I just cleaned up my gold fish glass tank, the thing I love about them is the bond I have with them .☺ I don't use net, I pick them by soft hands, sensitive and caring .😉
Great video.. I use a Craftright Assorted Nylon Spring Clamp from bunnings to clap my hose to the aquarium when changing water on my rainbow fish tank.. stops the hose moving around or ever been able to come out.. I really enjoy watching this tank grow.. 👌
What a great and informative video! Your tank looks wonderful and you did an awesome job with the camera work, editing, and narration ❤ I really enjoyed it and you have a very nice voice for listening to also 😊 thanks for sharing all your hard work Kaity! ❤
Thank you for this wonderful in-depth update. I remember being so impressed with the setup video. I'm glad to see how well-loved this tank has been. It is obvious by how beautifully it has matured. It is so difficult to scape a peninsula-style aquarium, and it was genius to make it into a river-style aquascape. It will continue to get better and better as it matures. I adore this tank, and it's really inspired me. Take care, and God bless.
Cool video. Id recommend raising the electricals in the other side of the bottom part of your tank incase that sump ever leaks. an easy step stool works to put them on top of.
You should get yourself one of the flexible expandable hoses that expands when filled with water...so much easier to hook up to the faucet and you don't have to battle with the stiff hose. Great video!
Your Peninsula tank is amazing and I especially love your rainbows. Quick tip with starting your siphon. Fill your gravel vac and get rid of all the air like you did in the video at 16:23 and lift it out of the water with the open end up at an angle. When the water starts flowing down the hose, quickly submerge the whole gravel vac back in the tank with the open end still slightly up. The water should then rush in from the top and complete the siphon. No need to suck on the hose on the other end.
It really did! I'm keen to see how it is at the end of the year, I think it's going to be amazing once the val grows more and the rainbow fish get bigger. Thank you :)
Wonderful bow tank, love the native fish, thanks for introducing Jason , his videos are amazing and inspirational, and your passions are much appreciated !
Hi Kaity, this video is a all in one, with all information's that people like to hear, yr tanks are as always very excellent in all ways, love both of them, thanks a lot for you sharing this with us. 👍👍
Nice video Kaity, the natural algae growth is looking good and the fish can feed off it, that is why I keep most of my driftwood in ponds to keep it seasoned, if it was fresh it would of taken much longer for this to happen, it's looking great and I'm glad your happy with it, those rainbows are firing up nicely, this is how shops should display them as they look so bland when you go to buy them in bare tanks but as you can see they are truely beautiful fish, I noticed it's coming back well since the blue acara have been removed, if you manage to get someone to take your leparinus I can come back and put some more plants in for you if you like, they made short work of those softer plants 🙂I would of taken it off your hands but it doesn't really fit into what I do.
One of the more interesting channels and so helpful to show your maintenance routine, Just wish we could catch such gorgeous fishes here in our UK rivers😍.
hi kaity ! I really like your videos and the way you present them on. Your knowledge your soft appearance and wonderful voice will be a perfect mix for a wonderful result. 👌
That tank looks absolutely amaaaaazing and I want it. I'll give you a full in of Milo and half a Freddo frog. I'll take care of delivery as well bahaha! loved this update Kaity, you smashed it as always!
This is A Show Aquarium.. looks Very Natural…Neurite Snails love Algae.. They do A great Job.. Cleaning A Aquarium.. Hard Work Pay’s off… Great Job Kaity..😀
It was cool to see the fish in the tank after watching the videos where you caught them. I’m still obsessed with your scape too. It’s different enough from my 75g and really cool, but our process for maintenance is pretty much the same. I do have a python aquarium hook for my hose which makes refilling really simple.
Very interesting video. Love the riverbank setup. Looks so natural, just like the creek banks where we used to play in when I was young. Especially enjoyed watching how your sump system is set up and how you do the water change. Just wish I had room to put a large aquarium like that in my house.
Wow this aquarium has came together beautifully! I love the whiptail cat too! I have a few i keep as well and they are such a neat fish. Nice job on maintaining this and fish look excellent as well
@@Kaityscichlids I've got the same plant under the same light, and I use API Leafzone, but for some reason mine doesn't seem to be growing since I got it a month ago, it only seems to lose leaves....how do you get yours looking so good? 😆
Regarding water change,it s better you have a container for new water, adding conditioner there, letting water be there for at least one day,and it should be at the same temperature with the tank. Other things are perfect👍.
Love the tank. Was going to opinion that its missing a centerpiece fish.. but wow when your monsters grow up it will be well filled. I cant help but imagine some large wild form discus in there with a few less rainbows. But maybe not. Anything large australian will probably eat the rainbows. The rainbows look and swim like they're very happy though!!! Thanks for making the video.
Thank you so much :) Yes they still have a fair bit of growing to do!! I think once it has been set up for a year and everything has grown in it's going to look even more beautiful
Great video Kaity, thank you! I did notice though you referred to your plecos as bristlenoses. Ancistrus cirrhosus is true Bristlenose the plecos you have in your river tank are different species.
Hi kaity im pete from lightning ridge nsw. Love your videos I've got fresh and salt, had them for years, your problem with the floating plants is the pothos, it sucks all the good stuff out of the water and the other plants suffer. Cheers
Great video thanks for sharing. Jason did a great job. I'd love a tank like this with just natives though. Since seeing your video about catching rainbows and a couple other videos I've gone out a few times to see what's in my local creek (I'm in Bris as well), so many cool little natives, and annoyingly some ferals as well.
Thank you Kai! That's so great to hear, I'm glad you got to find some natives in the wild :) I am keen to make it just a native tank except for the L plecos I have
Great video! The 4k update was really worth it!
Hehe yayyy, I'm so glad to heat that!! I was so impressed with the difference between the cameras in this video
@@Kaityscichlids it's well worth the extra rendering time in the end!
It's rare, here in Brazil, to see some woman so into the hobby like this, awesome! You do have a piece of the river home !

I think I definitely need to get one of these to take the stress away and stop balancing that hose lol. Thank you heaps Drew :)
Your peninsula river tank is aging beautifully. I like that hardscape so much.
Thank you 😊 Yes I'm really happy with how it's coming along! Apart from the cyanobacteria lol

I love hardscaping tanks and yours is amongst the best I've seen. I miss my rainbow fish; you're fortunate to have them so close to home.
