I dunno why Butch doesn't get a job for Netflix. Alex Hirsch and Craig McCracken are both working on Kid Cosmic together so I dont understand why Butch is wasting time and resources on this. Even John K has tried to get back into the industry thru Patreon even tho no one sensible enough would touch what snake oil he's trying to peddle to you with a 10 ft pole.
You have the right idea, and if Butch were being honest with himself, that’s what he’d do: either sell this immediately before he takes a huge loss, or try to get an animation deal with Netflix, Hulu, hell even something like Paramount+ would be good. But the mainstream streaming services don’t appeal to his very specific ideals and morals, so he can’t partner with them. He’s very religious and very pious and I suspect it’s going to cost him a lot. I just feel bad for anyone who gave money to this.
