- Welcome and to my Fallout 76 Camp building tips and tricks video. This video is packed with useful tricks to take your camp to the next level! Many of these have been around for a while, but changes to the game over time have changed how we are able to use them.
This is a great starting point for both newcomers to the game and for veterans alike. Each trick has a quick tutorial and at then end I put together an example of the tricks in use in a small demo build. Check below for all the timestamps and tricks shown in the video.

Way late to this video, but DAMN these are some good tricks. I hadn't seen the stairs-without-foundation or the foundation-merge anywhere else. Fantastic job, earned my Sub! :)

Again a GREAT vid mate thnx for the tricks🙂👍. And about the floating stair; if you wanna attach floors to it without any foundation, it is possible. Only thing you have to do is to make a blueprint of the floor and you're good to go😉
Yeah, I know the floors can be attached, only thing is the one attached to the stairs can't be removed while the stairs are floating. 👍

Thank You for the tips especially the floating structure which saves a lot of ground space for crops planting. Also I didn't know about the flamethrower trick that can make things go through walls: very useful if you need building stuff (like crafting stations and power plants) to be in the 'middle' of the walls. I have been using the carpet tricks to build things through the walls. All can be built with the wall in the middle but there are limitations and restrictions. Anyway, thank you. Yes, I would like to see more videos.

@@mortiis1364 hmm, used the pole trick two weekends ago, but there was the small update this last Tuesday. Patch notes didn't make any note that seemed to target this. I'll have to do some experimenting. Thanks for the heads up. 👍
I see cool stuff like this all the time in peoples camps but never knew how to do any of them. This was all great info for understanding how to do what you think should be possible but bethesda doesn't allow. Thank you. Great video covering essential tips.

Great video! How did you put the walls up with the roof floors? I can never seem to do that.
I used the floating wall trick from the beginning of the vid with the floating roof trick.
I have a goth camp but i have a wall problem.i need half vertical walls. any suggestions?
How did you get such a concise hexagon? I can't seem to get my stuff to line up as neatly as that.
Lots of patience I guess. I know I worked with it quite a bit at a workshop to build the blueprint. I'm on console, so no help from mouse, that's for sure.

Hey great vid, Just a quick question what the best way to remove a floating half wall?
If nothings attached to it then it will come down without an issue. Otherwise it depends on what you have attached. If it's a roof then edit the roof to a sloped one where the edit detaches it from the wall and you'll be able to get rid of it. If it's a wall, then that's a bit tricky. You could try destroying all the walls above it with a flamethrower along with the half wall itself and then scrapping the half wall before repairing the walls above it. Before trying this I recommend changing the wall to a barn style wall before doing the flamethrower destruction.
If all else fails you may have to use the Catwalks to build downward until you can attach a foundation underneath. I've got a recent video on the Catwalks. 👍
I really enjoy your video. I know a few tricks that would make thing a lot easier interesting. Maybe I can show you sometime.

Bethesda should really watch these videos and implement these tricks in. Idk what they are thinking making shelves that you can't place stuff on.

@@VladministratorGaming I watched the video and its good stuff but I meant the old thing where you could stack stairs by placing 2 columns on top of them then deleting the centre one. That no longer works. Also you cannot create a gangway now by placing a half upper floor then attaching a defence wall to the edge of it as it says "needs support".

And yes you can get the railings in if you place a roof under your upper floor. You can the then remove the roof and the railing stays. Pain to get to work, but you can do it.
Is floating bar counters trick still working for you? It doesn't for me after Steel Dawn update :/
I made the video after Steel Dawn, so it should be. But I think last week's patch for season 3 introduced some "bug" fixes for camps that they didn't include in the patch notes. I'll have to give it a check.
Looks like this was patched out with the Season 3 update. 😢

@@higaluto yes, I did it the other weekend. Doesn't work with every object, and you may need to find a different place to try to give the trick a try. They are patching things stealthily, so I'm not sure if it'll be doable after today's inventory update.

So what You're telling me that the freaking stairs and the middle of my camp can't be removed
That would all depend on how you've structured the build. Upper floors have to have stairs attached, so yes if you have upper floors, then you can't remove the stairs that connect the bottom floor to the upper one.

Neat tips, but I never understood why people want things floating in mid air. It's just stupid.
If they're building a spaceship theme then I can see it, but otherwise not much use. They could be trying to avoid mobs attacking, but they never do much anyway.
