The primary reason that they are banned is; they're not made in the USA. However, they do tend to have double-digit MPG figures unlke your POS Hummers etc. BTW, the XJ220 is thirty years old. There was not many cars with airbags then...

My ex partner had a Nissan skyline GTR. Great fun. Very fast.
I watch a lot of dash cam footage. Here in US, our cars do not shred apart on impact. Our safety standards are higher than other nations.
