Please don't apologize for the skunk!!! You are a great example of honesty and humbleness, two remarkable and rare things. You remain the smartest man I know.
Hey man I just wanna let you know , I fished my whole life with my dad doing bass tournaments , I remember he used to pull me out of school for a week before a big tournament and we would just go fish the lakes the tournaments were on. There were guys like bob Izumi in the tournaments. So it was really cool to be doing that caliber of fishing so young, my dad is now passed away , and I don’t have a boat nor do I really live near any water anymore but watching these videos really brings me back , so thank you skunk vid or not it’s a part of fishing , I love your channel brotherman if your even up in Southern Ontario make sure you hit up lake scugog , chamong lake, sturgeon lake and pigeon lake. Some of the biggest largemouth of my life ( biggest one was 10.03lbs out of pigeon lake. But wasn’t official. But my old man got a 7.5 pounder in scugog which was in a bass masters magazine in 1995 ish .
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. I love your honesty Matt. If you are a true fisherman, we all make mistakes. I once caught a Musky lure on a reed in Canada and it peeled all my line off my real. Ironically, my two buddies fished the same spot later in the day and retrieved my lineas well as the lure.
Love your channels man they are really awesome between you, Jon B, and Flair you guys are my favorite RUclips fishermen. You guys are the reason why I’m working really hard to start my fishing RUclips channel
The skunk videos are good to post. It shows people that everyone has those days. Love your channel man, quickly becoming one of my favorites. You should try to meet up with YakPak while you're down there. He seems like a cool ass dude
Sometimes the content is worth more than producing!!! Bud, you have a target intent --- with that, definitely a learning curve, esp on new bodies of water. It an awesome video bro, much more than you realize!!! Your narration or your visual and what you're throwing --- your approach......... can't get any better!!! Keep doing what you're doing because the content is fantastic! Be Safe
Great video dude. No reason to feel bad about a skunk. I got used to it and have learned to embrace it 🤣. Your videos are well put together and you do a great job explaining what you're doing. There's value in that. 🤘
thanks for sharing the story about fishing line in the prop...if your out on the water all the time stuff happens even to the best of us just got to roll with the punches..and keep on fishing!!
That looked so awesome bro. Glad you're enjoying it bro!! I love following this journey. It's awesome after a long day of work on this deployment to come back to the room and feel like I'm in the boat with you brother! Keep it up
Man reminds me of old school Bill Dance fishing bloopers. You can’t make this up. May want to get a rope, might be a little cheaper. Keep up the great work.
Never heard of anyone using an outboard as a line stripper, but I guess it was worth a try! All kidding aside sometimes you just can't get on them. Good luck and tight lines! The elusive 10 pounder is out there calling your name. Keep the videos coming.
Some of my best days fishing don't include me catching fish. I seem to learn more on those days than any other. How my baits work, new spots that I hadn't fished before but have a lot of potential. Enjoy your videos.
I’m glad you took the gamble and stuck to your guns! This is why it’s call fishing and not catching lol.. Never stop taking that chance, the one and two pounders will always be there... It’s that hope and dreams of that double digit that keeps us “fishing”
We all have those days Matt! At least you got to fish the draw down bro. Really amazing place to see. I can wait to get up there and fish later this summer. Be safe and fish on!
Don't feel bad. Temps are perfect to fish in Va....but rain has water straight trash. No end til Saturday, but it starts back up Monday and goes a week.
I live in Orlando this little cold spell has really slowed the bite and has the fish deeper. Catching in 10-15ft. I live right near lake Conway, good luck on toho
Well young man haven't commented very much lately but hope it picks up for ya and good luck at toapoe so happy to see how far you have come from day one congrats stay groovy...

The unintentional, dramatic pause after that hook set says it all. Literally everyone knows how that feels man. I'll be looking for you out on the water this Spring Matt....
Brutal. Your ability to keep your shit together is amazing. I think I might have rage-quit fishing (for about the tenth time) after a day like that. Payback is coming, my man! Keep casting!
Thx for more cool content. Finally someone showin some benefits of a jon boat over typical bass boat! I am having your exact day in corporate America when watching this! Better luck next time! You need need to start and patent "Hook-set therapy" and "provide" it to outdoor enthusiasts with mental health issues! You....will... make....BANK!!!

I started fishing a month ago and so far every day has been a skunk day. :) But it's enjoyable and relaxing, so no complaints.
Nice job toughing it out. Glad to know us average Joes aren't the only ones who mess up a knot.
You won't be flying that skunk flag for long. Now when you come back you have more knowledge about the lake. Love it! Go get 'em :-)

May I get the setup for your swim bait heavy rod? IF that is a swim bait rod.
It’s a cashion “musky” rod 7’11 xh 1-5oz. Sick swimbait rod
I like Kyle Welcher. HE is going to do great things. Dustin Connell and Kyle are the future of RUclips. Just you wait and see.
I disagree lol
You can tell a lot about a man by the bagels he eats
What app were you using on your phone?
That’s the navionics app
