- This is a chance for beginners to watch a video on how to paint a group of farm buildings using Pen & Wash technique. Different approaches on how to complete the painting . You decide which is best for you . This is good for beginners new to watercolour painting .
Do you make the sketch first and then add the paint or make a rough pencil sketch and then paint in the various washes and add the pen drawing later. What about the 50/ 50 technique???
Enjoyed this tutorial too. Yay. The 1/2 & 1/2 method is great. 🥰
Love this John , maybe just maybe I can master this ! U make it look so easy !
I agree with Marie. This is very interesting, and something I haven't tried yet. But I very much look forward to doing so.

Love it - simple and effective. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing more and painting along with you.
Oh! John, I honestly love your work and need to attempt a try myself, alas it is the drawing that stumps me, have you thought of putting the drawing ready for us to copy? Best wishes
You can just pause the video, take a screenshot and print it out.
