1) Freddy Mercury is, hands down, the best frontman to ever hit a stage. 2) Roger Taylor (drums) is an amazing singer who hits all the high notes. 3) That’s not glasses of beer on the piano, Freddy would drink tea with honey and lemon to protect his voice during the show. 4) Dr Brian May (PhD in Astrophysics), the guitar player with the gorgeous head of hair, still has those beautiful locks today- although he is in his 70’s and completely grey. And still gorgeous. 🥰 Great reaction. ❤️🤘🏼🤘🏼
I saw him live as well on their We Are The Champions tour. Amazing!!! I've also seen Queen with Adam Lambert live. Adam does very well, but he will never be Freddy in my eyes.
Freddie Mercury's brilliant masterpiece! Freddie Mercury was much more than a rock star. He was a genius. Freddie Mercury's music is the music of beauty and freedom, Eternal! Freddie was not a frontman, but the driving force and the heart that defined the band. Unforgettable, irreplaceable, inimitable! I miss you!!
Flora, his songwriting was always complex, he never took the easy route, with key changes, tempo changes and ridiculous vocals, his songs were beautifully written and the backing harmonies were better than anyone elses 👑✊🇬🇧
Year, no. Brian May isn’t a rocket scientist bc he doesn’t have a degree in aerodynamics or aerospace engineering. And his PhD on Zodiacal Light is as dull as Brian’s public persona!
The drummer - Roger Taylor - is a great vocalist on his own right. Freddie Mercury was, still is, and will always be the greatest frontman ever to grace this world.
This is my favorite live performance ❤️ Freddie absolutely nails it and so do the rest of the band. Someone else might have mentioned it already but other than the one beer it’s tea and honey 😁 great reaction ❤️
Yup. People go on about Live Aid. Yes it was a significant moment for them, but other than the size of the crowd everything about this performance is better.
I was fortunate enough to have seen them live twice. The first time on the Game tour, where this video is from. I saw them about a year before this show in September 1980 and again in 1982, Billy Squier opened for them, both times at Madison Square Garden. There's another great song from this show, who am I kidding they're all great, it was a new song off the Game album called "Save Me". Freddie and Brian Light the place up with that one. It comes highly recommended.
That’s very fortunate to be able to say you attended 2 Queen Concerts while Freddie was alive. They really were such a unique mix of people, and they had their disagreements, but they were somehow always able to see the bigger picture.
There is nothing to say about this song once you hear it other than don't miss how much Roger is singing in this one and never missing a beat on the drums.
Thanks, kids - yep, Freddie, as always.. but give it up for the BAND... Roger Taylor on drums singing that crazy high stuff.. Brian wailing on the guitar AND singing... and not to forget John Deacon slappin' the bass, mon!.. lol
My favorite Queen song! Penned by Freddie inspired by his love for Aretha Franklin!! Queen voted best live rock band & one of the best selling artists on the planet. The Queen 🤴🏻 rabbit 🐇 hole 🕳 is deep and worth jumping into!! DRAGON ATTACK from same concert! 🐉
I also read that Freddie decided early on to never drink alcohol during a performance. As most of us know, alcoholic beverages can make you burp and Freddie thought it would be disrespectful to his fans if he was singing and burping throughout his performance. Miss you so much, Freddie. ✌
Jon Guitarist with black mane of hair is Dr. Brian May who completed his doctoral thesis in Astrophysics few years ago. Brian put his studies on hold because his band, Queen became famous. Actually, other members: John Deacon, Bassist studied electronics engineering and Roger Taylor studied biology. Freddie studied graphic arts. John build amplifier called "Deacy Amp" for Brian. John retired from touring after Freddie's death, but he joined the band for few reunions. Even though John is not touring with Queen, John has an equal say in day-to-day operations of Queen. John threatening to sue Brian and Roger because they were still using Queen with singer, Adam Lambert. All parties settled. Band's new name is Queen+Adam Lambert. John felt that Brian and Roger disrespecting Freddie by having Adam and using Queen.
I just heard an interview with Roger saying that without Adam he and Brian would not be able to play Queen songs and tour the world with them. That is a sad thought. The younger generations that (also) go to the concerts now do not mind it - and a lot of older people don't mind either. Adam is not Freddie - but he is capable to sing the songs - he has an exceptional voice! no-one can compete with it.
Brian pit his PhD on hold bc he was too busy acting like a rock star for a long while. Then, whrn Freddie died and nothing was happening in his career he finally finished tracing Zodiac Light dust and finished his PhD. Also, Brian admitted in an interview that he has not heard from John in a long long while. So, chances are John’s silence is interpreted as a “yes” by Maylor and they go in destroying Queens legacy without John true permission.
@@papabearM3 I know - and Queen has chosen him to be Freddie in Queen Extravaganza - and to sing in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody " when there wasn't good enough tapes with Freddie himself - so I think they do appreciate his singing capabilities - so something else must have weighed in. They didn't think they were ever going to tour again - and then they met Adam - and there were some chemistry - and they thought 'maybe'? Perhaps they went on tour again because he wasn't copying Freddie but brought something else to the cooperation - that. would keep Roger and Brian on their toes - in that way they could be equals as musicians. The old fans have lots of RUclips with Freddie - and there is albums.. Just guessing.
Roger Taylor on drums has an incredible voice, he would have been frontman in any band but Queen they had Freddie. The whole group is crazy talented and make magic happen together.
The guy who handed mike to Freddie is Peter 'Ratty' Hince his roady! Great guy! There is an interesting book from him came out about his work in Queen! Great stuff! You wont see this in the documentaries!! Please check out Dimmu Borgir - Arcane Lifeforce Mysteria!
A lot of people seeing this assume they were closing their set with this BUT I am reliably informed this was 20/30 minutes into their set and they were on stage for at least another hour!!! 😊
This is probably the best live version of the song. Even Freddie is impressed by how he performed it, with the little yeah. The drummer, Roger Taylor, compliments Freddie on many songs. If you want to hear more from Roger, you should react to "I'm In Love With My Car".
Love you guys 💕!! You remind me of my son and daughter in law!! Both huge Queen fans, both love rock music, both listen to all kinds of music apart from rap!! I'm in my seventies and I absolutely adore Queen. I've been a fan from the nineteen seventies. Just adore their music and their talent. Long live Queen ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ xxxxx
Not only does Freddy know how to play the organ/piano....he like his Heini' too! He was one of a kind, amazing performer and the greatest frontman/lead singer ever!
The guy handing Freddie his Mike is, Peter Hince, Freddie’s roadie. One of his many responsibilities to Fred and the band. He wrote a delightful book about his time with the band. BTW, those cups are not all beer. Freddie sipped hot tea with lemon and honey to soothe his throat during those vocally challenging performances. Peter would replace the cups as they cooled. Hence, so many cups. He did occasionally sip some beer for thirst but was cautious BC he did not want to belch while singing. Roger Taylor? The drummer? His vocal register was so high that Freddie called it his dog whistle. Most high notes in any Queen song is Roger. It was his, “Galileo” in Bohemian Rhapsody that you hear. Talent times four young performers. Unmatched and still admired today. Roger & Brian (guitar) still perform as, “Queen + Adam Lambert.” Still selling out arena, stadiums and enormous venues. Brian was recently Knighted by King Charles and he hols a Doctorate in Astrophysics, having worked with NASA.
The incomparable Roger Taylor!! He was/is a total beast on drums and vocals. He and Brian May are still going strong well into their seventies...still touring as Queen with Adam Lambert. Please react to Roger insane drumming and singing I'm In Love With My Car from this same concert! ❤️👑🥁🎤🎹🎸
INSANE! You have to see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. It's a 2018 biographical musical drama film that focuses on the life of Freddie Mercury and showcases the evolution of their band and the music. The actor who portrayed him, Rami Malek, won the best actor Oscar.

He said he liked beer but would never drink it during a concert and risk burping into the mic, it would be disrespectful to the audience.
Queen and Freddy Mercury were awesome in concert. If you like these types of live shows, you might want to check out Peter Frampton sometime. The song is called "Feel like I do"
Live version of Stone cold crazy needs a reaction, generally regarded as the birth song of speed metal and you get to hear Freddie spitting bars .. 👌 Live version of Dragon attack is a great funky side of Queen with Freddie playing with the audience
Pretty sure the cups have tea or honey! For him to sing like that not alcohol besides I don’t think Freddie drank much lol Freddie was a professional devoted to his music
Hahaha, Jon you dirty minded man. "Freddie's little nob hanging out". Now I know you didn't mean quite that, but I was watching a documentary and listening your reaction and all I heard was you talking about hanging nibs. Heh

Both him and Roger just had their birthdays couple weeks ago!!
Couldn't have said it better! Brilliant!
And Roger has a BSC in Biology.
Brian May also made his guitar from scratch.
Don’t forget about John Deacon on bass
I don't think there will ever be another Freddy Mercury. So glad I was able to see them live a few times. He was a gift.
You’re so LUCKY!
I saw him live as well on their We Are The Champions tour. Amazing!!! I've also seen Queen with Adam Lambert live. Adam does very well, but he will never be Freddy in my eyes.
Freddie was the most beautiful thing in the 20th century.
That was very well said Freddy was a treasure to the world
There can be only one
Lordy, his voice still gives me goosebumps every time I hear him sing. I miss him.
Freddie and Roger(drummer) was in sinc perfectly on this feeding off each other as usual, but perfectly this night. Great reaction.

Dr. Brian May, 75 and still rocking the mane. It's just silver now. Rock on, Doc.
The greatest frontman in rock and roll history, greatest ever ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ RIP Freddie, we certainly miss you down here
they all praise Freddie here but Rogers backing vocals are out of this world
This whole show is incredible. I have it on blu ray and the band sounds the best I’ve ever seen.
“That guitarist “… yeah, that would be Dr. Brian May, phd in astrophysics. How cool is it to have a rocket scientist as your lead guitarist.😎
