The ball movement from FCB was just crisp. They are very well coached and I could honestly care less if this was a preseason game or not. The NBA is supposed to have the best players in the world. The bench for the Lakers should have pulled this victory of. I would actually love to see more of this international play. Maybe have a world championship where the best teams from different leagues come together to play. I would pay to see that.

U think if this was an important game Kobe would play just 24min? Common dawg. Artest played 24 min as well. Only gasol and Odom played normal minutes. This game was a fluke.
This year played the Euroleague Champion against the Nba Champion and this was the result!!I wish every year the champions of the two continentals could played a game for the Ultimate title!!Unless nba teams afraid to lose their ego..

And definitely LA Lakers did not play relaxed how some claimed since all main players Kobe, Gasol, Fisher, Odom, Artest had a full time on the court like it's play off game , reserves played very little , Pau Gasol scored 25 points , he definitely wanted to beat his former team . :D
Generally if we exclude Kobe and Pau Gasol I think that Barca had even better players , Navarro, Rubio, also Mickael, Lorbek, Jaka Lakovic, Fran Vazquez, N'Dong, Terence Morris, Roger Grimau, Sada were all top european players back then and mostly everybody could play in NBA without problem.
I mean I doubt that Barcelona could beat them on 4 victories like in NBA play off but in one game , 5 on 5 on the field everything is possible but Barca shew in several other ocassions too that they can play against NBA teams , they also beat once 76ers led by Allan Iverson , Dallas Mavs in 2012 (i think it was about +15 for Barca at the end) ........and even when they were losing from NBA teams they were losing very tight , they lost by 1,2,3 points and they have been in the game for victory untill the last moment.

This one started as an "exhibition" but soon it became a real match in which no one wanted to loose and all players did not spare themselves. Maybe LA Lakers did not expect a Barcelona so determined and they probably had not deeply studied Barcelona's schemes, strenght or weaknesses, and Barcelona was very strong that year.

-This was the only one game that could has been for a world champ in all History, because Barça was the European Champion and Lakers were the NBA Champion when both play the game.
-Barça wanted to win and Lakers wanted to win too, but they couldn't. That's not the end of civilitzation. Don't cry, please.
-This game was played with NBA rules and NBA referees that help, as usually on these games, the american team.
-Although it was played in Barcelona the court was Palau Sant Jordi, not Palau Blaugrana that is the house for Bàsquet's Barça.
-The public was not supporting as usual, mostly of them were not cheering up as usual, simply viewing the game without any pressure. And a lot of people were not Barça fans, are NBA fans or directly antiBarça fans from spanish or european teams. Basket's Barça fan groups as Sang Culé, Dracs or PB Meritxell were not cheering up as they know and were lost in a court much bigger than ours Palau Blaugrana. The atmosphear when a Barça team is playing capital games in our home is quite more loud.
-I was there. And from even before the game I was pretty convinced that we could won Lakers. That's the reason I make a banner asking why NBA didn't want an official game for a real world champ. On this date, soccer Barça was the World, European and Spanish Champ, the same as basket's Barça if NBA dared to simply gaming as an sport and not as marketing. NBA teams can be defeated too, that's sport.
-One more thing. Basket section from Barça is oldest than any NBA team. Was founded in 1926. FC Barcelona deserves respect.
And we have sections in a lot of sports including 6 pro teams that had already won repeteadly a lot of champs, all the major possible european, spanish and world champs were achieved by:
-Soccer
-Feminine Soccer
-Basketball
-Handball
-Futsal
-Roller Hockey
-Barça also has teams and athletes in other sports not entirely professional as athletics (with a world champ as Yulimar Rojas), rugby, ice hockey, feminine basketball, volleyball (masc. and fem.), figure skating, field hockey (masc. and fem.), wheelchair basketball, e-sports...
If you have a club that could face all Barça teams and sports... we are waiting, so stop crying and come on!

This is horrible take NBA teams have a 89 percent win percentage against world teams and the Lakers with this loss where Kobe didn't even play Kobe minutes is a lowly 83 percent vs the world . This is preseason for the NBA team, not the NBA finals so most of these game features long break in actions from nba teams best players . So he is 100 percent wrong Barcelona wouldn't even make the playoffs in an actual NBA year
