Good evening J&B, I hadn’t purchased any Coin Sets before I became a Member of our family. But now I am and have been going to the area stores that sell them. For me that is Walmart and Target. Some people may be surprised , but Target has a great selection of Coin Sets.
I never bought mint sets to look for valuable coins but now that I know they can be found in there I will start doing that Thank you for the information
Hi J n B and Family. Haven't been around due to my dad's health. Yes, I buy Mint sets that i know have errors or varietys. Mainly silver years but I do purchase sets from my LCS on my runs. Thanks for the awesome video!
Hi J&B. I used to buy mint sets. I have all the mint sets from the state quarter run, but since the original run ended I have not bought any mint sets.
Yes, I do buy the mint sets, proofs, uncirculated, too many. Another out of control collection. lol I do check each through the cellophane for errors and varieties. If I find anything I note it on the package, on an additional outside envelope actually, and keep it intact. I have purchased some to purposely cut apart for a book, but when I get it, I don't have the heart to do it. It gets filed with the others. I do want to eventually have a full set of all sets made. A great pipe dream.
Yes i do buy mint sets, from my local coin store. Sets ranges from 1970-2004, average cost $7 each. Most of them are open and picked over. Have fun finding silver.
I have bought mint sets and uncirculated sets in the past but none recently. Guess I need to look at what I do have. Thanks for the info J and especially Mrs B. ♡
Yoooooo J&B i always enjoy your videos amd really appreciate you knowledge. I havent bought mint sets to look for error but it does sound like something to loook into! Thank you for sharing!
No I haven't bought any mint sets yet. Just because they aren't around here. I'll be looking for them if I get out of town. Thanks for the information and have a great day.
Hi J&B, I have not bought mint sets, but have bought individual coins that I liked. I have a cool error penny though. Thanks for the infomation. Love you all.
Yes I do buy mint sets. I think I’m sitting on a beautiful 1987 MS 67 or higher I’m hoping. I have to say I haven’t even looked at them in 10 years and I had 20 of them I didn’t think to look at them again until I saw JB’s video.
It is truly amazes me how some of them coins can get out the mint in that condition wish I could find one in my pocket change so amazing thanks for the information J and B. I do buy mint sets. haven't found any yet. keep searching
I haven’t bought any mint sets but I have won some in GAWs. I believe mint sets would be the best way to find high grade non-proof coins. I guess I’ll add mint sets to the other things your videos have me looking for.
yes i have bought some mint sets, i would buy older ones like pre 66 if i could , but they just not out there like they used to be. :) jbcoins rulez !! hi darnice :D
I particularly appreciate that you move right along, but not too quickly. I especially like that you don't add a bunch of filler, like what you're having for dinner, politics, the weather, etc. Lol.
Hi JB, I do buy mint sets, I have every one (plus the sms sets) from 1964 until now, except 1982 & 1983 but I'm working on getting the P&D souvenir sets for those two years. Thanks for the info
I have mint sets back to 1962 & am today buying sets for Christmas gifts for my children - grand children nieces Nephew's & great Niece & great Nephews! Special Birth Year mint sets. I do look for some coins for value .
HI J&B, I just got from the store a Silver penny I thought it was a dime 1978 Mint state also have a 1975 penny that has the state of VT in front of his face Thank you,
I only have one mint set, from my birth year of 1969 but a coin of this caliber just might convince me to start buying them, especially the 1975. Thanks J&B see ya in livestream tonight.
Hello, I am new to coin collecting of any kind. I'm having a hard time with quality/grading separation. I was given about $200 worth of pennies (many years were bought and then just put in a container to not have come out again until I got them). I saw this video and wanted to share a few of my 75&76 pennies and maybe get any advice or input I could to be helpful. Thank you
I have just recently started acquiring mint sets. Mostly uncirculated stuff. Never been into the average proof sets really. I like the hunt for all the interesting things in the business strike coins.
I have not bought mint sets to check for errors yet. I have been wanting to buy some just for my kids for their future. I didn't know about the errors that could be found in them.
Hey JB when looking at the first penny shown in this video on the reverse the initials FG the "G" appears to be rather large and well it just don't look right to me. Is it just me or is it error? Thanks for all the info you provide.
I do have the '75 D penny...and the '70 S and a few other pennies that I see are being sought after. My sons bday is in 5 days and with my disability I can no longer work and am now on a fixed income. I was gonna pass my collection over to my kids later, but I need help now. I have a few '79 Ds....this '75 D, a '70 S, '74 no mint mark.. ...and a few others. To a collector, these are the ones they've been looking for. To a father coming out of a 5 day COMA, it can be a blessing. So, let's help each other. God bless you all Kumonee
No, I don't buy mint sets to look for errors. Seems to me that the ODD shaped coins would never be in our change mainly because they wouldn't fit in a wrapper. They were probably rejected at the reserve before rolling. 😁😁😁
I have bought mint sets, proof sets, and other various coins from the mint, and in auctions! I love the opportunities that mint/proof sets provide, but I don't know if I'd dare split them up to sell them individually.
As you know, I'm still new, Only 5 months into the hobby. I find myself always buying more and more mint sets with the mindset of cherry picking the sets. Problem is once I have the sets, I can't bring myself to cherrypick them and break them up. So I'm up to approx 160 mint sets and still cant pull the trigger to start cherry picking them. Maybe when I hit 200 sets.
Actually, I do get some mint sets in hopes for looking for certain things on them. Errors, or high grade coins, etc. Have not got lucky enough to retire yet, but who knows, haha!
I do not buy mint sets to look for valuable coins. Thanks J and B!
