If you're playing on public courts and they have a rack that has four slots per section, bring two extra paddles so you and your singles partner can fill the four slots. Where I play, it's okay to mix singles in with the doubles. Typically, the singles games and not any longer than the doubles so who cares as long as you're rotating out when your game is over.
I’m lucky there’s a relatively unused court near me that I can play singles all the time. I think as more courts become available singles will be just as popular as doubles.
