Hi Jim and Steve, the John Cale mix of the Stooges first was originally released in 2020 as a Vinyl Me Please release on like a red and black swirl vinyl. The mix is pretty good, more raw sounding than the official release and the running order of the songs is slightly different. Also, the cover is a different picture of the band. Since I already have the Stooges, the only other Rocktober releases I would be interested in would be the two Stone Temple Pilot albums. Love the topics you've come up with, so keep up the good work!

Thank you so much Michael. We enjoy trying to come up with something different to talk about. These are fun to do especially when it’s with one of your best friends.

There’s a lot of great Jazz albums. I have a jazz collection. Mostly I go after a certain artist like Coltrane, but here and there I try some different albums. I’m not always in a jazz mood when going to grab an album, but I have a good selection to pull from. I wonder why they are releasing a greatest hits kind of thing for Porno for Pyros. Maybe in the future they’ll do a proper AAA release of their albums.

Porno for Pyro Greatest hits is a head scratcher Is it just an EP lol. I have quite a bit of jazz but rarely pull it. I have really cut back on what I buy in that genre now

I'm with Steve, I'm not interested in demos and alternate takes. Especially this album. I am also leery about the John Cale mixes on the Stooges album. I would have jumped on it if it was the original mixes.

sometimes it's interesting to get a peek into the process.. but most of the time I can't get past the feeling their just churning out for the sake of $$$. "here's all the stuff that wasn't good enough for the final version!"
