Praise God for technology that allows us to hear the word preached with such clarity. Rc Sproul was a good servant used diligently before being called home.
I miss this man! He makes me cry, with joy! And I thank God for technology for recorded messages such as these! Praise God and may we live to glorify His Holy name!
Yes I discovered Dr. Sproul a couple of years ago and now I listen to his sermons regularly. I wish that I had heard him in person. So grateful he still speaks though dead physically.
I first heard of Pastor Sproul in March of 2024 although I have been saved for 45 years! I've been binge listening to his excellent sermons and have grown ever more spiritually! I praise the Lord Jesus for providing the technology so I can hear and see him! What a brilliant servant he was for the Lord! Glory to GOD!!!
This message Holds for me And awe of God Holiness and How scared His presence and Spirit emanated and empowered the oneness we experienced ❤His Holy Scared Scripture permeates filling our hearts and soul with living life giving connection ❤🙏 once after Holy Communion i was speaking within me to Him with questions answers came it was brief Holy and scared ❤Church A taste of Heaven yes Jesus Christ yes
It's hard to fathom that as we watch this man on video, in reality, his soul is right now with Christ. He is experiencing in reality what he could only scratch the surface of here. It's hard to even picture such a thing because it's so completely outside of our experience in this life. I cannot wait to be with Jesus Christ.
This message is absolutely entirely true❣️All glory be lifted up to our Almighty God our Savior Jesus Christ for through the power of the Holy Spirit, I was born again and saved from the darkness of sin.
RC is so wonderful to listen to and learn from, a giant of a theologian with a genuine sense of humor. His books are pearls and he is the best person to explain Reformed theology
If the Lord will continue to give us such character of the explanation of God's word sutch as The Lord has given incredible grace of his word through sutch a man as this Brother unto our times praise be the name of the Lord
So says you. Who is this WE you speak of? If you're in a church that doesn't worship our Father in a manner to which you see fit then by all means find another one. This guy could've given a lesson on tying one's shoes and it would've been interesting. He's gifted that way. Now if you feel like your worship needs improvement I hope you do just that but this proverbial "we" you include suggests that anyone who reads your comment is included. "We are so far off of what true worship...". I really don't feel a need for a building or a pulpit or a preacher to practice "true worship". I seem to remember reading something Jesus our Lord said about us (we) gathering to worship Him. Mathew chpt.18 vs.20. I feel no conviction by what RC is saying here. I am grateful and feel blessed that we have all these awesome uploads here on RUclips. It can truly be a gift. I just hope that it never leads to strife with my brethren or down the path of heresy. By the grace of Jesus christ and the faith of the believers the hearts of the believers are changed. The holy spirit is sent to help the believers flesh to witness
While wiping away the tears forming on my eyes after listening intently to our Dear Brother R.C. bless us with the insight graciously given to him by the One Whom Alone We Should WORSHIP, i was forced, if you will, to stop the next teaching (that seems to automatically go into, perhaps just a feature of You Tube?), Because of the Tremendous Impact on my heart, mind and very Soul, that has been, and will be, forever engraved there! Oh, Dear Ones, WE have so very much to not only LEARN, but seemingly UN-LEARN, as well. Although, if there could be a 'downside' to this blessed experience, it would be THIS: i believe it will be so much more difficult to find a "Body of Believers" in or around this town(the Washington DC metropolitan area) who can and "Do" wholeheartedly "WORSHIP" the way encouraged by our Dear Brother AND GOD'S WORD, w/o jazzy drum-rolls, scheetchin' guitars and bass-riffs low & loud enough to make your pantlegs vibrate? It's difficult enough not being blessed with personal transportation, other than my trusty bicycle, which has proven to be a real character-builder on those cold mornings, not to mention the perspiration! But i've digressed and i meant not to. Sorry. Nonetheless, i believe i will keep this particular teaching to listen and learn from often. If i may, can i recommend, highly, that You Do The Same? "Tibi Gratias Ago Deo Patri Pro Omnibus Te!" ("Thank You Father GOD, For All Of Thee!")
Amen, brother . I had to take several pauses , my breath taken away, and briefly meditate on what he just said. Powerful, knowledgeable, joyful and humble. Be well, Daniel and don’t forget to look both ways !! 😁
I'm almost afraid to worship God sometimes because I want to make sure my heart is right and that my mind wander. I definitely don't want to be one who worship with my mouth and not my heart.
The process of this world and of every mans breath is both ordinary and transcendent, period. That is a law. Everyone is correct. There is no escape from God and there is no discussion. Listen.
What an easy brother to love. I am uncertain, however, exactly what he holds in his mind as to "regeneration" (around 22 minutes) since he speaks of a "change". It is, of course, a change; but, it in no way means "a change of something old into something new" - rather, it is "something new". God doesn't take the "old man" and make him "newer and better" - he starts with something entirely new. See Matthew 9:17 in this regard. Nevertheless, RC is a heartfelt brother (now with the Lord as this post is written in 2018).
Keith, Not sure where you got "newer and better" from RC's description of change. Please listen carefully for the next minute after as RC says it is the work of the Holy Spirit taking a "dead" man and making "alive". Giving faith where none was. What we hated we love. Not a decision but God's soverign work. RC doesn't have a fuzzy view of born again here nor in any of his works.
Yep indeed...we are 'renovating' the meeting house..costing 2 million...and glass doors right out to the street... i cant imagine how horid that is going to be like a performance to the passers by ...and of course multiple coffee places ... its going to be like every other church in my province .. all worship leaders and new music..not that i mund the new but sometimes the old is just...better ..having been sung for many decades and has all that power in it
To pray and worship our Most High God and Father in heaven while being saved and born again from above in the spiritual but still living in our flesh bodies is not doing what the religious people were doing to show everyone how much they loved God in the old testament, but for us living in the Church Age is to pray and worship in spirit and in truth in private!!! Of course to the apostate churches believers that are natural man's churches and not a true spiritual Church that only our spirit can be saved and not the flesh that could never be saved!!! To follow and suffer like Jesus did while our flesh still have life in them after we are saved is to see and hear how many family and friends and most of the world will be destroyed because of their stubborn unbelief!!!
There is nothing in the text saying we are to worship God in spirit and in truth, that would give us the idea that it means in private. In fact, the scriptures teach that we are to assemble together to worship, and not to give up doing so. A lot of the New Testament language is plural rather than singular, but we miss that in the English translations.
@@judylloyd7901 I don't leave comments to teach anyone but only to pass the 100% truth of the Word in scriptures! John 4:24 does say very plainly God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth!!! I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else whether you are saved or not through scriptures like the Church out there in the public, RUclips and Facebook because they are all apostate churches!!! No man can give you assurance through the letter of the words written in scriptures that you are saved. Not even coming from the true Church believers!!! This assurance can only come between yourself alone and the Holy Spirit who will enter and reside in you! In our mind where it's the only place He can enter us, our physical body!!!
What does he mean we “enter into the Heavenly sanctuary” every Sunday morning? Seems a little Pentecostal to me. Maybe he’s just being poetic which isnt out of the realm of his personality as was. My take-away is we need to be more respectful during church singing instead of it being like a secular concert.
I agree Leslie. Although Revation do talk about the worship of God with the saints and all that. And in 2 king 6:17-18, there are cheriots of fire and angels surrounding us, i think it is perhaps beyond me to grasp such concepts just quite yet... (i.e., when and in what setting do cheriots of fire appear. And is there a conjoint connection between our Earthly worship and the worship that happens in heaven.)
I am a Lobster The chariots appeared w Elisha but that doesn’t mean they do w everyone. That was a special situation. That’s not to say angels never appear w us. We us never know. As Christians, we have Jesus w us all the time. That gives me more comfort. The Revelation passages are what John saw not necessarily what is happening now. Another special situation. Be careful to not read into Scripture what isnt there.
A Christianity that has a God that is never immanent in any way is deism . A God who is so remote he is removed from the lives of his people. The God of Christianity is immanent in his being. He permeates all things. He is present in the person of the Holy Spirit, with us every moment. A God who is not transcendent is pantheism, where all is God and God is all. If everything is God, then in the final analysis, nothing is God. Because that obscures the difference between nature, and super nature. Between the Holy, and the profane.
I'm only about 10 minutes in. But I can't help but think, what's even the point of a Bible without the supernatural? If what you mean is God is beyond the natural, then God is "supernatural", by definition. So... you'll have a Bible without God? Nothing in it would make sense. People are so ridiculous!
RC speaks towards the end of his address about "entering into the heavenly sanctuary". I trust he means in spirit and no more than that as he speaks earlier of the worship service involving a "taste of heaven". Yet, he then alludes to all the departed saints being there in the heavenly realm along with angels, archangels, etc. as if there is literally a worship service in heaven at that moment. Of course, the departed saints are presently "asleep" (see Acts 7:60, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) - so many seem to believe that the "dead in Christ" are "awake" in Heaven at the present time; but, the Bible distinctly shows otherwise.
Keith Petersen sorry but your incorrect, the passages you cite clearly speak of the physical body not the spirit. Further the passages in 1 Thessalonians you cite does clearly say that the spirits of those who are dead physically will come with Christ to rejoin the body on the resurrection ( 1 Thessalonians 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.) so Jesus will bring the spirits of those who have fallen asleep with him to rejoin their physical transformed bodies on that great and glorious day - praise God.
Wow I really enjoyed that. Now I know how important it is for regenerate people to praise the holiness of Our Lord. Focus. Focus focus
