    • @dominus6224
      @dominus6224 Год назад

      Just goes to show you delusional you are actually. Swinging your arm and therefore opening means you’re prone to a counter, which has happened plenty of times in matches and training, so it’s factual. Imagine being such a delusional fangirl that you immediately think people haven’t trained when they don’t agree with you over something. Swinging your arm means more power, but means higher chance of being countered due to being open. Keeping your guard closed and throwing means less power, but the guarantee of having a fallback in case he does counter. Don’t even bother trying to justify your shitty point. The heavyweight champion in kickboxing (Rico Verhoeven) throws his kicks with closed guard and only throws them with a swing when he’s certain or when he goes for a high kick and there are plenty of other professional fighters who follow the very same principle.

      You’re probably one of those degens who opens up with a kick and a swinging arm. Those are my favorites. I just counter them hard enough to rattle their none existent brain. It’s hilarious and feels great. Keep being a good punching bag though. People like me need those

    • @ThePauloluis
      @ThePauloluis Год назад +1

      you can do with or without the step.
      the step give more power to the kick because you are moving in the same direction, and you head stays off the center line.
      But the step is a bit of a tell.

    • @DankSwegSkuxxXhayel
      @DankSwegSkuxxXhayel Год назад +1

      Yes the wider your pivot the more of an angle your kick will have and therefore more power
      Depends on your sport tho, if you're purely training Muay Thai this is fine but if you are training striking for MMA or something of that nature it would pay to sacrifice the power for being more defensive
      Look up Brad Quake Riddell on RUclips, he's a UFC fighter who fights out of CKB alongside Israel Adesanya... He has many videos detailing high level striking

    • @BlueBamboo9
      @BlueBamboo9 Год назад

      @@ThePauloluis The step is a tell, yes, I can see that😅 Maybe throw a set up and then set in? I feel like that would be the best play. Or, if you're just feeling saucy, just whip that out and catch something😤

      I'm currently boxing, but I would love to get into Taekwondo (Which is why I'm interested in kicks and whatnot). Then, afterwards, further mix other stuff in. I've got a very small background of wrestling and jiu jitsu behind me as well. Muay Thai is on my "To Learn" list too. So it will definitely play a part, at the very least it'll help me look at things differently😤
