He's gonna have to live with that and change for the better. This kid was crying when the eagles drafted him and he looked humbled. I believe that he will learn and grow. Imagine 2 people dying and then you get all of this media attention, drafted, and signed a contract for millions. I’m sure he feels an insane amount of guilt. Especially for their families. If he doesn’t then he’s just f*d up. If they can’t get help him get therapy and truly heal this his mind will never be fast enough for the NFL. Manti teo talked on that documentary how he felt so ashamed and embarrassed, then he couldn’t play with confidence and the trust you needed to play fast at the highest level. You can’t just do nothing and say “look at Jalen’s tape, he’ll be fine!” . Man has to heal. Hope they have a plan in place.

I think a lot of people don't understand what its like to be a criminal defendant. Its an incredibly emotional process, especially in Jalen's situation when its related to people dying. Everyone handles trauma differently and I think Howie and the team are smart enough to realize that

Carter made a mistake, just like many first round draft picks before him, and presumably more after him. The way he wept on the way to the stage tonight felt like he was carrying the burden of his actions, possibly even feeling undeserving in a way, but he couldnt be in a more fitting locker room. More organizations need to be willing to build the kind of locker room that teams like the Eagles and Chiefs have.
