Instead they just get on their knees and pull uke straight downwards. So yeah, the famous drop Seoi-nage is actually Seoi-otoshi in 90% of the cases.
I'm 1 year late, but it's the way you grab the uke. In ippon seoi nage you wrap uke's arm like a backpack and throw, in normal seio nage you grab the gi.
