Your theater is fantastic. I have the Epson 6050 as well. You seemed to have a larger budget than myself. I am curious why you chose the Epson over let's say the JVC NX7. When JVC comes out with the second generation of the NX7 I will most likely upgrade. Thanks for your reply.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 for me side by side the Epson is excellent! I struggled to see the additional cost for the Jvc I may upgrade when the 8 k projectors are released
Sensational room, excellent build I am sure it performs as good as it looks. The whole space has been very well thought out, from dimensions to acoustic treatment, this is a room I would love to experience, congratulations Lee, and congratulations Tony for a great presentation. Just keep getting better.
Outstanding room lee! Theres not just one particular thing i think is better than the rest, so enjoy your room as much as we enjoy our own! Tony, great new look for the videos mate 👍
This is such a well planned theater. The velvet is such a nice touch. Acoustic screens hiding the speakers are the best way to go for sure. Very nice. BM, this video really took a lot of time to put together. Such quality!!
Thank you for watching. These tours take time to put together, yes, especially as I have to enlist the room owner to film them exactly how I need the footage.
Lee, you had me at B&W. This is an EPIC setup. I love the walls and the grey interior. Super Classy and elegant! Tony, your new video style is really cool as well. I love the graphics! Great video guys!
OMG. This theater is so well designed and executed. The architecture and baffle wall are incredible. I could do without the pinball machines but I doesn't take away from how breathtaking this theater turned out. 😍🤩
That wall looks as soft as a Persian cat. I think I would have endless hours of fun drawing things in that velvet. Amazing room, and amazing video Tony, I love this theater!
Very Nice I’m wondering with the BIG BOWERS ( and with your own Krix) woofers, if the Subs are behind the screen does the screen “wobble” as they boom or low frequencies occur?
If there is wobble you cannot see it. I know Youthman did a video on his setup and he has monster dual 18 JTRs and he said they def wobble, however, you cannot notice it during a movie with the lights off.
Man, what an awesome theater. Forget the multiplex! Love everything about this theater. The design of the walls and ceiling are top notch. Love the screen size and placement. FYI: I also use the beginning of John Wick 3 as a demo. But I bet it is ha whole lot better in that theater!
I want to touch the wall. It looks so soft and fuzzy. Beautiful setup! Add BW to the list of speakers I want to hear in person. The pinball machines are a nice touch and something different that we don’t often see
Well done👍@Build Montage. Great video Tony, I enjoyed the tour! Fantastic room Lee, I bet it sounds awesome with the amount of planning that has gone into the acoustic treatment. Also those B&W speakers! 🤩
What an awesome room, the decor is on point Lee 😁. Interesting to see the differences between harmony and control 4, I'm going with the harmony with my set up.
Beautiful set-up! Now just throw in a JVC NX-7 and you're set. Does the back row seating have built-in risers compared to the front row? The only reason I ask is the elevated platform looks a bit short if all the seating is the same height. Adding quality seats with risers built in wouldn't be cheap, but it would be much easier than increasing the back platform height.
Fantastic design and set up! Would you know the distance between the front row of seats and your 145" screen ? Am thinking of getting a similar sized screen. Great job!
Sorry to nit pick but it doesn't have a coffered ceiling. Also I doubt my 7 pinballs would fit in my theatre room so they can stay in my games room 😁. Keep up the good work Tony 👍
These types of videos usually frustrate me, as the decor seems to win out over performance. But here we have a performance oriented theater with good acoustic design, good gear, smart speaker layout, and good color choices, with good lighting design. They are one Sony 4K or JVC 4K projector away from really, really special.
I was surprised to see the subs behind the screen it's self! In my days of designing sounds systems for the cinema, the subs were always placed just outside of the screen area because of the large movement of air the subs create this air can modulate the screen coursing a disturbance that can be seen on some pictures.
Kaleidescape is provided the master file of the movie and they decide what to do with it. Their movies are not streamed. You download the movie from their server. No compression like with streaming. Their movies sometimes contain more data than the disc. 4k Discs are either UHD50, UHD66 or UHD100. Most are UHD66. If the original master file was over 66 gigabytes of data they cram the data onto a 66GB disc. Kaleidescape routinely has files larger than 100GB, so no compression or less than a 4K disc. People don't think about a 4K disc having compressed data but they routinely do. Kaleidescape sounds and looks better than 4K discs it is just out of the budget for everyone except deep pocket HT enthusiasts. But it is amazing.

@@anthero1515 thanks for watching - and good luck with planning your build. I made a new one a couple of weeks ago which may help you with the planning.
I toyed with this with my own room and opted for 16:9 as well - even though it was a dream to get a scope screen - I just didnt have the horizontal realestate for CIH for 16:9 to have a decent size. Also there are a ton of movies which are 16:9 so unless you have a massive scope screen, sometimes 16:9 will give you the best compromise - this is my experience - I can't speak for Lee :)

what fabric or panels were used for the walls?
I can’t recall. I thought it was explained in the video. It’s acoustic transparent material I believe and absorption on the walls.

Hmmm i wonder what part is the "infinite baffle" part, certainly not the woofers...
As the audio is lossless on the discs, why would the audio of the stratos rival the disc???
Apparently it’s even better - from the original used in cinema releases.

how can a 145'' 16:9 screen be only 2.3m wide... ?
