So lovely to see such a easy going happy looking family sharing good materials, with your daughter participating alongside in your videos. You can see how natural and relaxed she is and your connection shines through. Thanks for another great review.
Hi! I just found your channel. Absolutely loved this video- you and your daughter are so sweet. I started homeschooling due to the pandemic and plan to continue through high school so I still feel like a newbie! I have rising 4th and 6th grade girls and a rising 10th grade son. I am going to check out your flip throughs for word roots and easy grammar. We are a secular family but use all different types of curriculum- my girls love TGTB handwriting too! Thank you for taking the time to share, it truly helps for those of us that never thought of homeschooling before ❤

Your 11 year old daughter is far more mature than my 11 year old son! 😂 I love that she still "peck types". My son does too, and we are starting formal typing for 6th grade also. What a sweet video! I love the connection you have with your daughter. ❤
😂 They say girls mature faster than boys.🤔I grew up typing due to my mother being a typing instructor at a vocational school. Honestly, I still peck but with a lot more fingers and faster 🤣 She’ll catch on super fast. Thank you for watching! ❤️
Not a dumb question at all. Where we live we have a homeschool band organization. They can play all instruments. We have strings and guitar instruction as well as marching band for 9th grade and up and piano lessons. If you don’t have anything like that where you live, there may be an option to play with the public school bands but you’d want to check with your school system on that.
Hi Morgan. I love the bond you and your beautiful daughters have. It's priceless! I enjoy all of your videos. Even though my kids are grown. But I do have a 6 years old grandson. I also enjoy the flip through
I saw a couple of your videos maybe a year or two back but was scrolling through a lot and not really invested. But today you got a new sub! Both of your daughters look SO much older than what they are!! I thought they were like 8th and 9th- so beautiful and mature- and so well spoken!! My teens don’t have that confidence and clear expressive ability!! (They are boys too lol) and for your girls’ age?! Wow. And lots of great ideas and content- thank you!
Thank you so much! Yes Word Roots is vocabulary. I have a flip through of level one here. Let me know if this helps you out. ❤️ ruclips.net/video/sWolKhdhtMk/видео.html
SUBSCRIBED! Your daughters are gorgeous just like their mama ❤ it's nice seeing other 🖤 homeschooling families 😉 haha. My daughters are going into 5th and 7th (and then there are 3 boys).
Great video! I love seeing your daughter playing such an active role in her education. Can you please give me some tips about starting kids off in the kitchen? Obviously they can’t start chopping and using the stove independently on day one but I would love to aim for that. My boys are 7 and 10 years old and have little to no experience cooking.
Thank you!! I started my girls with grabbing food from the fridge by name, getting plates, cups, utensils (butter knives only), learning the difference between a pot, pan, skillet, baking sheet, and such. They used butter knives to cut whatever they could. Rules of the kitchen like this is NOT a play area. No running, the stove, oven, microwave all yet HOT. Learning where things are housed in your kitchen. Washing easy dishes like utensils, cups, and plates. How to make dish water and what to clean in the kitchen. After we got those things down they gradually started cooking. They would make easy things like smoothies, toast in the toaster, warming food in the microwave. As I saw them progress I added on more information. ❤️
Tillman special sounds yummy! We have something similar. Cornmeal crusted tofu, and oven roasted potatoes and broccoli! Super simple. Got your starch, protein, and veg!
I can get one to practice everyday the other the book is only open at the lesson. You have made some great choices. I would love to see easy grammar. I would love a flip through of Saxon too.

Please share their favorite books read this school year for each of your kids. I need book recommendations! I know you shared that last year. I have a rising 6th grader that loves to read. Thanks!
Yw! There are a lot of factors for determining a writing curriculum for her. Such as reading level, grammar and sentence structure capabilities, interest, and areas for growth. Also, what are the goals for her writing, her grade level, and what type of writing she’s interested in such a creative writing, essay writing, poems etc. There are so many options out there but you would definitely want to assess the things above to start your search. Also, I’m a part of an online community called @Made2Homeschool where you could drop this question and any others, in our open forums, with more details, and get tons of suggestions from homeschool mommas just like you and I. ❤️ Check that out! www.made2homeschool.com But things we have used are Layers of Learning Writers Workshop, Writing Stands by MasterBooks, and just regular reading comp books, and writing prompts. Lots of people like IEW but we’ve never used it.
Thank you! Daily Grams has 180 days of work so we just do one per day. Easy Grammar does not have the number of lessons or days listed. So what we did was count the pages and divide that by how many days we will school. We average about 2 pages per day. BUT you don’t have to do it all. It is sectioned off by verbs, nouns, and such. It also has capitalization, sentences, and writing toward the back. You may not need to do those depending on your child’s level.
Actually your daughter is right. She has an acoustic guitar. Electric guitars are what you plug in There are acoustic guitars and electric guitars. Acoustic guitars don’t require having to plug into an amp. On the other hand, electric guitars require to get plugged into an amp
😂 supplements are prices of educational material to help enhance or give additional practice to what your child is already using. If one of my girls needs extra practice in a specific area I find a supplement to help us out. ❤️
I have a question about the Saxon math. Do you have your daughter do all the problems ? I’ve seen people say they do odds or evens. We just started Saxon so I’m trying to figure how to do it.
Up until recently yes she would do every problem. Now we do ALL of the problems from the current lesson and the 5 previous lessons. If we are not at a minimum of 15-20 questions doing that we will add on any questions that were missed in previous lessons that she may need additional practice doing. This usually gets us between 15-20 questions. The spiral approach really does allow for you to choose if you want your child to do all or some. They will see those types of questions several times over again. Some people do all evens of on even days and odds on odd days. Like May 15 would be odd numbers, 16th even numbers. ❤️
@LifeofTillmans easy grammar and the daily grammar books for grade 6th. If you have grade 5 of each, then that would be a nice flip through as well. Trying to decide which grade level or book would be easier for my son. He has a visual impairment so I have to modify workbooks and present work in larger print.

I’ve always wondered about the easy grammar and daily grams. So she will do the daily grams right before the easy grammar each day?
Yep that’s correct. She takes about 10 minutes or less to do daily grams first and then moves on to easy grammar.
