prestatyn in May, so will be doing this trip as there is a direct service to Holyhead £29.10 for two of us return with our railcard! Thanks for another fun vlog x
Yeah G'day,
YAY! G is reunited with their long-absent love 175109 and unfortunately, they couldn't have alone time to express their devotion to each other.
It's a shame we couldn't see more of the Welsh scenery and there wasn't enough time to explore Holyhead at night but we really appreciate that this would have been a very long day for G. 😁
I’m enjoying your videos , have you tried the liskeard to looe line ? A short but beautiful journey !
Another great episode of: 175's are cool with G!
When you are at Llanfairpwllgwyngwyngogerychrywndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch you put your knickers on your head....
lovely views and lovely train !!
I do like the 175's. They are spacious and unlike other trains, do have plenty of leg room in between the seats.
I went on RTT's site and its pretty good - very useful when choosing which train to catch on TFW. Yesterday I saw a scabby class 150 on the Manchester to Cardiff route. Hardly what I call a good train for such a long distance. I'm trying to get on a Mark 4 coach with a class 67 for a journey from Cardiff to Crewe next Monday. Hopefully RTT will help me choose
Here's a video you might like about TfW at Holyhead
5:25 oh ny goid!!!!! hahahahhahaa You're ace hahahaha
I wish you would ride my unit 🥰🥰🥰 I love you Gloves
It’s Upsetting That The 197s Are Now In Service Not Long Until My 2nd Favourite Train is Replaced… 1st Favourite Train: Class 390 Pendolino
This is Me With 390156 With Avanti West Coast
Going to Conwy in September, how do the request stops work? I'm a bit worried the train won't stop and I'll end up miles away from where I need to be 😆
If you’re on the train, tell the conductor in PLENTY of time that you need to alight. If you’re on a platform then hold your hand out as the train approaches and keep it held out like hailing a bus until you see it slowing to a halt for you ❤
Just say to the conductor when they come down to check tickets 'may I request Conwy please?'. When you're at Conwy waiting for a train, stick your hand out as you would a bus 👍
What was wrong with train toilet doors that just locked, instead of this multiple choice system? If anything goes wrong, you’ll be sitting there while the whole toilet wall slowly slides away, unveiling you like a prize on a quiz show.
A very good Tuesday evening young lady how are you today hun xx from Alan in Lowestoft hun xx 😘
Disgraceful how people leave their rubbish behind lazy gets!.
I'll try not to be too jealous 😜🤣 xxxx
This ride brings back memories for me. Personally I always preferred the Cambrian Coast Line betweem Maccynleth and Pwhelli. Greetings from the gay man from Germany.
Great vlog, G! I think we first saw you with 109 at Runcorn East on North West Day 6, but you hadn't chosen it as your favourite until later that day. Hopefully your paths will cross again eventually!
Haha probably! And yeah maybe they will 😁😂 thanks barrowc
Great videos! I wish you the best of luck on your RUclips channel! Take care and keep up the amazing work!!!!
Nice vlog G. Great too see you riding and being reunited with 175109. The views across the north Wales coastline are stunning no wonder people want to sit on that side lol. Glad you managed to get the seat on the coast side eventually I do that sometimes move seats if I don’t like the one I originally chose or even reserved for that matter lol. Stopping at all the request stops my train did that all except one on the way back from Stratford Upon Avon. I enjoyed watching as always.
Thanks Sam! A lot of them sit on their phone on that side haha
Just thinking about the NWC, the 37's were the best for riding behind. It was the 175s that replaced them!😭
Another fun vlog. Last time I did the North Wales route was in a Mark 1 coach hauled by a hefty Class 40 loco in the 1980s. I am sure the journey was quicker in those days. Are Contratulations in order? I will have to do some digging to find out what is planned for the 175s. Great vlog, Ray xx
The rumour is they may be going to Chiltern Railways but who knows, thanks Ray!
@@GLovesTrains thats news to me.
I love how you was a proper wiganer saying reet lol , another great blog and how dare you not get a seat Xx
My favourite train was 43 007 (HST). But that's probably because it was the first HST I got to drive....love your channel btw...
brilliant vlog first of all its amazing to see you ride your fav train again 175109 and along the beautiful North Wales coast line which is a lovely route to ride but anyway ive been on a few refurb 175s in 2021 & 2022 and they have done an amazing job on them and i found them nice and warm especally on a cold day and i must admit i do like a 175 they are amazing trains keep up the awesome work
Brilliant vlog G!
Glad you had the chance to ride 109 again. 👍🙂
Thanks Ian, I had a great time!
Lovely ride that G, i was on TFW and a Northern train on 3rd Feb as i went to the other Bangor (Bangor-On-Dee) for the racing and had to kill a couple of hours in Wrexham which i found to be like Warrington but in Welsh, quite a nice place if truth be told
Very nice video
I like all your video's G!
Greetz from the netherlands
G at my home station Chester. I hope you liked it
All that time waiting for a seat on the coast side. Do these passengers not know they are riding with train royalty 🤣🤣 Great Vlog G and the North Wales coast is stunning.
Haha!
Awesome video, one day, you got to visit here, the USA.
All hail 175109 🚂 another great vid from ya G as always 😊
So glad that you managed to have a proper long ride on 175109 on Valentine's day.
Incredible to think that it's three years since Exploring the North West day 6
Thanks! And yep feels like ages ago now haha
@@GLovesTrainsas one of your Irish subscribers living in Manchester 21 years, do you know what the 175’s are going to be replaced with? And will they have sufficient luggage space for those of us on SailRail from Manchester to Dublin? I’d love to see direct trains from Manchester (ideally Victoria) and perhaps even first class as their replacement - I’ve written to TfW and Network Rail about this, as the SailRail product offering needs a massive overhaul in several areas
Fantastic video I know that feeling when you get a favourite trains you can describe it. North Wales Coast Line is one of my favourite lines to travel along
Great film G. I've said it before but you are lucky to have found your soul mate. I'm talking about 175109, not your girlfriend.
Oi! 🤣
@@LucyMichela Apologies. I just call it how I see it.
@Carl Wilson haha, yeah she does show it more love than me 🤣
like this line nice views great g
Give me a 158 any day!
Looks like you had fun. You'll have to try out a 197 at some point. Will we see you exploring South Wales by train at all G?
Hope so!
Nice to ride on your beloved G, keep it up 👍👍
The way the 175s are going youll have to make sure it dont catch fire 😂
True! There was another fire last night on a 175 at Wilmslow as well... That's the second fire in two weeks.
Great episode, back to your best 👍
there are so many wonderful routes in Wales i will grade this my second Favourite Shrewsbury to Barmouth (and beyond) is my favourite
Brilliant video G, it's brilliant to see you've had a ride on 175 109 again. It's also quite lucky you got the good seats in the end for the coastal views. I still haven't been on the North Wales coast line yet and it's a line I would love to do. :)
I’ve been doing the North Wales line on SailRail for 21 years living in Manchester, as I have family in Ireland and I use the Irish Ferries Ulysses from Holyhead to Dublin, both summer and winter, daytime and overnight sailings - the immensely scenic North Wales Line is best viewed in Daytime in Summer between Chester and Holyhead
Miss G excellent, as usual. Manys a time I was on that route (catching the Holyhead ferry to my homeland). And two of the highlights, esp if travelling in daylight, on that route, westbound, on leaving Bangor, are (1) the famous Britannia Bridge with the 2 huge lions at each end and then, almost immediately after entering Anglesey, (2) what rail people call "Llanfair PG" station.[People look this up on the web!!].. best wishes. PS do ye know the connection between George Orwell and yr home town?
Great vlog G, it is such a shame that the 175's are set to be replaced, I'm sure you will get another chance to ride on 175109 again, the views were spectacular (even from then wrong side) and as others have mentioned 3 years since 'Exploring the North West', time flies when your having fun. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
I’m most familiar with the 175’s, having used them almost exclusively on SailRail from Manchester Piccadilly to Holyhead via Chester for 21 years when going home to family in Ireland on Irish Ferries and Stena to Dublin - if the trains are busy, luggage space is at a premium, especially with my huge suitcase for my week long visit to Ireland - a major issue for the 175 is the capacity, where train conductors on TfW (and Arriva Trains Wales before that) often apologise for the lack of sufficient coaches, an apology that is almost standard - in that time, I’ve had so many stories, like when at Bangor, they provided us a beautiful new coach to take us to Holyhead when the line was blocked on an overnight sailing to Dublin
Lots of fun once again. Thank you.
Have you seen the new depot they tfw are building in Taff's well. .worth a look if you travel the valley lines I know Simon likes Abercynon lol or abersignon 😂
Don't think I've seen it
@@GLovesTrains next time you adventure to s Wales get on the merthyr or Treherbert and get off in Taff's well its right by there also you will see the lovely castle in the hill. Well worth a visit.
I Think I Took a Photo of 175109 When I was in Chester on Monday
I was on 109 on the same service
I beleive i was on the first seat facing forwards on thr right hand side of the video and i got off at
Flint
I would absolutely love it for you if you were able to save up to buy that train and save it! Omg! Hope it gets saved!
Sorry nothing beats the Class 315. Miss those trains! I have to admit I've not tried out a 175.
Was that a very fleeting glimpse of a Britannia Bridge Lion at around 6:00?
Great trip enjoyed this one glad you were on your favourite train
you seem to have fallen off my notifications... not sure why that happens, but defo does from time to time, once replaced will TFW not just pass them on to another operator with either not enough or shite stock.... im sure thats how it works, there are far worse trains on the net work {full uk} than them i actually quite like them and are nowhere near TFW's worst
Love your videos my favourite train is class 158 841
Was 175109 your valentine?
I saw those at Newport
I do hope that Transport for Wales would still keep the Class 175 Coradia since they are slowly being replaced by the Class 197 Civity. Still sounds like you had a wonderful day.
Plus you should do Merseyrail Class 777 when it enters service on the Northern Line this year 😄
im gonna miss the 175's too ..guess your gona have to find a 197 now then
This was yet another fantastic Vlog G I’m glad you managed to catch up with 175109 and ride the service from Chester to Holyhead the scenery along this route is absolutely breathtaking I hope you are able to enjoy one last journey on 175109 before the new TFW trains take over I continue to enjoy watching your Vlogs G and I look forward to watching many more until then G carry on being awesome keep up the good work take care and stay safe
aww just down the road from me wish I knew you was there , autograph time lol
great video g, whats spooky is i did part of the route today myself including on a 175
highlight of my week is seeing your videos there the best
Bad news TfW has withdrawn those trains.
When will the HS2 extends to Holyhead
Just fantastic as always love the North Wales coast brilliant ride thanks for sharing your adventures G always a great watch 👍🙂
Them trains soon gone and missed
Nicest 175 in our fleet I personally think, the cabs aren’t as torn up as some of the other 175s.
44th like per the usual
I have no doubt that the 175s will be taken over by another operator when it leaves TFW. I see that you had a really fab journey on the 175? 👍. You had a fantastic Valentine's day.
I love watching this video
Been on this service a number if times. More so the service Euston to Holyhead.
Awesome video G Loves Trains
Nice to see that the 175s have charger sockets. Did notice just the other day that the Class 385s don’t! In trains designed and built in the 21st Century!
The North Wales Coast Line looks lovely. Closer I’ve come to it is Chester. Must do it some time. 😊
EDIT: Why do people not clean up after themselves? Hate to get on a train and find bottles and various crap left behind.
Probably they haven't been brought up properly, and this is what they are used to,and yes it is disgusting and annoying
Great Video G 🚉🎉
Trains Station 🚉
Well done I like your channel
Great line, and 175s are the best. Well done Gloves again. X
The North Wales coast line is a nice route, glad to see you back on it again 😀. Do you think TfW would let you have the train once it gets replaced?
Haha I want a seat 😂
Great to see you reacquainted with the love of your life 175109 when tfw stop using 109 hopefully they will donate it to you G❤
Thanks Stuart, hope so haha 😄
Love it, G. What is your favourite North Wales station?
Glan Conwy is beaut!
What’s that song at start
What is RRT?

Beautiful views of flowing water and the countryside are always the best! 😎
I had a smashing experience with a 175 from Chester to Cardiff (before having to get a dusty 153 home), and I have NO CLUE why they are retiring these brilliant units! I wonder what TOC they will go to, if any?
Brilliant video lol.
What a delightful video, love your presenting style. Hope there are many more to come....
You are have been awarded an official badge of Bad
Assery by the Freak Family on the Left coast of Turtle Island. Carry on!
Thanks for sharing your Valentine Line G, great views while they lasted! 😊 Looking forward to what comes next.....
I have a soft spot for the 175s from when they were all purple inside, and ran into the Lake District. But it looks like they've been kept up nicely!
Made it in the end to sit on the side of the train you wanted, even so it was a great video again ✅👍
I used to be a conductor at Chester many many years ago (2004) and the 175s were my absolute favourite train to work. Proper nice trains. Lovely and quiet and comfy seats. The cabs are really spacious too. I then transferred to TPE and worked 175s on the Blackpool, Barrow and Windermere routes. Miss those days 😢
Amazing! Would have loved to ride them up there!
Fantastic video as always
Apparently 175008 (Fire Damaged) 175103 and 175111 have already been taken out of use so the days of Class 175's really is numbered.
Also 175005 is now off lease
@@Thornaby37 Darn has that gone aswell now?
@@terenceprice went off lease last week and stored at Holyhead
@@Thornaby37 That where 103 and 111 are?
