I remember the cold in Norway from a few decades ago (Not fishing). That is all that puts me off going, especially being that much older, bent and broken 🥶 A great video, keep up the great work.
I've been here six weeks and it isn't as cold as you think, it is up North, but I'm in the South and have been out half a dozen times in last few weeks and it's been absolutely fine for fishing and very productive
Hi mafe it's been colder back here at home to be fair. It is cold though 👍
Loving the video, fun to see you fishing in the area where i live. :D
Glad you enjoyed
Got some nice cod there lovely stuff
Thank you mate.
Love video, I wish the cod fishing was the same in Britain, great informative look at what Norway has to offer.. Great stuff 👏 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Get on wayno, just got back from Bodo myself. Hard fishing, 4 butts to 77, cod to 25 and coalies to 9:11. Tough 7 days in our group of 6. Winds everyday from the east, gusting 70mph 🥶
It's been hard out there mate
Great fishing though for you guys
Hi great videos where abouts in Norway were you fishing heading to Norway in September thinking about taking the fishing gear
We were fishing all around Trondheim buddy
Hi ! Years since I've been fishing, but looking to start again as a winter hobby. I live in Isfjorden, Norway and have some handy "marks" around me. I never knew about the herring ... I'll have to invest in the type of lure you have, but what was the best time to fish (in layman's terms). An hour or two before high tide ? No idea mate ;) Anyways, very interesting and informative vids - thank you !
Every mark is different, over high water Is a great place to start
Wayne, what I've noticed since I moved to Norway is that locals don't fish, at least shore fish. (Think they use boats and/or salmon fishing)
The only people I see fishing are east European immigrants or people (also migrants) like myself.
Is it like that where you are? Presuming you're around Trondheim or even further north.
Hi buddy, yes we don't see many people at all, maybe a random lure angler but never anyone with decent kit, fishing properly. How strange 🤔
@@TheShoreHunter Yeah, I saw a guy at the jetty the other day, bit like that area you fish at your accomodation, he was float fishing but couldn't cast more than 6ft, absolutely no idea what they're doing, and they love to leave all their shit behind too, which is about as Unnorwegian as you could get.
What weight and hook u use and leader size on mm?
Hello Paul, I use a 80gram lead with 0.28 leader
Wayne attempts to catch a fish before even casting with his 'scooping the water' technique using a size 10 barbless rubber boot.
Haha cheers mate 😃
Its them new pop boot shads 🤣
why would you use fluro ?
In my opinion fluorocarbon is a stiffer material giving it greater abrasion resistance.
